<Pose Tracker> Yua Ijuuin has posed.
OST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z77H_WVAzPE Higurashi - Flower of Hell (AmaLee)
November's been kind of a sad month -- because dance lessons were cancelled. Temporarily, at least, or so the rumour goes; apparently, Ijuuin-sensei adopted a cousin of hers, and so she took the month off to help her get situated.
Some of the students have tried to ask Yume Ooshiro -- Yua's younger sister, skin a lighter shade of brown and brown hair all pulled up into a side-pony, five foot three -- who's one of class 2-C's little firecrackers. "Don't ask me," she'd huffed away anyone's attempts to pry. "I don't even remember us having a weird cousin like that... I definitely never associated with anyone like that when I was younger. I'm normal!" And because she's so normal, she's even tried to get rid of her accent. She is, charitably speaking, audibly... making an effort.
There's no more need to pry now, though: because now December's here, Yua's back to work...
... and Tyrrha Ijuuin's joined class 1-D, too!!
Maybe that's why Yua's working at Seven Sisters on Monday, today: so that she can keep an eye on her just a little longer. Not that she can, really; her specialised subject doesn't see her doing much real teaching. But she's at least here all day today, and she can be seen stopping the teachers and asking them, in hushed tones, how Tyrrha's doing.
In hushed tones, her colleagues assure her that Tyrrha is... a little strange.
Lunch comes and goes, though -- and in the afternoon slot of the day, all three grades are able to converge in Yua's dance class, a thing designed to capture students at risk of school refusal by noticing dropped grades or absences and diverting them into pleasant weekly activities. Classes run once a week -- though rumour has it that Kasugayama gets visited twice, something which students here are pretty sure they can figure out. (It's because Kasugayama's got nothing but school ditchers, right? They're such no-hopers!)
Yume, one notes, stubbornly does not attend her big sister's classes. And that's her right: Yua's classes, notably, are opt-in. Joining the class is voluntary -- at least when it comes to signing up; once one is enrolled in the classes, one is expected to attend every week just like any other class. (Throughout November, Yua's students have just had study hall at the library...) Of course, attending them does help to balance some academic scales in a student's favour, especially if they're missing a lot of school... but Yua's always resisted pressures to force students to engage.
Right now, it's on the students to roll out the dance mats -- even the densest student, at this point, has realised that Ijuuin-sensei is pregnant, though it's only the sharp ones who've put together that she must have gotten pregnant before she got married!! -- and that's all going all well and good and normal...
... until a girl with teal hair tied up in a curly ponytail walks in from the storeroom with a mat draped over her head. It flops, as she walks. Those things are kind of heavier than they look... is she showing off?!
Wait... beneath that mat, her skin's dusky brown like Ijuuin-sensei's and Yume's. She's a little taller -- she looks like she might have four inches on Yua's diminuitive five-foot-nothing -- but not so much taller that it beggars belief. And her eyes are red like hers, too, though hers are brighter and a touch more strange...
... is that Tyrrha Ijuuin?!
<Pose Tracker> Misato Fushihara has posed.
Outwardly, Misato Fushihara appears to be doing fine. It's rare to see her without a smile, and she always seems bright and sociable. ...What she can't hide, however, are her grades - they've been slipping this year. She used to be a good student, but lately... her motivation has been lacking.
It's no wonder she got asked if she was interested in dance lessons. When she was initially asked she refused, at first, but... Well, she does enjoy physical activity, and it's nice to do something when she can't participate in sports like she used to, so it wasn't long before she changed her mind and they became an important part of her weekly routine. She was disappointed, accordingly, when they were canceled over November.
She was very likely one of the ones who asked Yume Ooshiro what was going on. She was curious about the circumstances, of course... and at the same time, she's the kind of person who can't ignore something potentially interesting.
Today, though, is the first dance class in a while. She joins the others as they converge, presently helping set up the dance mats. Ijuuin-sensei's condition certainly hadn't passed her by... and neither have the implications.
Well, she's good at keeping things to herself. She won't tell.
Right now, though, her attention is on the other Ijuuin in the room - at least, she thinks that's her... it's hard to tell under that mat. Another transfer student to Sevens... Things have really been shaping up interestingly, lately.
"You're... Ijuuin-chan, right?" Misato greets, approaching. "Do you need a hand with that?"
Tyrrha's taller than she is and is carrying that mat like it's nothing, but it couldn't hurt to try to establish herself as a Helpful Senpai early...
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Lisa likes to dance. She doesn't usually come to these classes, but since she hasn't gotten to get in her extra lessons with Ijuuin-sensei in a while... of course she'll come!
Lisa always finds it sad that Yume doesn't seem to like her older sister too much, but hasn't pressed her on it. But Lisa, being a second year, hasn't seen too much of Tyrrha yet. And here...
"Aiyah!" Lisa says, and you can imagine her surprised portrait here. "You've got that all on your own!?"
"Haime... you're strong."
Lisa is carrying one with another girl at the moment, instead of all on her own, but she grins at Tyrrha. "Nice."
A beat, when Misato inquires about help, "I'm Lisa Silverman! Ijuuin-chan, is it?"
<Pose Tracker> Yuuki Hoshizora has posed.
It hasn't been long at all since Yuuki Hoshizora transferred to Sevens. At first, she didn't belong to any clubs -- but after talking with a friend of her parents, they decided it was too antisocial of her to not join any. She picked the dance club on a whim. She hasn't met Yume Ooshiro beyond in passing; she doesn't know about Ijuuin-senpai beyond being a name.
But that means today is the first dance class she has attended.
So after she rolls her mat out, she dusts her hands off. The teal-haired girl steps forward, just a little behind Misato. Her head tilts; her dark green eyes are curious, as she looks to Tyrrha -- then to Yua, as if to verify that she must be related -- and then back to Tyrrha.
She hesitates for a second. She considers the appropriate response. Her eyes track to Lisa.
Then, she nods. "...Her strength is very notable!" she declares. "Um. Hello. I'm... Hoshizora. I mean. I'm Yuuki Hoshizora. I--erm. F-Fushihara-san, can you... also lift that mat?"
<Pose Tracker> Aoi Igarashi has posed.
Nominally, Aoi would probably be doing Kendo, but for a myriad of reasons she's not there right now. She couldn't quite get her heart in it, but she didn't want to go home either. Dance is something she normally wouldn't have the confidence to even try. The idea has some appeal to her, beneath her whole status as the weird creepy girl and a distinct lack of confidence in herself.
Texting her family, she informs them that something came up, but that she's at a club for school and she'll be home at the usual time either way.
Now she just has to force herself to look at the door. To will herself to open the door.
To find herself using the others arriving and entering to slip in behind them without saying anything. Kinda awkwardly really.
Now that she's there, in person and the door closing behind her. She's got a bit of a deer in headlights look. At least one person she thinks was being nice is here.
She mostly looks gloomy, more than anything, but she's trying!
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
Dance is athletics, right? And, if she can't do track for club anymore, and until she gets BIKING CLUB to happen (it might not ever happen) Maria can at least focus on staying in shape via her health and fitness clubs! And dancing is good for flexibility and balance, right? That's important! Especially when you're part-timing as a superhero.
And it's all the more so in November, when everything is tilting towards the chill of winter centimeter by centimeter, and especially when it's coming close to the time when it could be far more difficult to do the things she'd rather be doing, like jogging, or biking. Running around in the cold is just, ugh. No thanks, even for her. At least dance is indoors.
At least she'll still have the Metaverse. Does chasing after a Shadow count as cardio? --Oh, but there's not much time for that at all with her exams approaching in December...!
If she doesn't impress Akechi, then he might even frown at her. She can't live with that!!
And just here and now, she spots Tyrrha for the first time. "Eh?" Maria utters, tilting her head to one side like a curious owl.
The fact that their dance instructor's cousin is now attending the school is news that even Maria has managed to process. Tyrrha. Tyrrha. Maria has been rolling the name around in her head all day. Is that how Okinawans are named? She's never really thought about it. Apparently Ijuuin-san is Okinawan, and so is her cousin? Oh, and her sister's in the lower grade! So she's Okinawan too, Maria reasons gamely as she stares at Tyrrha.
"Wow! You're so strong! You're carrying that all by yourself!" she cheers out of the blue, and one might just get the impression of flowers spinning in the air all around her. Others might ask if she needs any help, but Maria just claps, absolutely delighted. Ah, girls are strong, too!
<Pose Tracker> Yua Ijuuin has posed.
Dance Club, one notes, meets after school rather than during the class time of dance lessons... but Yua is the teacher who's helping those students explore their passions even more. She's very helpful for signing off on letting them use rooms for practice or meetings! So helpful, in fact, that some of those students might wonder whether she even knows that teachers are supposed to say no sometimes...
(And that got even more obvious, when they had to ask someone else for permissions instead.)
Aoi, though, was encouraged to enrol in dance class a few months ago when Yua noticed her collapsing into herself; having read her academic file, alongside a few conversations with the girl, she's realised how much pressure she's under. And dance class, as it happens, is a much more relaxed way to engage in Health and Physical Education; Yua doesn't even demand anything from them for Finals.
All she asks is that they take care of their bodies while they're dancing...!
So, too, it is for Maria, invited to this Health and Physical Education class, for her own reasons. Perhaps it's because she joined Dance Club! Perhaps it's because of the sad fate in her files. And why was Yuuki approached, today, with an invitation to join? Perhaps Yua noticed a new girl in Dance Club. Or perhaps it's because... well, it certainly couldn't be because her parents have Personas. Yua Ijuuin has no Resonance at all!
But now -- Helpful Senpais! Tyrrha got told about those! Since she's posing as a first-year, everyone will get good feelings from helping her out! And they'll be more permissive since she's new to high school, too!
"Yup, yup!" Tyrrha says to Lisa and Maria's astonishment, as she lifts the dance mat off her head -- like, straight up, arms extended over her head, that's even more awkward and hard to pull off -- to reveal her face. "Don't worry," she adds, to Misato, "I'm fine!" -- but that might not be what they ought to worry about, because --
Dear god, like, she must be grinning, but she's got the world's worst case of resting bitch face. Even happy, her thuggish mien looks more like all those teeth -- those are, you're pretty sure, the right amount of teeth -- are just getting flashed before they crunch down. But despite looking pissed off, she doesn't sound pissed off; she sounds perfectly chill and cheerful, just like one might expect from an Okinawan girl.
(Yume, on the other hand, deliberately tries to distance herself from it; if anything, she's more wound-up about timeliness and fitting in. She doesn't realise that stressing out about it so much distances herself, too...)
"Yeah!" Tyrrha's awful grin widens, as she lays down her mat, and turns to clap for Misato. "Lift it! Lift it!"
The door closes behind Aoi, though -- as Yua steps in, with her little portable stereo. She giggles, as she looks over the girls trying to arrange things in the gym. "Let's not get too rowdy," she reminds them, warmly, before she hands that stereo to Aoi. "Igarashi-kun," she asks, smiling to her, "can you set our music up for us?" There's some nice, energetic dance music on the CD in there; and Yua has made a habit of asking Aoi to set their music up, noting the way she always feels so put on the spot.
It gives her a chance to get engaged without asking her to walk into the middle of things, like Yua's about to.
"I see we have some new faces," Yua smiles, to them. "And you've noticed one, too... this is my new daughter, Tyrrha Ijuuin. I only work here one day a week, so I hope you'll look out for her from now on!" Her painted nails lift, to veil her red lips, as she giggles. She's still wearing a black leotard, just as she's always done -- but it's long-sleeved, now, and black tights cover her legs beneath her black skirt, too. It must be because it's getting colder!
"Thank you for bearing with us while we dealt with such a sudden re-arrangement of our lives," Yua adds, and even adds in a little bow for her loyal students. "I'm going to remind you all that this isn't a class which can be scored with an exam... so please use this time to unwind a little, since I know you have your finals soon approaching!"
"Huh? Final?" Tyrrha's red eyes widen. "But I just got here!"
Oh no...
"But we've had another student join Sevens just recently, haven't we?" Yua asks, turning to -- Yuuki! "Would you like to introduce yourself for us, Hoshizora-kun?"
<Pose Tracker> Misato Fushihara has posed.
Observations are made on Tyrrha's strength. Misato has to agree. They're hard enough to carry normally, but just draping one over your head like that? That's something else.
...And also potentially dangerous, which only gets worse when she lifts it up further. Misato half-expects it to topple her over from the imbalance, but she manages it just fine - and assures at such.
...That expression of hers, though - briefly, Misato wonders if she offended her by asking... but she doesn't sound upset. On the other hand, the way she sets the mat down and encourages her to lift it... Is that her way of turning it around on her, as Yuuki asks if she can lift it too?
"Ah... Everything's more efficient with teamwork, you know~?" Misato offers politely - but she's save from having to put her money where her mouth is when Yua arrives.
"Welcome back, Ijuuin-sensei!" Misato greets, and then looks toward Tyrrha. "And welcome to Sevens, Ijuuin-chan!"
She pauses. The others have introduced themselves...
"Oh - I'm Misato Fushihara. It's nice to meet you!" She introduces herself, then looks toward Yuuki as Yua calls out to her. Misato sends her an encouraging smile!
She looks toward Tyrrha at the subject of Finals. It's surprising that she's so... surprised. Or is she just referring to the proximity to the end of the semester...?
"How did they handle them at your old school?" Misato asks, curious.
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Very notable indeed. "Oh, hey," Lisa says when Aoi shows up. "Nice to see you."
Then she grins at Tyrrha. "Nice," she says. "Though..."
Should a girl be able to lift that much??? ....Nah, it's fine. Girls can lift too! Maria seems happy about it anyway!
Lisa is OK with resting bitch face, as it happens. She looks a little nervous for a second at those teeth, but quickly understand that Tyrrha seems cheerful enough. And she smiles at Yua. "It's great to see you again, sensei."
Then she looks at Tyrrha. "And nice to meet you! We'll take care of you."
Pause. Finals...
"Well, yeah," Lisa says. "The end of the semester's coming up." She sighs--you can practically see the little cloud. "I'm already so busy..."
<Pose Tracker> Yuuki Hoshizora has posed.
"W-Wait, I didn't mean for Fushihara-san to have to lift it alone--" Yuuki starts to protest, her expression starting to change to one of panic. She just joined the Club! She just started with these classes today! And--and it's Misato Fushihara, who is her first friend here, and she wants to make a good impression. "I--"
The door closes behind Aoi. Yua enters and she yelps. She squeaks, a little. She does a quick turn, and does a quick bow to her new teacher.
"Ijuuin-sensei! I, um, thank you for taking me on." Then, she turns to the others. She smiles -- it's nervous -- and she looks at the others. She hesitates for a moment, but when Misato smiles at her...
She gets just a little more courage. She looks at Lisa, then Tyrrha, then Maria, and finally Aoi. "I'm Yuuki Hoshizora. I'm a transfer from Choju. I hope we'll... ah... we'll all get along well."
<Pose Tracker> Aoi Igarashi has posed.
Aoi's deer in a headlights look goes away when she's addressed. "Y-yeees!" she calls out mostly on reflex as much as anything as she now holds the CD plyer. She glances down at it, fiddling with it long enough to poke the ply button. At least she didn't fumble it. Instead she's just holding it just long enough to feel a bit awkward before she very carefully and quietly puts it back where it had been before. Though she stands by next to it as she does so.
Misato greets her, "Welcome back and welcome." Aoi follows up politely. In that voice that says she's earnest, but also on auto pilot.
Lisa does earn the first actual moment of almost relaxation from Aoi. Offering her a quick smile, "hi!" before turning her head that way to the other side towards the radio. Where she pretends to decide if she needs to adjust things. She's closer than she had been at least.
"I could have helped." She pipes up, well too late. She ahd completely missed the student hefting things along. The otehrs had introduced themselves though. "I'm Aoi Igarashi-" with a polite enough bow. That's easy to do on auto pilot after all.
She takes a breath, then steps forward to help only to fully realize she's far too late. Looking embarrassed.
That does give her time to note there are a decent number of exchange students. Should she try to stop being such a wall flower? She kinda is here isn't she?
She even tries a smile! Looking to the others. Even if she still looks nervous. It's a light smile, but it's baby steps right?
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
It's possible that Dance Club is one of the last sports-affiliated clubs at Sevens that will take Maria at this point. Perhaps someday she'll be lucky, and somehow she will be able to make Biking Club be a thing. She just has to convince enough people to join on. And for a teacher to be a sponser. And that this would be an enhancement for the after-school groups.
And so on, and so on.
But there's Dance Class also, and if it's something that Maria can use to stay indoors (and warm!) in the winter, then so much the merrier. She might have been a track star back before the accident (well, before she quit, before the accident) but that doesn't mean she enjoys a run at frigid temperatures in the middle of winter. Brrr.
Besides, she'd been invited to the class! Certainly for no sinister or ill-omened reasons.
Certainly. Why, the teacher has no Resonance at all!
...Not that Maria is very good at doing much with that.
Maria pauses mid-clap after Tyrrha flashes a grin at her before resuming something resembling 'resting bitch-face'. She regards Tyrrha and her face for a long moment. Her head swivels towards Yua, then back at Tyrrha.
"I guess you take after your dad, huh?" she remarks, because she has no filter. "That's great! I'm your sempai, by the way. Hehe, it's kind of neat! I've always wanted to be a sempai to someone else!" Sparkle, sparkle.
Maria pauses after that.
"Oh, wait, I forgot! I'm Maria Sakurai! 2-C, like Lisa-chan here!" Sparkle, sparkle~
AND ON THAT NOTE, AT YUA'S INTRODUCTION FOR YUUKI
"Hi, Hoshizora-san! We're in the same class!"
Yuuki already knows this.
<Pose Tracker> Yua Ijuuin has posed.
Tyrrha, strangely, seems perfectly balanced despite showing off with those cumbersome mats. "Oh, yeah! Teamwork! Let's do it together!" She volunteers, for Misato, who will get to realise as they pull out another mat together...
... that it's really easy to manage her side. Damn. She must be strong.
When Misato asks how things are in Tyrrha's school, though, she laughs, rubbing at the back of her head. "Ahaha... I'm from a small island, so the schoolhouse only took people up to middle school, y'know? And, uhhh... I was gonna get on the ferry to go to high school, but it would've been, like... three hours? Sooo... I just started workin' with my folks! But then there was the accident, and all, sooo..."
Yua breathes a quiet -- and hopefully unnoticed -- sigh of relief as Tyrrha sticks to her cover story. "Things are different in the city," she steps in to explain. "Tykko's village was teaching her these things back home, but of course that's not something we can do here in Sumaru. I'm sure she'll catch up in no time, though...!"
That explains that, though.
Tyrrha's weird because she was homeschooled.
"Heh heh... guess so," Tyrrha adds, grinning to Maria with all those teeth of hers. "I learned all about senpais from this Shujin girl, Fuyuki-senpai! She told me all about city life! So as long as I do what you do, I'll be okay, right?" Oh no. Oh NO.
"You must be extra-busy, too," Yua says, sympathetically, to Lisa, "what with the MUSES... don't worry, Studio Chura is open again as of this week, too!" A beat of a pause, as she explains, for Yuuki: "That's my dance studio, in Aoba... I run tutoring after school for people who've got a real passion. No matter what school I'm teaching at, you can find me at Studio Chura once the last bell's rung!"
She gestures, to Yuuki, out to the class. "It's all right... performing is a little scary, right? But we've got a whole spread of students here, whether we're working on our confidence or bold as brass!" She knows how nervous Aoi is, too; of course, that's also why she doesn't call her out directly, here. "These classes are totally beginner friendly! Sometimes it's hard to focus on school when all the stuff they're teaching you feels like it matters to some old man with a briefcase a whole world away, right? And even in P.E., it can be really embarrassing if it's hard to do something. That's why I wanted to make a space like this... we're going to learn some really cool, practical things! You get a good grade in dance class by finding the way you like to express yourself!"
She turns to Aoi, smiling to her. "That's a great pick," she says, of the music track she picked. (Even if it was just hitting 'play'!) The energetic thump-thump-thump of the music is entirely meant to get them excited...
Though, first up, Yua leads them in stretching! And she tells them, "Warm-ups are a vital part of any dancing routine! I'll be very cross if I hear you've tried doing a set without them! Do you feel how your knee stops you from going too far back as we move? That's because all the joints in our body have different ways to move! Your knee can bend and extend out, like this! Try it...!"
And so, she teaches them a few cool moves, more drawn from popular music videos than any particular discipline...
... and leads them on some more stretches, once they're done.
"Phew... even though that was a workout, it was a lot easier when we're having fun, right?" Yua asks, with a bright smile. "I think that's the most important lesson for you guys right now... finding the things you like!"
She claps her hands, turning to Maria. "For instance... I heard a few things earlier today about how you have ambitions to start a club of your own, Sakurai-san. Class was a little short today, since I wanted to ease us back in slowly... so I'd really like to hear about your ambitions!"
She turns to the others, still smiling. "And that goes for everyone else, too! What clubs do you love most here at Sevens? Or is there a club you'd like to start which doesn't exist? I'd love to hear from you most of all, Igarashi-kun! I've heard you have some really interesting club activities!"
Tyrrha thinks, for a moment. "Is there a club for snacks?"
Yua giggles, as she advises her: "You're thinking of Cooking Club, Tykko!"
<Pose Tracker> Maria Sakurai has posed.
"Oh, wow..." Maria says at Tyrrha's story, all wide-eyed. "I know people live on islands down there, but... you'd take a boat to school? That's so cool!" Maria, once again, misses the point here. Still, if Tyrrha was working because three hours is a long way to go, well-- that means she has a ways to go to catch up to everyone else in school, right?
Maria nods. "Uh huh! Yeah! Don't worry! You can study with me, Tyrrha-chan!" she says, waving towards herself.
Study with Maria. Who might well have the worst grades in the class. Maria, who would be failing except for her math scores boosting her grade.
That Maria.
Maybe someone else should step in before this becomes a spiral of doom for poor Tyrrha.
Class, though, is in session.
"Yes!" Maria agrees, proceeding to warm up herself. "If you don't warm up properly, your muscles get angry!" She should know, she used to do track.
Cool-down stretches, as the teacher shows, are also important.
"It was a good workout, sensei!" she chirps, once all is done. There's nothing like breaking a sweat to get your mind off things of late, like exams.
Or the Joker Curse.
Then Yua puts her on the spot. "Eh? Oh!" Maria says, waving towards herself with both hands. "Yes!" She pivots, turning towards the others in the class. "I'm interested in starting a biking club! It's going to be too cold to do much of that in a few months, but I'm hoping, if I can get people who want to do it, that maybe we could have one? Biking is pretty good exercise, you know? And being outside is good for the lungs? I heard someone say that on TV once so it's probably true?" she says, framing several statements as questions despire them not being as such at all. "So, um! If you're interested, let me know!" she says, bowing.
"I'd appreciate your support very much!"
She pops back up like a drinking bird again soon enough, a grin that's only slightly nervous but mostly hopeful-excited plastered on her face.
<Pose Tracker> Misato Fushihara has posed.
Fortunately, Tyrrha is willing to accept the Power of Teamwork.
"Okay!" Misato agrees as she gets the other side as Tyrrha goes to fetch another mat. But... she ends up not having to do much on her end at all.
That's the real superpower of teamwork...
Tyrrha explains how things went - she's from a small island, so the schoolhouse only went up to middleschool, and she worked with her parents afterward, until -
The accident.
Misato, who seems to practically have a permanent smile plastered onto her face, frowns quietly.
"...Ah. Sorry, Ijuuin-chan, I didn't mean to pry..." She apologises. She seems subdued for a moment after - until she forces herself to look elsewhere to put her face back on.
She spots Aoi, and offers an encouraging smile too. Misato can tell she's trying hard even though she's nervous. She gets it - sometimes it's an effort.
...A lot of effort.
Misato looks toward Lisa as she sighs.
"They're running you ragged, huh, Silverman-san...?" She offers sympathetically, before looking toward Yuuki. With her encouragement, she introduces herself to the room. Misato beams.
"I think you'll make a lot of friends very quickly, Hoshizora-san! You too, Ijuuin-chan." Misato encourages.
...And then Maria's comment takes her by surprise and she has to turn her head to mask a snort of laughter. The way she says it with complete innocence...
She listens, then, as Yua speaks, offering further encouragement. A space to learn cool, practical things...
...What way does she like to express herself? She feels like she might've known once, but lately...
Regardless, she participates. Her movements are pretty good, she seems pretty talented - but it tends to take her longer to recover after the more intensive ones, and some of them cause some strain... as much as she tries to hide it. The stretches help.
"Yes, Ijuuin-sensei!" Misato agrees. At least on the surface, anyway. The things she likes...
She listens as Yua explains. Clubs...
"Mm... None of them have really caught my yet..." Misato admits with a sheepish laugh. Maria, though, has one to report! She seems pretty eager about it, too... A biking club, hm...? Misato considers that for a moment.
"...What does a biking club do?" She asks, curious.
<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.
Aoi is doing fine, Lisa thinks. She smiles encouragingly at her!
But Yuuki does want to make a good impression, doesn't she? Lisa knows she just transferred into their class.... She smiles back. Looks like she's already made a friend, too. "I'm sure we will!" Get along well.
The cover story makes sense. "Wow," Lisa says. "...Well, I guess it's not weird; I'm kinda working in high school too..." With the idol stuff. Misato shows sympathy, and Lisa smiles at her. "it's OK!" she's quick to reassure. "It's worth it!"
Kanae is helping! Yaaaay!
Lisa looks back at Yua, "Are you sure it's OK to be open?" Lisa asks, and glances down and then up again. "Well, I'm not complaining! It'll be great to get back to it."
Thump thump! Stretch!
"That was fun!" Lisa answers, when they go through the moves; she ends up helping demonstrate, as it happens, as one of Yua's MORE ADVANCED STUDENTS.
She did know about this ambition, though. She smiles when Maria explains. "I bet it's true!" she says.
SHe already said she doesn't really have time for a club, but...
"Bicycles are great!" Lisa encourages when Misato asks. "You can ride around all over, go places..."
<Pose Tracker> Yuuki Hoshizora has posed.
"H-Hi, Sakurai-san. I, um. I remember," Yuuki says to Maria with a slightly wide-eyed look and a smile. The smile flickers like a light bulb that is about to go out.
She does glance at Tyrrha -- there's a blink, and then realization. She had been home schooled. That would makes sense.
She nods, then, at Yua. Then she smiles. "R-Right," she says. "I, um, I'll do my best."
She follows through the stretches and warm-ups -- and for all of her nervousness, she is quite athletic. She has done fencing, after all; she seems well-familiar with stretches. The dancing, though, is a little more awkward. She doesn't have the most innate music sense -- she might have dexterity and grace, but keeping in time with the music proves hard.
She wipes her brow, and then she hesitates for a second at the questions. A club she would like...
Yuuki's eyes glance down at the ground. She knows what she would like.
But she has to keep focused on what's important. Standing next to Misato, her fingers ball tightly into a fist.
She glances sideways at Misato -- and blinks. She catches the frown. But she latches onto her question to Maria. There is a glance at Lisa, too. "I'm curious, too, Sakurai-san."
<Pose Tracker> Aoi Igarashi has posed.
Aoi bobs her head quickly, offering a weak smile to Yua's encouragement. She really hadn't picked much, but it is nice getting some reassurances one way or the other!
The story from Tyrrha is given dutiful attention, though she's far too caught up to offer might insight. She does offer what she hopes is an encouraging look though! (It might be. It might also be blatantly nervous. Oh well.)
The smile from Misato is returned, still weak, but she is finding herself almost feeling like she does in her own comfort places here at the school. That's quicker than usual. There are a few errant thoughts in her mind, suggesting uncomfortable truths. A hand goes up though, greeting her. "Hope.. it's fine?" She glances to the music.
Same for Lisa, the smile returned. By the end of this she might not be so skittish. In this room. At this time! "I never did get to ride a lot after learning." She admits. "I ended up walking more often." Mostly because the idea of trying to keep her kit balanced on a bike was a bit intimidating really.
There's a snort at the idea of a club for snacks. "Manga? Or cooking. Cooking's more likely." She decides. Trying to contribute even!
Stepping away from the player, she shakes herself out. Working her shoulders, then legs a bit. Mostly familiar stretches for herself. Something familiar to get comfortable with. Then she follows along dutifully with the rest fo the class. She's got quite good balance and is quite flexible! Though this probably isn't a surprise for someone doing any form of martial arts. She's decently coordinated even though it's clear she's struggling to keep up with the difference in movement! She's putting her heart into it though, for what it's worth. Some of the skills transfer, some don't after all.
She does quickly nod at the suggestion to find what they enjoy. She gets it, she wants to embrace it, but some sense of duty to her family gnaws at the back of her head. It leads to a briefly conflicted look on her face.
"It's very... thorough." She adds, agreeing with Maria.
Her hand goes up, "I'm a member of Kendo." her voice sounds only a little more confident than usually sounds! "It's.. a lot of fun." That also sounds more confident than not.
Is there a different club she'd like? Probably. She starts to open her mouth, then snaps it shut and grimaces. She's getting along and it's not going poorly, she won't risk it.
