-================================================== Sumaru City/Konan Ward ====-
Konan Ward is right up on the ocean, which could be considered one of its best
features; Ebisu Beach is but a stone's throw away for those who live here in one
of the many local apartment complexes, like Lunar Palace. The presence of the
Konan Police Department might make one feel safer too, though there's bad rumors
about nasty things lurking in the abandoned factory. All kinds of businesses are
available at the Seaside Mall.

The Aerospace Museum to the south, right next to the beach, is a great place to
take young kids on a field trip--they'll be able to learn all about the history
of aviation with tons of model planes and even a built-to-scale replica blimp
that rumors claim is real and can fly. Surely that's just children's
imaginations running away with them, though.
MONAD: A party led by Jun Kashihara has begun the event Aerospace Museum.

The Konan District's Aerospace Museum is easy enough to find, in part
because it has a life-sized Zeppelin replica attached to the building as
both exhibit and restaurant. Rumor has it that it can actually fly, but well
you can't believe everything you hear, right?

In the lobby, there's World War II memorabilia, including a Mitsubishi A6M
Zero hanging in pristine condition from the roof above. The lobby looks
empty save for a beautiful young man in the Kasugayama High uniform that
some may recognize as Jun Kashihara. He's looking around with a fretful
frown, as if searching for a museum employee; upon spotting you, he
approaches with a letter in hand to say:

"Excuse me--I don't mean to alarm you, but you should leave immediately.
  Someone dangerous is coming here..."

The letter in his hand is tightly clenched, but the eagle-eyed can make out
a message like 'cOMe aLOnE tO ThE AerOspAcE MuSEUM oR ELsE <3' in a
  scrawled, erratic hand.

No sooner does he start a conversation with you, when abruptly an entire
wall detonates into a great conflagration, as some incendiary device
  detonates.

"Kya-hahaha! Welcome to my walk down memory lane. Guess you ran into the
first of my bombs. The next will go off in the stairwell, then the other
floors will go up in flames one by one!"

As flames of expiation light the heavens
The Lion's roar echoes far and wide

"Don't you remember? It's just like the Other Side. There's a field trip
touring the museum right now. If you don't get those kids to the roof,
they'll become barbeque! Better hurry! Kya-hehehe-ahahahaha!"

Your first challenge is rather simple, the voice wasn't kidding about the
stairwell going up in flames next. You have seconds to locate it, and run up
to the second floor before the fastest way to the second floor goes up in
  flames.

Can you make it in time?

OOC: The Red Text in this Monad represents déjà Vu moments from 'the Other
Side'. If you've determined that your character was not present in Innocent
Sin, or you haven't decided yet, then you can ignore these moments.

 (|=========================================================== Monad 1.1 ====|)
<Pose Tracker> Jun Kashihara has posed.

Jun stares down at the note with the erratic message scrawled on it, clutched with trembling hands.

That's how it always goes in horror movies, isn't it? There's always one final sting from the monster.

However, when he takes a deep breath and looks up, it's with steely eyes.

     ~ * ~

It's a bad time. Jun doesn't know if Sudou timed it this way on purpose or not, but he's ditching midterms to be at the Aerospace Museum. He notes with concern that there's a busload or two of elementary school students here on a field trip. All the more reason for him to approach anyone he can sense to warn them--especially someone who works here and can organize a formal evacuation. He's already run into several Persona Users, though only for brief encounters. The timeline is a little wobbly like that. Blame Him.

Relief floods him when he spots none other than the Death Boss enter the Aerospace Museum. He approaches Eikichi with that note clutched in his hand.

"Eikichi-kun, I'm so glad you're here. The Joker Killer is coming," he tells him, not wasting a moment to mince words. "Can you help me find an employee or someone else in charge--?"

BOOM. The entire wall of the entrance EXPLODES into flames as a bomb detonates. Jun shouts in alarm, staggering a step; the letter flies out of his grasp and catches a spark. There's only a moment for Eikichi to read its message before it's incinerated: 'cOMe aLOnE tO ThE AerOspAcE MuSEUM oR ELsE <3'

"Kya-hahaha! Welcome to my walk down memory lane. Guess you ran into the first of my bombs. The next will go off in the stairwell, then the other floors will go up in flames one by one!" Sudou's voice resonates--perhaps through an intercom system, perhaps through... other means. "Don't you remember? It's just like the Other Side. There's a field trip touring the museum right now. If you don't get those kids to the roof, they'll become barbeque! Better hurry! Kya-hehehe-ahahahaha!"

As flames of expiation light the heavens
The Lion's roar echoes far and wide

Jun's vow to Tatsuya not to remember is embodied in Argeiphontes' altered form; that chilling, gut-twisting moment of déjà vu doesn't affect him, at least not in this moment. Eikichi might not be so lucky, however...

"Damn him!!" Jun hisses, not noticing either way. "Eikichi-kun, we've got to hurry!!" He points towards the back. "The stairs are that way--I remember from a previous trip. Let's go!"

Fortunately, Jun doesn't need déjà vu. He's just a nerd who visits museums for fun.

MONAD: Jun Kashihara has acted with Dream Talk toward The Other Side! Smarts and Efficient!
<Pose Tracker> Eikichi Mishina has posed.

Eikichi should be at midterms but sometimes there were things more important school...like ditching class to investigate a museum. The Death Boss strolls over to Jun when he spots his fellow student.

Eikichi admittedly was only semi-aware that the Joker Killer was so close. So when he reads the note and hears the explosions, a devilish grin appears on his face. "Ok. Lets get these kids out of here so I can take this stupid jerk's teeth."

Eikichi is about ready to go when a wave of something hits him. The Death Boss struggles to keep standing as his knees buckle for the general unpleasantness of remembering. Eikichi winces, clutching his head as he stares at the floor.

Then it's gone. Eikichi blinks, looking over to Jun. "The hell was that?" He asks as he looks toward the stairs. He doesn't question Jun's directions, wanting to get away from whatever that feeling was.

Eikichi forces himself to keep moving, cracking his knuckles with one hand. His other hand is holding his guitar case.

<Pose Tracker> Jun Kashihara has posed.

Eikichi asks what 'that' was, and considering a bomb just went off and Sudou broadcast a message for everyone in the museum, Jun might be forgiven that he means that.

"The broadcast system... doesn't feel quite right, does it?" Jun says over his shoulder as the two hurry on before the flames can envelope the ground floor. "It's no surprise that Sudou-san has strange powers we don't know about, though!"

In the breast pocket of his own school uniform, a yellow lily rests. In his right hand, though, he clutches a sprig of lilac. It's a surprisingly effective weapon.

The second floor of the Aerospace museum is already filling with smoke, as
flames from the first floor have already caught hold here, licking along
several particularly flammable spaces. Exhibits about the history of
aviation in Japan and in general are lined up with artifacts of prior
  generations.

Fifteen. Fifteen minutes. That's how long you have to find the kids and get
to the roof. You're not sure why you get that instinct.

You've gotta find those kids! Quick!

Unfortunately there are demons coming down the hallway already. Horse-headed
creatures that stand on two-feet. With a whinny of rage, they come at you,
spreading more flames with Maragi spells.

And that's just the first group of them.

You have to search this floor quickly AND thoroughly, fighting demons as you
go, paths that were open before closing off in flame.

<Pose Tracker> Eikichi Mishina has posed.

The building is beginning to fill with smoke as the Kasugayama students reach the next floor. Eikichi nods at Jun's answer, accepting as the Death Boss takes stock of the situation.

15 minutes to save the kids? Is that right.

Eikichi clenches his teeth as he spots the various things that will soon catch fire and make this harder. And then there are the demons who are showing up to make this very annoying.

"Kashihara, I'm gonna deal with this horse guy and these punks. You focus on getting the kiddos.

Eikichi makes his way toward the first demon, sighing as he takes out his guitar case and sends a strifing spray to keep the demons mostly busy, aiming at their feet to try to throw them off balance.

"Come on, Sudou. Messing with kids is low even for ya. What the hell is wrong with ya?!"

Eikichi keeps firing, attempting to kick in doors for Jun as he focuses on offense/distraction.

<Pose Tracker> Jun Kashihara has posed.

Fifteen minutes? Is that right? Jun didn't hear anything about that... But Eikichi didn't say anything either, so he simply doesn't know.

He pulls a handkerchief from his pocket to press against his nose and mouth as smoke chases the two of them upstairs. It's smoke inhalation and not the fire itself that's the big killer in situations like this. That's to say nothing of all the painstakingly curated exhibits. It hurts Jun's heart to see them catch flame.

But then several horse-headed demons charge their way, at exactly the wrong moment.

"Eikichi-kun--!" Jun starts to protest when he says he'll take on the demons alone. However, this is no time to argue, and after a second's hesitation, he nods. "All right. I'll find them for certain!"

He'll hurry on ahead, letting Eikichi cover his back as he goes, opening doors rapidly and efficiently thanks to his current-world memories of the museum's basic layout. Where doors are locked, Eikichi is conveniently there to kick them in. A good thing, considering how Jun's hands are starting to shake. He quite agrees with Eikichi's sentiment about Sudou; are there no depths to which he won't sink?

<Pose Tracker> Eikichi Mishina has posed.

Eikichi blinks as he starts to wonder if Sudou is in his head. He looks over to Jun briefly, unsure if the other student was hearing the pyromaniac. Was even Eikichi hearing it.

"Get out of my head!" Eikichi finally says, shooting one of the demons with a spray of gunfire. He takes in a sharp breath, looking over to Jun again.

The pair are able to get the kiddos to safety and hold off the demons. Still the Death Boss looks semi-worried as he clutches his head. "Ok...I think the Joker Killer is getting in my head...How the hell did he manage that?!"

For the moment, this floor is mostly clear as the flames begin to become more of a problem. "Ugh..as weird as this is, we gotta keep going. Otherwise no one is gonna be ok."

Entering an exhibit on the events leading up to Westernisation and the

Now is the time to change that. What do you say to them!?

<Pose Tracker> Jun Kashihara has posed.

Jun frowns in concern at Eikichi. "Good question," he says, thinking he means metaphorically. "He's getting to all of us--but don't let him distract you. Those children are counting on us."

They've both got to focus. Fortunately, the next door Jun opens, there the children are--or some of them, at least, but with everyone else racing against the clock, this is going to be a solid chunk. Jun smiles in relief at the sight of them huddled on the floor, away from the smoke.

Of course, the children are terrified--some crying, some begging for help, all shaking. Jun does his utmost to project gentle confidence as he smiles down at them.

"Come now, children--the Galactic Railroad isn't stopping here for you just yet. The heart of Scorpio might burn, but as a water sign, it will protect us on the way to the roof," he says with confidence. By coincidence (?), Eikichi is himself a Scorpio--Jun should have no way of knowing that, and yet this does feel like the right thing to say here. "Hold each others' hands so you don't get lost and follow us!"

<Pose Tracker> Eikichi Mishina has posed.

Eikichi sighs when Jun seems to take his meaning wrong. Though maybe the smarter student was right. This could be just nerves...right?

Upon opening the door to the next group, Eikichi spots the kids and frowns. They were scared and truth be told there was some part of Eikichi that was too.

Eikichi doesn't know his a Scoprio either. Still, Eikichi kinda gets what Jun is doing and tries to use his charisma to inspire the children to bravery in dire circumstances.

"Thats right, kids. I am the Scorpion warrior and I'm gonna kick this fire in the ass with my water boots. Hold hands and lets get on to cool things like pizza and Phoenix Featherman!" Eikichi poses, pointing upward dramatically as if he's trying to pierce the heavens.

While hurrying through hallways, you reach one of many display rooms
featuring rows of glass cases full of aeronautical displays. Some of them
look old and valuable. In fact... is that one case... unlocked?! Score! You
can open it up and grab some kind of convenient item, like a healing Gem or
Chewing Soul or even a Miracle Soda! (What are these doing in a museum
  display case, you ask? Shhh.)

Except at a second glance, there seem to be alarm wires running under the
case that are partially frayed and melted from the conflagration. If you
open that case, the snapping of those wires might trigger a small blast--not
enough to kill but certainly enough to harm. /Certainly/ enough to destroy
the case and whatever's inside it.

Do you dare risk it and potentially get some vital, maybe even life-saving
item? Or do you have enough problems to deal with right now without
  needlessly adding another?

<Pose Tracker> Eikichi Mishina has posed.

Eikichi grins at the children, nodding at their praise for him. Even the Scorpion warrior needed some praise from time to time.

As Jun, Eikichi, and the kids get further through the sprawling hallways, the party stops in front of a case.

The case seems to be some artifacts on loan from another museum...which might explain why these non-aeronautic items are here. There are several healing items, which gleam in the light, catching the Death Boss' eye. He stops in front of the case and looks around. "Uhhhh...you think we need this stuff? Or should we move on?"

The case looks fine, save for the exposed wiring which gives Eikichi pause. Considering who they are dealing with, this could be a trap designed to maim them.

Nevermind the kids were a priority.

"I mean I'll open it if you think we need it but I think we might be taking a risk considering...."

<Pose Tracker> Jun Kashihara has posed.

It really does break Jun's heart to see all these artifacts and exhibits go up in flames... Oh, but there's a case that's still intact--and it looks like it's not locked. What's more, they look to be healing items, something Jun is only just becoming aware of as a fledgling Persona User.

"Hmm..." Jun's eyes also go to the exposed wiring as Eikichi asks him his opinion, and he kneels down as the children cluster behind the two of them. "Let me snip these wires first. We don't want them sparking." He smiles at Eikichi and the children. "To protect everyone's dreams for the future, we'll need to make sure we're all healthy as we leave, right?"

Fortunately, he has a small pair of gardening shears in one pocket, and he draws them to cut the wires. If nothing goes off--so much the better; it means Eikichi can open up that case without any harm.

Eikichi coughs from the dust and debris, wincing as he looks over their gains. Some healing implements which might come in handy for the electrical burns Eikichi just received.

portion of the floor acts as a walkway that leads right up to it. There's no

But he grins for the kids, and Jun smiles too. "You're right. We should've been more cautious." ...but that doesn't mean they don't take those surviving items. Eikichi's sacrifice must not be in vain!

From there on, there's a large room in which a life-sized model airplane hangs. The lower floor is already in flames, but it hasn't yet reached the upper floor. Fortunately, the door that moves onwards is only a little further along, and Jun ushers the children over there quickly without glancing at the model plane, comforting some of the more emotionally frayed children with his flowers.

After all, even on the Other Side, he wasn't here for this. Even without the protection of Argeiphontes, Jun wouldn't 'remember.' Eikichi, however, might hear the screams of a girl begging for help... right over where the airplane is. Even though there's no one over there.

They arrive at the room with the big plane, prompting a whistle from Eikichi as he takes it all in. Thats about when the scream of the girl start up in Eikichi's head. The Death Boss winces, clutching the side of his head. "Damnit. That bas---" He glances toward the children and sighs. "That jerk is doing it again, Kashihara..." Eikichi announces, checking around the plane to just make sure.

No...Noone was here except them and the kids.

<Pose Tracker> Jun Kashihara has posed.

Jun nods in understanding. If he'd been the one to get a shock, he'd be wary of trying to open any display cases too.

They'll both vent their wrath on Sudou before the day is done, mark his words.

As Jun is escorting the kids, Eikichi clutches his head and checks out the airplane. "Doing what?" he says, blinking over at him. His lips purse into a concerned frown. "Is something the matter?"

But there's no one around the airplane. That's a good thing. It would be terrible if someone were about to fall into the fires below. The battle cry goes a long way in rallying the children, too, and they shout back, many of them throwing their hands in the air.

    "Yeah! We're not scared!"

"Scorpio Warrior's here to protect us! Along with Flower Boy!"

    Jun smiles nervously. "F-Flower Boy?"

Still--there's a dread sensation that rings even in his chest. Jun may be protected from the déjà vu, but he is not immune, and this particular feeling is one he's felt before... Now he understands what Eikichi meant. Shooting a glance over at his friend, he gives him a grim nod before they move forward towards the roof.

They'll get these children to safety, no matter what.
