Lisa is seated in her usual spot in homeroom, chatting with her friends and groupmates Sheba and Mee-ho.
"Oh, not coming with us this time?" Sheba asks, and Mee-ho goes, "Aww. Well, that's okay! We'll catch up again later, Lisa-chan."
"Right," Lisa says, and smiles. "You two have fun, OK?"
"Yeah!"
Then Lisa goes back to fiddling with her bag; presumably there's some stuff she has to rearrange, so as her friends leave, what better time is it to walk up to her?
There isn't one!

Not every girl gets to have an up and coming idol as her classmate in homeroom. It's probably not a new occurance for Lisa to field questions from her classmates (boys and girls alike) at this juncture, but even in the span of time since the concert, Maria hasn't had the chance.
(Pictured, with an arrow pointing right at her, Maria, spacing out during history class, or English, or at the end of the day...)
But not today. Today, Maria has a plan and she's had to lock in accordingly.
"Lisa-chan!"
It's also her lucky day, it would seem. "Hi there!" she says, waving with both hands as she zooms in on her classmate. She notices something, as she does: Sheeba and Mee-ho aren't here. "Are your friends not here? Hey, if you're not busy, do you mind a few minutes?"
She looks quite invested in... something.

Lisa's used to it, and she doesn't mind--well, she minds some of them, when the question is 'will the idol go out with me', because she can tell when a guy's interested in her just with starstruck eyes... and she's kind of sore about the whole thing where she couldn't date anyway.
Anyway, Maria comes up to her, and because she's in her homeroom, Lisa knows her. ...ANd because she was at the concert, she remembers she was there recently! "Wai!" Lisa greets in return, and smiles. "Oh, they just left--they wanted to go shopping, but I was going home early today."
Beat, "But not so early I can't make time for you, Maria-chan. What's on your mind?"
Invested in... what, though???
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
Maria, of course, knows nothing of this: she's about as far as someone can get from the cutthroat world of the young idol. She'd be a little shocked, and maybe even a little horrified, if she knew: aren't these the days that are supposed to be the prime of one's life? Just sitting back and, not seeing anyone because you're not supposed to is like contrary to every young teen girl's experience!
In their first year, they hadn't been in the same class. And at the start of this year, or just about, Maria had been in an accident and missed almost a month of school to recover. Because of that, she'd been on the back foot for making new friends among her current classmates (not that she's terribly lacking in the friendship department any) but it didn't mean she didn't know Lisa until her rise to stardom or that they hadn't talked, now and then. It's entirely possible they went to elementary school together, for one thing! ...Even if that never meant that they were super, special friends or anything.
Maria, after all, has always been into sports. And Lisa...
"Oh, uh-huh," she chirps, as Lisa explains. "Gotcha! I know how it is. I have to go and help out at home, too, sometimes." Even if she'd rather be out and about.
Lisa says that she can make time for Maria, though.
"Great!" Maria grins, beaming at Lisa. "So, you see... I want to make a club. Do you bike, Lisa-chan?"
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Maybe there's a reason Lisa has a good impression of Maria!!
Lisa did go to elementary school in the area; maybe she remembers Maria from back then, from different classes. She's lived in Rengedai all her life, after all.
Helping out! Well, that's not what Lisa is doing but, she doesn't want to say that. Instead, "Dad wants me to do some stuff," she says, "And I figure I should be nice now and then. He's doing his best." It drives her crazy, but it used to be much worse--and now that she has her sister to look out for... Well, it's more improtant to keep things good with her family.
But she sees that grin and is pleased. "A club, huh?" Lisa asks. "Hmm. Not much," she admits. "I mostly just walk around or take the train."
"I used to when I was little, though."
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
They've never been close buddies, but they have been in each other's general orbit as far back as Maria can remember. And now she gets to say, one of her classmates is an idol! How cool is that?
"Uh huh," Maria says, nodding along as Lisa explains. "It's neat that your dad and you are so close, though?"
Maria's own father is, uh...
Well, she did see him again after she got 'found' after 'going missing'. She overheard one of the officers telling her grandmother that they suspect she was seeing a boy! How rude, she got kidnapped by a pink cockatoo!
Which might be a magic cockatoo.
Maria's still not sure just what Jerri is.
But, alas, Lisa does not bike.
"Aww," says Maria, her shoulders slouching. But she rallies! "Well, do you know anyone who likes to bike? I'm trying to get enough people together for bike club. That way, I can go and say, 'we should have a biking club', right? I think I have to convince the principal, or, well, the interim principal?" It's more than that. She'll also have to talk someone from the faculty into being the supervisor, not to mention all the paperwork involved. Add to that the issue of what they'd do with anyone who wanted to join but didn't have a bike...
Running, by contrast, is easy for a school to manage. Sewing club is easy. Cooking club? Easy. Providing an entire damn bike to someone? ...Trickier.
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Close... "I guess so, huh?" Lisa asks. "Even when he drives me nuts, I'm lucky to have him," she admits. She has to be positive for her reputation--but realizing it compared to girls without dads at all... It makes her think.
Magic. Luckily Lisa's not involved with that.
"Hmmm. I don't..." She taps her cheek though, thinking about it from her seat. "I know that Suou-san has a motorcycle. But bicycles? ...Oh, wait. You could check at the bike racks? The people who are there obviously like bikes, since... they have them!"
"I think that's right though. You'd have to convince Ms. Ideal. I dunno how easy that'll be..."
Unless, of course, Maria can indicate that the bikes are somehow supernatural. That might help?
Lisa is too busy for clubs these days, herself. So are Sheba and Mee-ho. But she does have other stuff...
"That's cool though. It shows a lot of initiative, wanting to make your own club."
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
"Yeah," says Maria, just a touch less enthusiastically than is her baseline. But of course, Lisa would know that chestnut, how Maria's father works and stays in Tokyo, coming to Sumaru to visit her and her mother and grandmother when he can. That's been the case ever since before the two of them even first met: working arrangments can be hard on families when one party needs special care, or can't do child-care on her own.
Lisa, most likely, has probably even seen Maria's mother once or twice. She does what she can, but being in a wheelchair is certainly limiting.
"Yeah, but that's a motorcycle," Maria sighs, and she might not be the sharpest pencil in the set, but even she knows that a motorbike club wouldn't fly at all. She doesn't even have a motorbike! She doesn't even have a license!
But she could check at the racks. You know, where the people who ride their bikes to school would be?
"Oh, right!" says Maria, who...
Well, Lisa probably also knows this fact about Maria.
(Why didn't her friend Haruka tell her? Because Haruka, her best frienemy, wanted to see if Maria figured that one out on her own. Call it curiosity!)
Of course, then she'd also have to convince Maya Okamura.
"...Yeah," says Maria, frowning. "If, I told that um... aliens... liked bikes," Maria says, thinking this one out in real time, "do you think that would sway her...?"
No. No, it wouldn't. She's mixing her interests up with Kashihara's, anyway!
But that's initiative for Maria, who beams, sparkling flowers and all, in response. "Hehe, you think so? My first idea was for an urban exploration club, but... I didn't think that would go over really well." Oh good, she has some sense! "I was trying to think of a sport I'd want to do, right?" She peers at Lisa. "Or some kind of activity! Hey, you're not in any clubs right now, are you Lisa-chan? I guess being an idol's got to be pretty busy. So, are they going to have a new concert soon, or...?"
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Lisa knows a little about Maria's family just because of how long they've known each other, even if not closely. It's part of why even Lisa, who can be insensitive, isn't going to complain about her dad in front of her.
Maria does know that. "yeah," she says. And then--the bikes! Well...
Lisa did mention it at least. "Right," Lisa says. "It might help! Though they've mostly have left by now I guess..."
Anyway, ".....Prrrrrobably not," Lisa says, a sweatdrop almost visible at her face. Almost. "But I dunno enough about that kind of thing to help."
Initiative! "I do!" ...Urban exploration would not fly. "Hmm," she says. "Yeah! Well, if you like kung fu I could get you in touch with my sifu!" she says, brightly. "...But no, I'm not. We're not gonna have another concert for another month or two at least, but we are hoping to get another album out before too much longer..."
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
Most of the people Maria's known most of her life know the gist of things, that her mother was paralyzed after being hit by a car, that her father is stuck working in Tokyo but sends money home, that she was mostly raised by her grandparents.
That she was badly injured in a subway accident earlier in the year.
It's just that, such things are beyond commenting on at this point. Superfluous, in fact.
Lisa's clue (Could Maria have figured it out on her own? it is a mystery) hips Maria to the fact that she probably has a whole range of people to ask! ...Whether or not they're interested in riding as a group, school-hosted-style, is a separate question. Maybe she'd be better off looking into riding clubs outside of school, but at the same time, it probably can't hurt. And if this falls through, she can try something else.
"You don't think so? Hmm, I had this weird feeling that she was kind of into..." Maria screws up her face, thinking again about Ms. Ideal and her interests. "Well, that's okay. I'll just tell it to her straight, then?" She pauses. "Oh, I mean, after I have some club members! And a faculty volunteer? Do you think Watanabe-sensei would want to mentor us?"
Their homeroom teacher doesn't, as far as either of them know as his students anyway, ride a bike for fun.
Urban exploration would have gotten shot down so fast Maria's head would have spun. Maybe she should try just joining another sports team that allows girls?
...Or kung fu.
"Eh? Kung fu?" Maria blink-blinks at Lisa. "Eh?? You do kung fu?" Wait, hadn't there been a story to that effect? "That's so cool! You can be all," she mimes punching, one, two! "Like that! Like in a movie!" she gushes, apparently a little into this stretch of reality.
Lisa's not having a concert sometime soon? "Ahh, I see. I guess that makes sense? You probably have to do a lot of practice, and preparation, and all, right?"
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Lisa's sure not going to comment on those things right now!!
"Hm..." Into aliens, huh? ...Lisa frowns, but isn't sure why. Oh well! Instead, "Yeah! Sometimes honesty's the best policy!" It is not.
But Watanabe? "I dunno," Lisa says. "He's got a lot on his plate already. Did you see his wife come in the other day?"
But kung fu! "I do!!" Lisa answers brightly. One-two! "The movies are how I first started learning!" Lisa answers. "They're so great, aren't they? I love how graceful and cool they are. All those combinations..."
"Mm-hm," Lisa says. "And our manager has to book a venue and stuff, so there has to be an opening in the schedule and all..."
"So it's like that."
"...But I should probably be going in a few--I'd be glad to talk some more later, though! Lemme know how your club stuff goes, OK?"
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
It's weird. She's pretty sure that was the case. Like it was, somehow, definitely so. Like it wasn't just something she mixed up (after all, Kashihara is known to be into UFOs even now, but the truth is that he's not nearly as fascinated about them as he was, say, ten years ago).
How strange.
Did she see Watanabe's wife come in the other day? "Oh yeah! They're having another baby, right?" Trust Maria to be that blunt about it... "I hope we get to see the baby! ...Wait, won't we be in third year by then??" Maria's expression turns to one of utter devastation. Noooo she wanted to see the baby...
"Really? That's so cool! I like to watch American movies, but I've seen some kung fu movies, too! Oh, do you know if there's any that have more girls in them? Like, doing the fighting? I was thinking, I wanted to watch something like that, too..."
Most of the movies that Maria's seen star guys, and that's okay. But just now, she was thinking, 'what if something like that exists'?
What if it's possible to do those things that she's thought were impossible from the very start? Maybe it's a lot to expect just like that, but...
"Yeah, it seems pretty complicated," Maria remarks, frowning as she runs through some of the calculations in her head. If so many people are expected, and the venue costs so much to rent, what would the expected ticket price be? ...The scalper market is going to be intense, huh...
"Oh, sure, sure! Don't let me keep you, okay? Maybe, let's chat sometime again!" Maria tells her, waving her one hand dismissively. It's probably too soon to ask if they could hang out outside school, when Lisa has so much else going on, but...
"Oh yeah! Giga Macho's having a sale next weekend!" she adds, just as a parting favor. "I work there sometimes, you know? I figured, it might be a good time to stock up!"
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
"R-right!" Maria is really blunt! Lisa isn't going to call her out though. "Maybe we still can...? I mean, he'll be VP by then, right?"
But kung fu movies! "i know a few!" Lisa says excitedly. "...they're less common," she admits. "But the women who do this stuff are so awesome, too. I can lend you one sometime, if you want?"
But it is pretty complicated. The scalper market will be super intense. However..
Lisa smiles back. "Oh cool," Lisa says. "Maybe I'll run into you when I check it out!" she suggests, and gathers up her bag. "For now, see you around!"
