<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Yongenjaya! It's four instead of three. It's a largely peaceful day, and Reiko Shimizu can't be stopped! There's children running to school with great mirth, trying to not trip up on one another, a slightly older student who's late with a piece of toast in her mouth, as if inviting destiny around the corner... several elderly residents, out on their morning stroll, stop to greet her and tell her she's doing a great job.

Aahhhh!! This kind of day is truly what makes getting up to do her job worthwhile, right? There's going to be nothing like a suspicious pair of legs sticking out of the nearby river overlooking the koban slowly floating down...

    ...

    ...

    ...

Yeah, that sure is a suspicious pair of legs, dressed in black dress pants, sticking out of the river...

    ...

    ...

It's rotating in place for a moment, making a noise that's best described as a combo of 'gargling and drowning'.

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

Today is the sort of day that Reiko Shimizu tells herself that she lives for. And it feels good to be thanked by so many people -- a student who almost trips, until she catches him; an older couple who thank her; a salaryman who dropped his brief case, but she hands it back.

And she is walking back towards her koban. It is by the small river that runs through this district, a little one room brick building with open windows and an always-open door. She starts towards it...

...until she glances out into the river. There, she sees a duck swim by -- ah, she loves watching the ducks -- and then she spots something else.

Two legs, sticking out of the river.

And she hears something else. Gargling and drowning. Her green eyes widen behind her glasses -- then she yelps and she darts forward.

Reiko steps onto the little grass lining the riverside, and reaches out over it. She grabs one of those ankles, and then cries out: "Hold on, please! I'll pull you!"

Reiko grits her teeth -- and then she tugs!

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Reiko rushes to action! There's someone drowning! A heroic policewoman such as her is on the case! With a strong grip, she grabs hold onto the mysterious Thing's ankle, and in one tug--

Whoosh!! A monochrome blur splashes out of the water, resplendent droplets of river specks gleaming against the sun. She has fished out a 175cm Mysterious Thing, garbed in a white dress-shirt and black tie to go with those dress pants, and a long black suit jacket slung over its shoulders...

... and the person also is covered in bandages -- half over their face and over one eye, with a big square of gauze over their cheek, and extensive bandaging over her neck and lower arms. How suspicious!

The Thing lays there, seemingly unconscious... until they flutter into several blinks and--

Then it coughs out a small pile of coins from its mouth.

    sus...???? so sus!!!!

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

There is a second where Reiko is very proud of herself. Today, for a day as a police officer goes, is a good day. She helped a child; she greeted the elderly; she rescued someone drowning in a river. But then she sees who she rescued.

At first, she feels a flash of concern. The bandages seem to cover some terrible past injury. She reaches a hand out, taking their shoulder. She gives a gentle squeeze. "Are you awake? Do I--"

They cough out several coins. Reiko's hand is still on their shoulder. Her eyes look down at one of the coins, landed between her knees. Then she looks back at this person.

"Please tell me you weren't trying to get coins thrown in the river as wishes," she says. One eyebrow twitches. "Please."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

The person, disoriented for a moment, stares -- before spotting a sign that identifies her as being in Yongenjaya. "Tch," she grunts in disappointment. 'Tch?!' Is that the sort of reaction a person should have to being saved from drowning?!

"Excuse me, miss!" the person protests. "I wouldn't be so churlish as to steal coins from the bottom of the river! I brought my own! But you see--"

They rise to full height with remarkable ease, swanning around with a half-turn. For a moment, she almost looks... handsome, glistening against the reflection of the sun.

Then she has to ruin it by speaking.

"You interrupted my Magic River Teleportation! I was supposed to go faaar further down, as far down as Meguro, at least! How could you! Now I have to pay the fare again!"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

Reiko had been kneeling down. When this person rises up, that prompts Reiko to fall over backwards -- she lands on her rear. Her glasses and her brown hair bounce a little, when she hits the ground. Her police officer's cap is now askew.

Her green eyes look at this strange new person. She blinks, staring for a second. They do look handsome, but--

But then words come out of their mouth.

Reiko sihs, her eyes down on the ground for a moment. Then, she pushes herself up -- and puts her most helpful smile on her face. "Okay," she says. "I can see you've had a few drinks. Now, how about... we go to the koban and you have a cup of coffee to sober up?"

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

This person looks flabbergasted, putting their hands to their waist and sassily leaning forward. "Drinks? You think me a sad statistic, drunk at ten in the morning?? If you breathalyse me, you'll see that I don't even have a trace of alcohol in me!"

This is an abject lie, because she's currently cuckolding Dettol for pure isopropyl alcohol.

The person briskly swats water down their jacket, and then relaxes into that standing pose as they reach for Reiko to help pull her up. "A coffee, however, would be more than perfectly fine. How about I treat you, miss?"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"You were upside down in the river while sober," Reiko says, her tone flat. Then she sighs, and adjusts her glasses. She stands up and looks at them -- as they lean over her. That prompts her to get flustered.

She accepts the hand up. She hops to her feet, then she promptly begins to dust herself off -- but that motion and her words sputter at the offer.

"I-I'm on the clock," she says. "I was suggesting the koban because--" No, that came out wrong. "E-Excuse me!"

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

    Oh?

Oooh. Hmm. The way this woman gets flustered is kinda cute. How interesting. They shouldn't tease her so much. "Ah. Of course. I shouldn't keep you from your task, officer--"

    "HEY!"

Myunghon blinks twice -- and then there's an older, stocky police officer at the top of the steps leading down to the riverbank where they are. Ah.

Reiko recognises this person. This is Koichi Ishiba, a 50-something year old member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. He's deeply scruffy, having an old duster that makes him look like a pastiche of a drama detective, and stomps down to march at Myunghon and then yank her by the ear--

"Yeo! You're causing trouble again, aren't you? It's to the slammer with you again!"

Myunghon looks like they're incredibly used to dealing with this person, looking not at all concerned.

He turns to Reiko. "Officer Shimizu! I'm sorry you had to deal with this zainichi miscreant." The way he says that word, 'Zainichi', has some real contempt behind it. It refers to 'Zainichi Koreans'. "I'll handle this good for nothing!"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

Reiko looks at the older, stockier police officer on his way. She knows Ishiba; she straightens her back out as she looks at him, and frowns when he grabs Myunghon by her ear. She frowns a little more when he says 'Zainichi' like a curse.

"Office Ishiba," she says. She smiles, straightening out a little. "It's fine, sir. She wasn't causing me any trouble."

There is a glance at Myunghon -- a subtle urging them to stay quiet -- and then she looks back at Ishiba.

"She fell into the river, and I helped her get out," Reiko says. "I'm going to escort her back to her home. I'll fill you in after our patrols, all right, Officer Ishiba?"

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Ishiba is so used to this playbook that he's already half with his handcuffs up and grabbing Myunghon's wrist when Reiko speaks up. He blinks a few times, unused to someone having something ready to deter him. He swallows the annoyance clearly welling up inside of him.

"... very well. But you'd best watch yourself, officer. This one's got a real silver tongue. Can't trust a damn word any of 'em say!" He's clearly crossed over from just talking about an individual to a whole demographic.

"You'd best be on your best behaviour! I told you I'd lock you and toss away the key if I find you loitering in suspicious places again, Yeo!" Ishiba feels the need to get one last yell in, before grumpily heading off on his own.

Myunghon lets out a rich chuckle after he's out of earshot, and looks to Reiko. "That was some confident, quick thinking, officer Shimizu. It doesn't sound like it's your first time dealing with hardballs like him."

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"I understand, Officer Ishiba," Reiko says. "I'll be sure to watch myself."

She watches him leave -- and it's not until he is out of earshot that she sighs, exhaling. She looks at Myunghon, then, and hesitates for a second. Then, she smiles just a little bit. If she sounds a touch awkward, Reiko doesn't want to bash a fellow officer.

But...

"I've worked with him a few times," Reiko says. She looks at Myunghon for a second. Then, she looks embarrassed, and glances away. "I'm... sorry about what he said. That wasn't very kind."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"I'm used to it," Myunghon says, a little dully -- it's also clear this isn't their first rodeo with Officer Ishiba. "He knows he can only pin me with being a public nuisance, and then I'm out in eight hours or less," Myunghon chuckles. "I think he's still sore about me getting Jeon-soo out when he *really* wanted to lock him away."

Myunghon briskly brushes a hand through their hair -- for a moment, there's hints of damage on their face where the bandage doesn't quite cover. "I'm still happy to have coffee at the koban, though. I can even pretend to be drunk to give you an excuse, Officer Shimizu?"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Ah... yes, I understand," Reiko says. She looks at Myunghon for a moment; she considers it for a moment, and doesn't like how she can't find any answers or explanation for this. She can't really make that sort of societal injustice better somehow.

"W-Well..." She hesitates, as she spots the bandage -- and what it doesn't cover. But, that is really none of her business. She pauses at the offer. She should say no.

And the excuse she makes is that it would be awkward to part ways, then have Myunghon found by Ishiba a little later.

"I did offer," Reiko says, with a smile. She pushes her glasses back up her nose. Then, she extends a hand out towards Myunghon. "I'm Reiko Shimizu. I'm a detective with the MPD."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

If it were just them, Myunghon wouldn't care a single whit. They understand how to worm around the law close enough that they're like teflon. But other people that Myunghon look after aren't as slimy -- and they're getting bullied just the same.

"Reiko Shimizu..." Myunghon thinks of Shinobu for a moment, but, well, Shimizu is not an uncommon surname. It'd be weirder to immediately assume they're related, than not, really. "I'm Myunghon Yeo, owner of the Cardboard Dragon, down in Sumaru City."

... they're a pretty darn far stretch away from their store, huh?

Myunghon accepts the hand gently -- then a flash of amusement crosses their eye as they gently lift it to gallantly place a soft kiss on the back of her hand, as if they were a knight. "The pleasure is all mine, I assure you."

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Cardboard Dragon... I think I've heard of--erk."

Reiko's cheeks flush red when Myunghon kisses her hand. She looks at them, flustered, and pulls her hand back -- a little slowly -- and then tucks it at her side, but with nothing to do. "U-um--right! A pleasure, Yeo-san. Right."

She turns, coughs, and tugs at her collar with that same hand. She starts walking, towards the stairs leading up to the street level. "So..." She takes a breath, calmng down. "...What brings you to Yongen-Jaya? You're a way's from home."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

The two start walking, and even though Myunghon is still sopping wet, they seem remarkably at ease about it. "I told you -- Magic River Teleportation!" That kind of annoying, sing-songy voice is back in their voice. "Have you heard about it? It's when you put some coins in your mouth as an offering to the river-people who keep the public transportation going, and then jump in and close your eyes and..."

Jazz-hands. "Tada! A few moments later, you'll have become magically spirited away to wherever it is you want to go! I know sakura season is over, but Meguro's still quite pretty, you know."

They can't really share the truth that is that an obnoxiously high amount of times, Mementos unceremoniously dumps them into the river. Why???

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Oh," Reiko groans. "We're still doing this about the river teleportation." She looks sideways at Myunghon -- and then she frowns for a moment, as she listens. But, the way that Myunghon does jazz hands...

...well, that makes a laugh bubble up. She looks away, after that, though, a little embarrassed.

"I can't imagine that working," she says. "It's not scientifically possible, you know." She leads the way up the stairs, and turns as she gets up to the top.

"You should be careful," she says. "Especially with coins in your mouth. That's a choking risk, which heightens the chances of drowning, and it could be harder to dislodge a coin from your throat!"

Reiko nods, knowingly. "You have to be careful, Yeo-san."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"But sometimes, don't you feel as if there are things that science can't explain?" Myunghon is quietly fishing, here. In a way, Magic River Teleportation is one of the tests she's devised to see if someone's had exposure to the supernatural or not.

"Also, we as a society have done horrible things to the river-people. So I'm just paying my share forward," she adds. This, on the other hand, is complete bull doohickey. At least, most times -- rumours do mean that they sometime can run into the Kappa in Sumaru City's rivers. Fighting in water sucks. They're a go-getter, not a getter-robo-go.

"Trueee," Myunghon does acknowledge about coins. "There's an art to it, you know. You have to train your esophagus and master the muscle as if it were as easy as controlling your fingers!"

That's the part they're fixated on??

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Well... yes, at least--at least that science can't explain yet." Reiko is something of a skeptic. (To be fair, she hasn't had firsthand encounters witht he supernatural.) She considers for a moment, before adding: "But... I do like the idea of it, at least."

She could see that working in Drake Adventure.

She does raise an eyebrow at the mention of the river-people. But then she makes a face at the mention of training an esophagus. "Or -- and please, consider this -- we could not put coins in our mouths."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"I'm sorry, Shimizu-san, that's one point I won't budge on!" Myunghon exclaims, somehow looking imperious like a university professor who's not about to brook dissent for a few seconds. "I'm a coin-mouther 'til the end!"

... this is barely even a hill to die on. There are molehills more grand and with more purpose than this.

There is a little snicker afterwards, however, as they say, "So, detective, huh? Congratulations on the promotion. How long has it been?"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Why," Reiko says rather than asks.

She looks over her shoulder at Myunghon, and she smiles. There is a little pride in her smile -- but maybe not quite as much as one might expect. "Thanks," she says. "I made junior detective early this year. I'm still pretty new."

To wit: she still helps out at the koban. And, to say nothing of Reiko often being an errand girl for her boss.

"My parents are very proud of me," she says. "It's quite the accomplishment!"

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Myunghon is content to let the topic of coin-mouthing go, though they have an inkling they'll come back to this time and time again, like this is an actual topic of intellectual debate that actually merits arguing. That Reiko is still looking out after a koban is the reason they asked if it was a recent promotion-- soon, Reiko's gonna be assigned to a case and have a bit more autonomy, not unlike that Sergeant Suou...

    Hmm.

What is it like to have parents that are proud of you? No, actually, Myunghon knows that -- but what is it like to have parents that are proud of you for accomplishments that don't destroy the world, in some understatedly disgusting, and yet perfectly legal manner?

"Just this year, even," Myunghon chuckles. "I imagine you can't wait to get assigned to a senpai and start really cracking down on a case?" A pause. "Though, I imagine you might miss the friendly faces that greet you here and there, as they cross that little koban too."

    They saw, huh?

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Well... I've been assigned to a senpai. He even recommended me for promotion!" Reiko says. "I've been helping him with his cases, in fact. But... I'm sure I'll get some of my own soon."

She glances at Myunghon. She blinks at the observation. Then, she nods. "I'll miss this place," she admits. "And the community here is really nice. But..."

There is her career to consider.

Speaking of the koban, she reaches it -- and opens the door up for Myunghon. There is a small table inside, and a counter with a coffee maker on it. "You noticed, earlier? The people here, that is."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"Yeah, I did," Myunghon admits. "A little slice of homey atmosphere, here in the bustling city that goes by too fast for anyone." So Reiko's already been assigned to a senpai, huh? Myunghon wonders what kinds of cases she has to deal with already. Hopefully not anything as nasty as the Joker Killer...

Myunghon gracefully steps in and looks around. They've been to many koban before, of course, but this one feels... slightly more welcoming, somehow.

"What made you decide to take up being a police officer, Shimizu-san?"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Mm-hm. It's very friendly. I've actually got an apartment here--um, it's not a very big one. But I like it here," Reiko says. She looks around the koban, sighs fondly, and then goes over to the coffee maker. She presses the 'on' button. It does nothing.

Reiko blinks. Briefly rattled, she takes a second to answer the question. "Oh--" She hesitates. "--I just wanted to help people. It seemed like a good way to do that."

There must be more to it.

Reiko looks at the coffee maker -- then she gives it a good smack. Then, when she presses the 'on' button, it rattles, and the on light comes on. She puts a mug under it. "Coming right up."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Ah. Myunghon doesn't miss that little lapse. A tender question, a touchy subject. Not altogether unsurprising -- some people sign up to be part of the force because of trauma. They decide to let her go and glosses over the topic, then. "There aren't a lot of people who can afford a truly large place. Certainly more than you and I are making," they chuckle.

Myunghon flashes back to the family apartment -- one of several they've gone through. They're always large, penthouse-style affairs. They're lavish and well appointed.

    They're cold and unlived-in.

"I don't frequently stop by this neighbourhood, but perhaps I should do so more often," Myunghon admits, placing their elbows to the table and lacing their hands together to lean their chin on. "I've certainly one really pretty reason to do so, now!"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

Reiko realizes Myunghon dropped it -- and that's something she is grateful for. She looks at her and then smiles a little. "It's true. I... guess there isn't a lot of yen in--"

She wrinkles her nose. She takes a second to remember what the Cardboard Dragon sells. "...games and books?"

She walks over -- and then she puts the cup of coffee on the table. She slides it over to Myunghon, and then she gets complimented. Reiko sputters again, eyes darting to the side. "H-Honestly! You--um--" She looks back at Myunghon. "...T-Teasing isn't very nice!"

She turns, red-faced, and puts her cup in the coffee maker. When she presses the 'on' button, this time, it turns on right away.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"I'm honestly really surprised you've heard of a nothing book-and-card store more than an hour south of here," Myunghon lets out a delicate little laugh to Reiko. "Half the people who come in say that it doesn't show up correctly on online searches. Do you like games, Shimizu-san?"

Myunghon accepts the cup of coffee and draws on its aroma. Hmmmm. It's very mundane, but that's what makes it very special. The kind of coffee that exists on the budget of a small koban in Tokyo, the MPD's budget stretched as it is already. They sip.

Reiko is really cute when she gets flustered. They shouldn't overdo it, though. It's also charming when they get flat-eyed and give them that stare.

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Well... I've been known to play them," Reiko says. She has a sip of her coffee -- and it's the taste she is familiar with, even if it isn't actually that good. But Reiko has a certain nostalgia for it.

"I heard someone mention it, too, a couple of times," Reiko says. But saying it might be a place her sister worked at seems ill-advised -- after all, she doesn't know Shinobu's work status there.

"I play more video games," she admits. "But... I like all sorts of games."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Someone mentioned it, huh? Wow, what's the chances? Perhaps Reiko has a friend or a sibling who's into trading card games, is how Myunghon squirrels this one chestnut away. The part of her that's drumming the anxiety drum somewhere far away thinking 'A COP KNEW OF YOUR PROPERTY WHAT IF THAT 'SOMETHING' IS AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE BAENGNYONG' is sealed behind an airtight bunker.

"I... admit I don't play many games," Myunghon expresses. Never had a sibling, never was given a console... those weren't useful for becoming a perfect academic grinder. A whole childhood, lost. "Tell me about some of your favourite."

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"I don't have as much time as used to," Reiko admits. She doesn't have to think for very long, though. She brightens up -- leaning over the table -- and for just a moment, she isn't a police officer but an excited fan.

"Drake Adventure!" she says. "It's that--ah--that RPG series. I imagine you heard of it? I'm really looking forward to the next one. And I've been replaying DA5 lately, and--"

She laughs, then looks embarrassed. "Sorry. I'm carrying on."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

This young woman is radiating so much... truthness about herself, when Reiko says she really loves Drake Adventure.

When Myunghon is asked what a favourite of theirs is, their brain instantly hits the brakes and cobweb-fissures into a million different lines of inquiry--

  Why is this person asking?
What do I know about their own interests?
      How judgemental are they?
How interested are they really in what I answer?
Was there already an answer they had in mind?
            What is this really about?
What's their angle? What're they trying to get out of it?
How do I escape this trap and get one over them in turn?

"I... I have never played one," Myunghon finds themselves a little dumbfounded at truth. "Which one should I try, if I do?"

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

When Myunghon seems to freeze up for a second, Reiko wonders if she maybe nerded out too much. It isn't really seemly, she has been told; her parents only tolerated her hobbies, after all, and they made sure she knew that was a character flaw.

She smiles again, though, at Myunghon's question. "Well... I think DA3 is the classic for a reason. But I suggest going with the later remake," she says. "It was an old game and it's... a little... um. The old one has its charm, but it's kind of hard."

She considers for a second. "The remake is a smoother experience," she says. "If you try it, let me know what you think?"

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"D... A... 3," Myunghon seems to speak genuinely a bit slower, as if to memorise it. Then the mention of 'remakes' and how there's multiple versions just seems to fry them for a moment. Is this the true power of Gamers, that mythical underclass that they have heard spoken of in hushed circles, but not polite company?

"Hmm. You have piqued my interest now, so if I do find a means of playing it, I should do just that," Myunghon nods.

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"That one!" Reiko says, with a smile and a nod of her head. She nods, then. She doesn't really know if Myunghon will play it -- she is used to having people humor her, aside from her sisters, when it comes to games.

"And--well." She sips her coffee. "If I have some spare time, maybe I can pay the Cardboard Dragon a visit sometime."

Inwardly, she wonders -- why did she offer that? That doesn't have much to do with her job. But, it sounds fun, and--and she doesn't quite know where that thought leads, otherwise.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Myunghon is going to be found being extremely confused between what the difference between 'Drake Adventure 3 (MSX)' and 'Drake Adventure 3 (NES)' and 'Draque's Adventure 3: Honour Amongst Thieves (2006) (S360)' and also 'Drakeventure III: The Carnival Ride' (Fuji-Q Highlands, Hakone)' is.

"Oh?" Myunghon does sound genuinely disarmed. "It is a bit of a journey out, I must admit. Police officers do not get a lot of time off, so I would hope you make the best of it. But you would be welcome anytime."

A pause, and then they chuckle: "I do not even have a business card to give you. And even if I did, it would have been thoroughly river-logged."

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

"Ah, well--I know some people in Sumaru," Reiko admits. "So... I'm out there sometimes to see them."

Her sister Ayame, in particular. She doesn't mention that, though -- after all, her parents wouldn't approve of her seeing Ayame. Reiko doesn't want to put that idea out there by accident, carelessly.

She blinks, then she shakes her head. "Well..." She hesitates. "We could trade numbers, maybe."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"Ah. Certainly," Myunghon nods, though in the back of their mind wondering what on the scale of inappropriateness it is to be exchanging contact details with a police officer. Of course, they have burner upon burner upon burner phones, so they fish one out and--

    "Ah."

They hold the phone out, which doesn't turn on.

"I forgot. Magic River Teleportation destroys phones when you engage with its Arcane Maegick."

Or it could just be the simple scientific truth that you dunked your phone in water?!

<Pose Tracker> Reiko Shimizu has posed.

Reiko looks down at the waterlogged, destroyed phone. She blinks behind her glasses, then she looks up at Myunghon. She blinks again at them.

"Yes. Arcane magic," she repeats, with that flat sort of tone that Myunghon thought about just a little earlier. Reiko's phone -- halfway out of the pocket -- is dropped back into her pocket.

She sighs.

"Next time, then? If you can stay out of the river," Reiko says.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Myunghon lets out a soft sigh, finishing their coffee before scribbling a number down on a piece of paper, before slipping it over to Reiko. They genuinely can't remember their burner phone number -- it is a burner, after all, so they do something that they'd consider a breach of opsec:

They share one of their real phone numbers.

"Next time," they smile, delighted as they rise from their seat. Hmm... there really was something about them.
