Port Island is rather still during the Dark Hour. It almost seemed serene despite the green hues, coffins, and strange running pools of a blood like substance.

 The calm is broken by a man running frantically down the street like his life depended on it....it did. The man crashes into some trash cans, making a loud commotion as he struggled to his feet again. "Oh god. Ohgod! PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!! They're gonna kill me!!"

 From behind a voice rang out from a distance away, followed by the click of a gun's hammer. "My friend. You are only postponing the inevitable..." Takaya moved leisure through the streets, smiling serenely as he kept closing the distance. "Your name is on the list. I wouldn't us for your fate as we're just the hand doing their bidding...No, blame the person you angered who hired us." Takaya holds the gun over his head as he continues closing the distance.

 "P,p,p,p,please!! SoMEBODY HELP ME!!!" The man cries out again, running into one of the black coffins, which stands firmly as the man falls backwards.

All it takes is one casual throw of one of Jin's grenades and the man is obliterated from existence. Mission accomplished.

"Tch. Too easy."

Jin's been feeling bored ever since Sudou died, as much as he hated to admit it. Now they were back to their hum-drum Dark Hour killings. It used to be satisfying enough for Jin, but not anymore.

"I think we need to kick up some dust. There's so many 'bad guys' around these days that I think we're fadin' into the background. I don't want anyone thinkin' we're just your everyday goon-for-hire killers."

Takaya whistles as he watches the explosion obliterate the man. He was impressed by the sheer audacity of his partner, cupping a hand under his chin as he nodded approvingly.

 "Yes. Unfortunately." Takaya has been equally underwhelmed by the loss of Sudou. It wasn't like the messiah figure felt any sadness for the Joker Killer's death but Takaya had to admit that Sudou was useful.

 "Hmm. you may have a point there Jin...Though I think part of our problem is that dreadful bunch of teenagers and their highly supported group. Where as we have scraps, they have special devices for every occasion...but that does make me think..."

 Takaya moves to the black burn mark that was once a person, ignoring any of the blood and viscera for the moment. "Considering who was after our friend Sudou...I think they owe us reparations for our loss."

 Takaya didn't know the man who shot Sudou was NWO but he was highly suspicious of such a organization.

 "Jin, do you think we should go get some pay back from the people who took one of our own?" Takaya turns his head slowly to look at the other man.

Jin wasn't particularly fond of Sudou, so he didn't feel any strong feelings of revenge. If they were to hurt Takaya or Chidori or Niko, that'd be a different story -- not that Jin would ever admit that.

Still, it might be good for Niko to have someone to direct her anger at.

"Sure," Jin says with the same casual tone he might use for agreeing on a place to eat dinner. "Give me a day to do some investigating. I should have some more info about our target then."

"You are astounding, Jin. Really" Takaya says as Jin is already taking care of the grunt work. The shirtless man uncocks his gun and slips the gun into the band of his pants.

 "We should find something interesting within their corridors. Something that will be of use against those who would try to stop us." He sighs as he finds a wall to lean on, crossing his skinny arms.

 There is a long pause before Takaya looks at Jin, meeting eyes with the bespectacled man. "Jin...What are your thoughts on where we are going. You have been with me since the beginning so I wish to know what your insight to the situation we find ourselves in." Maybe Jin saw something Takaya didn't, not that he would admit such a thing.

It doesn't register on his face, but Jin is pleased at the compliment. Coming from just about anyone else, he might have dismissed the compliment wholesale, but compliments from Takaya just hit different.

"A lot more people have Awakened. There's a lot more Persona-users than I ever thought there'd be." There had been other Persona-users for as long as Jin could remember, but the number had increased exponentially in the last year or so.

"I'm thinkin' there's got to be a reason for it. If there is, we need to figure out what it is and close that valve quick."

Takaya hummed as he listened to Jin explain the lay of the land. He nodded slowly.

 "This is true. In ways that I never couldn't have imagined as well..." He comments, thinking about the number of troublesome kids getting in their way. Like the park incident. Takaya frowns, feeling his arms tighten around himself instinctually.

 "That might be another reason to go and look at the Conspiracy's lab...While we stalk in the shadows, they are studying what is going on. And as much as it would be preferable to deal a blow to SEES, I don't believe that will allow a second attack on their dormitory in order to check their findings."

Jin shifts where he stands, setting his briefcase-less hand on his hip.

"If we plan on tanglin' with SEES again, we need to be discreet. I'm thinkin' we find ourselves a man on the inside." But who? "Not sure how many of 'em would be willing to flip sides. Even Aragaki wants nothing to do with us."

Jin scoffs slightly at the name.

"If we hold one of their loved ones hostage or somethin' as leverage, they're just gonna get all their Persona buddies to attack us."

A big part of why they need to close that valve.

"So attackin' the lab's probably our best bet right now."

Takaya smiles at Jin's suggestion. "Oh I have a person in mind already."

 The man lets that hang there for a moment before continuing. "A lost lamb came to me while I was reading in the park. One with an interesting Resonance...We should use him to get the drop on SEES unless we find someone on the inside of their accursed organization." He nods slowly.

 "He will come through for us. It will be part of his grand initiation into our fold since he doesn't seem as with the program as the rest of us."
