2025-08-17: You Can Teach A Young Dog New Tricks
- Log: You Can Teach A Young Dog New Tricks
- Cast: Tsubasa Seki, Myunghon Yeo
- Where: The Cardboard Dragon
- OOC Date: 2025-08-17
- IC Date: Wednesday, June 27 2012
- Summary: Tsubasa visits the Cardboard Dragon, only to get alarmed by the blood on Myunghon's shirt... which alarms Myunghon, of course. Lance saves the day with her quick doggy wits, though, as the two calm down through hearing her story. Myunghon tells Tsubasa about the deal they've brokered with Tsumugi -- and while Tsubasa struggles to comprehend that someone would look out for them at first, they're quickly overcome with gratitude when they realise Myunghon's for real.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
This time, when Tsubasa ascends the steps to the Cardboard Dragon, they bring a friend with them.
Enter: Lance.
The Tosa Inu actually pads in first, a scrawny runt of a fighting dog with some old scars and a wagging tail. Behind her tromps Tsubasa, dressed in the Kasugayama boys' uniform, shirt tied over their daringly exposed midriff and sleeves rolled up, per usual. Their tan is looking nicer, since they last rolled in; evidently, they did get out to their parlour. Their wig today is purple, yellow, and white, all done up in a wild mullet; they've stolen a few more replacements, since they lost some.
(Being seventeen is the power to be able to choose any style of wig, and actively say, yeah, that mullet suits me great actually.)
"Yo," they call out, since there's no bell or anything to announce them, and it's getting late enough in the evening that they might not have a lot of customers in. "Dogs are cool in here, yeah?"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon's spent the last couple of hours in the Sumaru Police Department against their will, which was a harrowing experience that was only ameliorated by Reiko being there to save them. It did still mean they had shrapnel in their body for more hours than they wanted, which they only got out very recently and so when Tsubasa enters there's a faint smell of blood and also the stronger smell of disinfectant, and Myunghon hasn't been able to replace their shirt so there's a red splotch on it. Hopefully, Lance isn't sensitive to those smells!
Their coat's not over their shoulders since it's a cindered wreck in the corner somewhere, leaving them looking a little less larger than life with their body silhouette just being what it is: wiry.
"Oh--" That pause is for Lance, "Tsubasa-kun!" Myunghon answers from where... there's a large pile of Peace Meal boxes from Peace Burger on the table in front of the couch. There's also the smell of fast food, albeit a bit soggy and lukewarm. They pause as they look to Lance, because they're terribly used to pets and other animals reacting to them with disfavour -- but once they're certain Lance is Nice, they nod.
"You haven't introduced me to your friend," Myunghon smiles weakly, summoning an extra reserve of strength to paper over that they're quite fatigued at this point in time. Their eyebrow arcs gently. "Oh, your tan's looking nice. The hair's popping too, I approve."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Sniff, sniff. 'Rrrr,' Lance growls, tucking her tail between her legs, as Tsubasa wrinkles their own nose. "It's cool, girl," they say, patting her on the head, as they look around to figure out what that smell is --
"Oh, shit," they say, and there's no real way to see the blood draining from their face with all the layers of artifice they've got going on, but they can probably hear the way their gut drops down out of their abdomen and to the floor.
"No, dude, shut up, what?!" They yelp, scrambling forward, as Lance whines and pads forward to nose her face into Myunghon's space with doggy concern. "You're bleeding!"
Well, they'd think that. They haven't dealt with enough blood-from-the-inside to recognise the difference between something actively gushing and something that's been patched up.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon does have to work really hard to hide a flinch as Lance reflexively 'rrr's, but it's the telltale drop in Tsubasa's worry that gets them as they gently settle back onto a nearby metal folding chair. "I-it's fine... I'm sorry, Tsubasa-kun. I already treated myself, I just didn't have time to change shirts. I'm sorry to startle your friend too," is all they get off before they get a mlrmful of Lance.
Myunghon tenses lightly and hesitates from wanting to reach back, perhaps an unpleasant memory brought back to the fore, but they at least don't shy away from Lance herself nosing at their legspace.
It's taking conscious effort to not remind themself of the last few hours and have their voice shake again, but the worry in having evoked Tsubasa's worry is conflicting with that. "Why don't you relax for a spell, I'll go change, okay?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"It's not fine!" Tsubasa protests, their voice climbing higher, before they notice the way Myunghon's reacting to their dog. "C--c'mon, Lance, back off," they tug her away, gently.
They've... gotta be bothering them, right now, right? Tsubasa thinks that as they look down, feeling that surely they ought to just get out of here, whatever's going on right now...
"Uh -- sure -- or I can beat it -- whatever's good," they say, awkwardly, as they stand there. They're really no good at relaxing, as they look over the Cardboard Dragon and try to figure out what even happened, but at least they'll... try to wait for Myunghon to tell them to leave before they do.
Like... what if they're not fine, and...
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon gently does reach for the side of Lance's head to stroke at her in the way someone with obviously zero experience of how to pat dogs does, if only to show that it really is okay and Lance isn't being intrusive. At least, for their own sake. They're silently REALLY glad they already got rid of the shrapnel on the floor and wiped the blood away because if Tsubasa saw a blood-caked sharp piece of metal this situation was probably going to go to Yua's hometown faster than you can say 'south'.
"No, no, please stay... I had something really good that I needed to tell you," Myunghon does try to offramp towards the one definitively good topic now that they've reminded themself of Tsubasa's situation -- though they hadn't received the context that Tsubasa was in the thick of the attack on Kasugayama High themself.
The rumourmonger hurries towards the back, where there's a set of stairs up. Oh yeah... when they look at the building from the outside, it is three stories high, not two. What's up there? Their living space?
One solid minute later, they return having replaced their bloodied dress shirt with a blue T-shirt that's roughly five sizes too large for them and has experienced about 7 years of tumble drying and has a dried, cracked print with a blue and white cutie of a Jack Frost mascot pointing out: MY BROS -ARE- MY HOS!
"See? All good," Myunghon gently lifts the shirt up to show that the wound underneath, somewhere under their ribcage, is all patched up. The other bandages that hide the scarring on their torso is also present, along with the black tanktop-like chest binder.
"Do you want a drink, Tsubasa-kun?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"S-sure," Tsubasa stammers, when Myunghon asks them to stay. Awkwardly, they perch themself down on the edge of the couch, keeping a hand on Lance to stop her from following after the human who is CLEARLY HURT.
Three stories high... well, it's not that weird to live where you work. Anyway, they'll probably be healthier if they don't ask too many questions about what's hidden from view around here.
Their face twists up in something between amusement and their worry when Myunghon comes back down. "Dumb shirt," they say, though... they can see the bandages under there when they lift it up.
They... went to hospital for that, right...?
"Uh, sure," they add, when Myunghon asks if they'd like a drink. "Got anythin' good?" Tsubasa, you can't just ask adults to give you booze, that's a crime.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
What is behind there, up the stairs? Yua's been up there, likely, and been aghast at the things in Myunghon's pantry. It's mmmmmostly disaster and disappointment.
"Dumb's okay when it's free," Myunghon points out, perhaps appreciating that for once the 2XL promo shirt they only use for sleeping actually managed to come in somewhat useful. They don't stop their gait as they walk around the couch and go to the little mini-fridge with drinks behind the counter. "Just soda," they admit. "I have sugar-free."
As if sugar free was some kind of miniature revelation. As much as they don't like to dress in tees in front of people, though, they do have to admit it IS kind of liberating to not have the dress shirt and tie combo at this moment in time. "Ah-- tell me a bit more about Lance. I didn't get to meet her last time," they say, continuing to fill the gap in the conversation lest it get awkward, now more free to give Lance more attention now that they've gotten over a lot of their first instinctual timorousness.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Guess so," Tsubasa shrugs. It's not like they don't have their own share of shirts no one else wanted which they use to sleep in. And they just have soda, but, "Whatever's good."
Dreams of beer: dashed.
"Me and the Boss found her in an alley one day when we skipped school," they explain Lance's deal, one hand still at her shoulder to keep her beside them. "Dunno what happened, but... she don't like the words you use to call a dog little, and she's chatty, so... reckon whoever had her wasn't happy she weren't a better sumo dog." They frown, looking down at her. "Ain't even legal here, so I guess they couldn't give her to a real shelter, so... they just ditched her. Didn't have anyone..."
If Tsubasa is getting a bit emotional talking about their rescue dog, it has absolutely nothing to do with themself.
They shake their head, after a moment's pause. "Uh, so the Boss helped me get her set up with trips to the vet and whatever, and -- makes sure I got kibble for her, that shit's hard to jack." Dog food comes in very big packets. Tsubasa's pockets are not that big. "My place is fuckin' tiny, but... ain't no one comes check on me, so hidin' a dog's easier there than in the dorms. Uh, way too small for her to stay there when I ain't at school, though." Which explains why Tsubasa is so often seen with their dog.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
I'm sorry, Tsubasa. If Myunghon gives you beer, the CERO rating will hit Z right away... ... that and Myunghon doesn't stock beer, even for themself, because So-young had to clarify she meant an alcoholic drink. What a teetotaller.
Myunghon's starting to be able to recover now that they and their wound aren't the center of attention anymore, as they set down an Orange Smash by Tsubasa's side of the table and starts sweeping away the Happy Meal boxes to make some space. "Mmm..." So Lance was found abandoned by a careless owner. Unfortunately, that's the kind of story you hear too often in Hirasaka, and with how tight the ward budget is, animal services aren't as comprehensive or quick as everyone'd like it to be.
They find themself with a singular chuckle as Tsubasa admits kibble is hard to lift, though. It's true, those bags are big -- but they managed, didn't they? That's impressive. "That so... that sounds pretty difficult, so I'm glad the Boss is helping you out. Do you want me to stock some food here for her?" they ask gently. Now that the adrenaline is starting to wear off, it's easier to be closer to Lance without some instinct of theirs kicking up.
"I'm glad both you and the Boss were there for her. No one deserves to be left like that."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"It's cool," Tsubasa shakes their head. "Can tell you're not that big on dogs... it'd be weird to attract more, right?" Because of course if Myunghon stocks dog food, they'll attract dog people.
They sigh, though, cracking open the can of soda. (C'mon, dude. CERO won't even know. Besides, Tsubasa's almost old enough to drink... in Australia.) "She didn't," they say, because they can't quite manage no one. "She's a good dog. And like, shit, she's real smart, y'know? Even managed to train her to run home if shit hit the fan, like... gettin' on the train and everythin' if she's gotta."
Dogs taking the train in Japan isn't unheard of, of course. (Everyone knows the story of faithful Buchiko...) It's still pretty impressive to have managed to train a dog to run onto the right platform and recognise the right stop.
Lance must know so many words...
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
"I'm just-- used to not being liked by dogs," Myunghon confesses, after a momentary silence. They haven't quite figured out why, because they aren't interested in anything approaching a formal scientific inquiry or experiment about it, but they figure there's probably some scent on them that doesn't agree with a number of the ones they've encountered. "But I don't mind. Just let me know."
Their words are getting careless, or they're starting to hyperfixate on little things again. Back to Lance. "I-- really?" Myunghon looks rather impressed and surprised both, as they redouble their look on Lance as if wondering if they've been outsmarted this entire time. What secrets do you know, Lance? "Even I'm not sure if I can find my way to the right train at times...!"
Perhaps Lance truly is magical... a modern reincarnation of faithful Buchiko, perhaps?!
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Well, another reincarnation, maybe.
"Dogs really wanna make people happy," Tsubasa shrugs. "If the dogs you met belonged to people who didn't like you, uh..."
RIP to Myunghon's shins.
"I've had to go find her a couple times if they change what platform goes where 'cause somethin' fucked up," Tsubasa shrugs, "but so long's it's workin' as normal, she can remember a route. I looked up how to test that shit, and she could remember what cup a treat's in when I hid it under one and took her out of the room then brought her back in. But then I tried movin' the cups around in front of her, and she still remembered what cup was the right one... well, that's all I noticed at first, but then one day the Foundry Boss started shit with us while I was walkin' her. Uh, it was a fight, y'know, but Lance got real stressed out by it all... she ended up bitin' Tachibana-san. She ain't no snitch, but I got real worried... like, what if they made me put a muzzle on her? Or put her down?" It's quite stressful, though Tsubasa tries to remain stoic through it. "So... I started trainin' her to run back home when shit hit the fan. And since I ain't always in Hirasaka, uh... eventually I had to see if she was smart enough to remember a whole-ass train trip."
They give Lance a good rub at her side. "She super was, though. She's good at gettin' shit out from tight spaces just usin' her paws, too, and she ain't fooled if you rearrange furniture or shit while she isn't lookin'... though, uh, I guess I can't do too much of that in my place, bein' fair."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
... maybe. Maybe not directly. Or maybe crime is involved. Or some other suspect modes of operation. It's not really the dog's fault, here! Even though they've gotten by so far with okay shins. Unless you mean Lance is pretty much right up to their shins right now!
"Ah, I see, like temporary closures on the train lines and such..." Myunghon ruminates. But that's still pretty incredible. It's clear that temporary events that require human communication doesn't quite extend, but having such a powerful sense of spatial awareness that you can ride a train home... that's still very impressive. Then Tsubasa also explains that Lance can essentially play the shell game... but that since Lance ended up biting someone during a fight, Tsubasa taught her how to return home so that she won't be in danger. It's tough to be a dog involved in school gang warfare, huh...?
"How far has she gone in one trip...?" Myunghon wonders. "And with her size, she can easily get past the turnstiles too... my public commutes have gotten more expensive lately." They appear to be a bit jealous.
"But how interesting... now I want to try it out," Myunghon leans forward at Lance and-- whoop, out comes a pack of playing cards. ... how did they do that?? They're not even wearing sleeves anymore at this point in time!! "Lance, here's the Ace of Hearts," they hold the card up for a nice long while for her. "I'm going to shuffle it into the deck, and I want you to pick it out. Okay?"
They manipulate the cards deftly, perhaps feeling a bit more relaxed with doing physical manipulation with their hands for the time being, riffle-shuffling without having to use a surface. Then, at the end, they spread the deck out...
... but the Ace of Hearts isn't in the deck or on their person anymore!! They hid it in Tsubasa's pocket.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Uh, let's see... prob'ly the furthest is from Shibuya back home? And yeah, though if they're high enough she just goes under 'em... uh, y'know you can just jump over that shit, though, right?" What, did you think Tsubasa buys train tickets? If they meet an transit officer, they just play dumb about their school pass and give them a fake name. It's worked every time!
(You know, so far.)
Lance perks up, though, when they hear their name. "It's cool," Tsubasa says, releasing her shoulder, and she picks herself up to amble over to invade Myunghon's space again. Of course, it's terribly hard for a dog to know what square of cardboard is different to any other square of cardboard, but she seems to be contemplating the square thoughtfully...! "Lance, fetch that card," Tsubasa translates, helpfully. "But wait. Waiiiit..."
'Ruff,' she says, wagging her tail, as she watches Myunghon slip a hand into Tsubasa's pocket and then mess with all the cards. (Tsubasa, on the other hand, doesn't notice jack shit.)
"Okay, go fetch!" Tsubasa tells her, and Lance BOOFS as she sniffs around... Tsubasa?! "No, c'mon, fetch the card," Tsubasa tries to cue her, as she paws at the couch by their thigh. "No, look, you can't come up, this isn't your couch..."
Paw, paw, paw, Lance works at getting the card at an angle so that they can actually paw it out. Rouf!!
"The fuck," Tsubasa says, as they look down to find the Ace slipping out of their pocket. "How'd you do that?!"
Myunghon, or Lance? Yes.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Wow, Lance truly is magic!! Myunghon looks absolutely awestruck, to the point where they've completely forgotten about their own trick. "I'm truly defeated. I'm unable to deceive her," Myunghon has a rather luxurious little laugh. It seems to cheer them up from their own frazzledness for the time being.
But Tsubasa points out that it's easy to jump over the turnstiles! "Very true. But now I want to see Lance jumping over the ticket gates..." Perhaps next time, when they're on the case of the Subway Slammer. Now feeling as if they've shared a bit of a bond with the trick, Myunghon reaches forward to give Lance a bit more of a heartfelt pat on the sides of her head. "You're very talented, Lance. Thank you for showing me your expertise."
Myunghon draws a deep breath as they put the cards aside. Now that their thoughts somewhat resemble orderly again, they're reminded of something they wanted to say earlier. "Ah... Tsubasa-kun, that's right, I... wanted to ask you something. You wrap your chest with bandages, right? To make your chest less pronounced. Do you take them off at night when you go to sleep...?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"That's, uh -- wow. Good dog!" Tsubasa remembers to praise Lance after getting baffled by her uncanny insight. (Well, she certainly noticed something Tsubasa never did.) "You're such a good dog!!"
Boof!! Lance barks, dropping the bass as they do so, tail wagging a million miles an hour. She even gets pets from the new person!! And Lance, at least, has no problem with Myunghon.
"Uh... yeah," Tsubasa says, self-consciously raising a hand to their chest when Myunghon calls attention to it. "I mean, usually... sometimes I just crash out, but it, uh, ain't great." Binding with something which has as little give as bandages leads to pretty consistent bruising, as Myunghon would know; and that's bad enough during the daytime, but it gets worse at night, when movement isn't so conscious and all that pressure is concentrated on the bandages.
This is, of course, leaving aside the way that constant pressure makes it harder to take a deep breath. Even breathing from the belly only gets you so far, when the top half of your ribcage is knot tight. It's an easy trip to dysfunction in the lungs, especially if one gets sick... or if one has reduced lung function, from, say, smoke inhalation.
And of course, sleeping with that kind of tight binding always runs the risk of the bones protesting having nowhere to move. It's all too easy for bruising to precede a snap.
... Tsubasa hasn't thought about many of those problems, though. They've just noticed it's harder to breathe, sometimes, and their chest usually hurts.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Maybe dogs are good. Don't let a few bad experiences sway you otherwise, Myunghon...!! You, too, can have the enjoyment of good, smart dog...
There's a gentle nod from Myunghon, as they also raise their hand to their chest, somewhat by instinct. "I used to do that too, a few years ago, and... well, I'm a bag of bones, so I really felt it in the morning. Sometimes I didn't even make it to the morning, I'd just be gasping for air. You'd know as much as I do bandages're supposed to hold something in real tight... but that's gonna do a real number on the ribs over time, it can mess with the bones or the lungs. If you're real unlucky, the bones might just give, too."
A pause.
There is a moment where speaking about this does take Myunghon back to how they realised they wanted to bind -- because after Miho happened, their Demon-induced injuries were so grievous that their chest was bandaged to keep the Everything in... and though everything then was a haze of comorbidities and treatment and rehab and surgery, they did remember leaving with the impression that it did make them feel less dysphoric.
See, Miho's always helping her friends out.
"I don't... want you to have to have those problems, since you're still growing, too."
A moment passes further, then, "So, I looked it up on the internet." Myunghon does pull the shirt back up, at this point, to show the binder they're wearing. "People recommended wearing something like this instead, which compresses the soft tissue without compressing the ribs. But even with this, you can't sleep with it on."
... though neglectful as they are, Myunghon is probably not consistent about it as well.
"Anyway. Recently I talked to the owner of a clothing store called Peacock Silk. Their name is Tsumugi Kujaku. It's a bit further out, in Shimokitazawa." They reach to their phone again, and then pulls it up on an online map. "I asked them if they'd size you for some binders, and they said they would be happy to."
Another 'X'... and with the skills with clothing they both can benefit from!!
"I put some money with Tsumugi-ssi to cover the costs, so if you're interested, all you have to do is call and turn up."
Internally, Myunghon feels a bit smug at the fact that what's covering this is, technically, not even their own money, but the Cognitive loot from Kaneshiro's Palace guards. ... well, it's worth taking shrapnel to the torso, so far.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"You mean, like... breakin' my ribs?" Tsubasa frowns, looking down at themself. "Mm..."
It's hard to tell Myunghon they're wrong. Like, for one thing, they've been there, and for another... they can feel the spots on their chest that are bruised, right now.
"It... does beat me up a bit," they admit, a touch lamely. "Didn't know that could make it hard to breathe too, though... uh, lungs got fucked, uh, a while back."
... Tsubasa doesn't just get winded after a sprint because they're not into sports.
They consider Myunghon's binder, which looks for all the world like the world's tightest tanktop. "And that's... different?" They ask, a touch sceptically. "Okay..."
Tsubasa's not entirely sure how that's different, but Myunghon would know, they guess.
Tsubasa puts a hand on the couch, to scooch a bit closer and scrutinise the map. "Shimokitazawa..." They echo, as they turn it over in their head. Sounds like an upscale place.
They're just about to protest that they can't afford custom tailoring, when Myunghon insists they've covered it. "H-hey, whoa, I can't ask for somethin' like that!" Tsubasa protests, looking up from Myunghon's phone to Myunghon's face. "That's gotta cost way too much, right?! What's the catch?!"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
"I was going to ask you to do me some real evil favours and draw you into a life of crime," Myunghon teases, posturing their head to give their eye the glint and all, having finally recharged enough to remember that they can do some teasing. "But then Lance beat me in a game of wits, and the loser in a game of wits has to pony up."
There's a self-satisfied chuckle into their own hand for a minute, but then they do soften up and speak more earnestly, noting that Tsubasa already had lung problems... from binding, or from something else? They aren't sure, but they aren't going to press, since there's definitely many other reasons in Tsubasa's life for health problems to develop. Gang fights, home problems...
"Tsubasa-kun, don't you think it's enough that I can feel a bit more at ease that you aren't going to develop more chest or lung problems in the next one to three years? It took me long enough, and I want to pass it along."
They lean forward and more cheerfully say, to Lance, "You agree with this too, right, Lance?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Tsubasa would protest that they're already living a life of crime, except that Myunghon's crimes are, like, way out of Tsubasa's league. Tsubasa just breaks into joints to vandalise them, man. Myunghon's out here getting... some kinda injury that makes their shirt all bloody, and whether that's a knife or something worse it's still freaky.
Their tension gives way to confusion when Myunghon admits that the dog beat them, though, and...
Wait, so, like, they really do care?
Tsubasa straightens up off of their hands, as one pulls up to hide their cheek; of course they don't have to do that, there's no way Myunghon could tell they're blushing, trying to hide their face surreptuously just makes it suspicious, but they're not thinking about that in the moment. "Uh... y'mean, uh... you think I'm worth all that? I, uh..."
They swallow, and plant their fists in their lap, as they bow their head and speak forcefully: "T-thank you very much, Yeo-sama!!"
All that humility is heavier than it looks, though, so they straighten back up pretty quickly, grabbing their can of soda and taking another drink. "Uh," they say, a moment later, "gettin' there, what'd I call you when they ask? Or, uh, if someone else asks... I dunno if your name's a thing or nothin'. Don't wanna put you in a tight spot..."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon just seems so pleased as Tsubasa works through that they do deserve this, and that they are worth all that, with a kind of sharp smile and vigorous nods in turn because they've been conditioned that Lance is okay with pets from the new person now.
If there was a price, it's already paid, because it probably was that they were on the verge of falling apart from being harrowingly harrassed by Officer Ishiba and needing to be rescued by Reiko while also nursing Jin Shirato-based wounds, and managed to pull up to 'feeling pretty good now'.
Thank you, Tsubasa! Thank you, Lance!
"Yeo-sama? That doesn't sound so bad..." Myunghon rubs their chin, letting it pass for now, though they're probably going to tell Tsubasa to knock it off in a few days. "Ah, Myunghon is fine. They're pretty big on first names there. It's kinda nice, actually? I didn't think they'd humour me, but I'm really glad I asked now."
There's a hum as they pull up their phone. "Oh, we should probably exchange phone numbers in case you run into trouble." Sneaky sneaky, because they make the context sound like trouble with the Peacock Silk, but it's all encompassing, general trouble! "Also so you can tell me what kind of food Lance likes for later."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Cool." Tsubasa actually smiles when Myunghon accepts their regard, which, like, isn't something that never happens but sure doesn't happen often. They say that Myunghon's fine, too, so they suppose it's fine to refer to them by their real name if they're talking about them.
"Oh -- uh, sure, that's cool," Tsubasa pulls out their own phone, to swap those numbers with them. (It's a few years out of date, which is a tragedy for a teenager, but their phone luckily still works fine.) "S-sure!"
They are just, like, so happy that Myunghon actually thought to look out for them.
... they're really not as standoffish as they first appear, huh?
