  • Summary: Hisataka Shinjo decides to pay a so-called Palace a visit, given his recent dealings with Masayoshi Shinjo. Certain individuals who rule over power take offense to this..."

A speck, in a vast wasteland of sand, heading towards an antique pyramid.

Look closer. No closer than even that.

Do you see now, how he is bigger than that pyramid? Do you see now, how he is larger than the entire world?

Look behind him, and you'll see no footprints in the sand. Patiently he walks anyway, no bead of sweat gracing his forehead, as he finally stands in the shadow of the great pyramid.

A smirk graces his lips, as he chuckles, "How shameless. You truly couldn't do anything but help yourselves, could you?"

If he were still a mortal he might feel outrage over this. Or perhaps the crushing despair of knowing that what took mortal hands years to create, another being can do with but a thought.

Instead, he felt only mild mirth, before the ambivalence set in. This was merely a task. He was a supernatural errand boy. Adjusting his sunglasses, he looked beyond the realm, into its metaphysical underpinnings. He smiles thinly, "Child of psience, hermit of sorrow... from whence does such wrath bloom?"

He clucks his tongue, before he extends a hand, and within the Palace, three doors shudder, and shake, as yellow police tape begins to buckle, then shear off. The doors burst open, and three streaks of blue, green and red spill out of the pyramid, arcing in trails of light towards the figure in the sands.

Three skull-like seeds fall into his hands, each still aglow and before he took so much as a glance. There was the sound...

... of a chainsaw motor revving.

And a young girl heatedly and loudly addressing it over that sound. "Hey! You! Thief! We caught you red-handed!" The garb of a prison guard upon someone of small stature, while brandishing an enormous chainsaw as large as the person wielding it may look ridiculous to the untrained eye, however...

The other was merely shaking her head, in similar garb, but brandishing a clipboard, as she spoke in a voice that barely could be heard over the motor. "How brazen..."

"This is a clear violation of the pact you've made with our Master!"

"We are to give you one chance to put back what you've taken and leave."

The revived god turned around to regard the pair. "...I was wondering when the one winged butterflies would show. I have taken nothing but what is allowed to all who explore this 'Palace' your master presides over."

"You are not supposed to be in this realm at all!" Caroline shouted back at him.

"And yet, it was not the power of the Crawling Chaos which I used to acquire them. See for yourself. The realm has been in no way touched by 'Him'."

"You think you can mouth off to us on a /technicality/? That's it! I'm teaching you a lesson you'll not soon forget!"

A shadow fell over the man's face, deeper than the pyramid itself, "What lesson do you think it is that you can teach me?" He asked with both mirth and menace in equal measure.

"You-! Just for that! YOUR HEAD IS GOING TO ROLL!" Justine, who had been more silent, speculative, eventually proclaims. "Caroline... he's right. His pact with the master was only that 'he' will not touch these realms."

"But- that's just! It's not in the spirit of things." Caroline protested, as Justine sighed, and shook her head from side to side, "If we held him to account now, it would be our side breaking the agreement and bringing shame to our Master."

"EuuuoOOOHHHHH THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!" Caroline shouted, stomping her foot so as to kick up a cloud of sand, as she turned off the chainsaw in annoyance.

"I'll be taking my leave of this realm now. I've had quite enough of this 'Oxymoron' of a comedy show."

As Shinjo vanished from the world in a shadowy haze, Caroline was already revving her Chainsaw again, "COME BACK AND SAY THAT AGAIN!" As Justine pointed out, "Why are you so upset? He's merely reading it off our hats..." Turning off her Chainsaw again in disgust, she protests, "Well because that's our thing! He's not allowed to just /say/ it."

A moment later though, Caroline follows up with, "Hey Justine, what's a comedy show anyway?"

Justine looks stumped, despite her placid mannerisms, before replying, "I'm not quite certain... perhaps we should ask the inmate the next time he visits."

"We can't just ASK him. We're supposed to be guiding him. We'll have him uh, take us to one I guess!" "That would be a pleasing way to find out what one is, certainly."

A blue-hued door of bars appeared, and as if the two were simply walking back to work, the pair opened it and entered, leaving the sun-baked wasteland to its own devices.
