- Summary: Myunghon visits Tsubasa, holed up in their safehouse, with some more supplies and mentorly advice.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
It's mid-morning at the safehouse Myunghon has appointed for Tsubasa -- and they've been very busy and haven't been able to check up on Tsubasa as expediently as they'd like, but they're making the time now. They're not... knocking at the door, though. Instead, Tsubasa first hears some kind of a clatter and a latch opening, mutedly, underneath one of the tatami mats. Are they hearing things?! Are the ghouls from the Dark Hour about to drag them down into the underworld, now that they're in the know?!
"Tsubasa-kun?" a muffled voice comes from underneath. "It's Myunghon. Are you clear? I'm going to move the mat in a moment, okay...?"
Holy shit! This safehouse has SECRET TUNNELS?
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"WHAT THE FUCK," can be heard from the safehouse, as that mat is preemptively whisked away, to reveal Tsubasa holding a flashlight like a bludgeon.
(That's because it is a bludgeon. For some reason, it's probably not a good idea to keep weapon weapons in a safehouse for these purposes.)
Luckily, before they can bonk Myunghon on the bonce, they speak up and explain just who they are. "The fuck, man," Tsubasa exclaims, staggering back, which at least gets the area clear for them. They kind of flop back on the couch, letting the flashlight drop in against the cushion and the armrest. "'Bout gave me a fuckin' heart attack, man."
Secret tunnels aren't real. That's movie shit, man.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon reflexively holds their hands up and kind of shrivels away from that flashlight. "No no no! It's me," Myunghon stammers, because they might be sensitive about being hit in the head again after the, everything that is Ishiba and all that's followed.
They're wearing a white coat this time, as well as a chocolate-coloured ruffle button-down with a black ribbon tie, a white two-pleat skirt, black leggings, and black Mary Janes. It's kind of... weird to see them not in the black coat and the suit and tie.
It takes them a bit of effort to move the mat, because 'moving things above their head' is a particular weakness of theirs, but it's ultimately just a mat, heavy as those can be -- they can shove their shoulder at it. They have a big and particularly filled messenger bag with them.
"I brought you some more supplies. I'm not certain who's dropped by, so I brought everything I know the safehouse is low on," Myunghon sounds uncertain. They take a look at Tsubasa for a longer moment, and then around the place a little more fully now that the spreadsheets and notes are in full view. Their eye widens for a moment, but not in shock. It almost looks like...
...
...
It feels familiar and comforting.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"S--sorry, dude," Tsubasa stammers out, "but give me a head's up before you do that shit next time, holy shit."
Luckily, Tsubasa swept the mat aside already!!
Tsubasa's Wall of Guilty Souls has grown in volume with even more angry notes connecting the guilty parts, since yesterday. It's looking positively apocalyptic, now. ... and it's using everyone's real names, which is a rookie mistake, relaly.
"Uh, Big Sis and Aragaki-san came by yesterday," Tsubasa says, "an' then the Boss came over, later." Which is technically true. The Dark Hour is 'later'.
Beat.
"Also I used up like half yer paper." They deliver this in straight monotone gruffness. "Sorry."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon doesn't answer immediately, just seems to take in the everything and enjoying and relishing the moment like there's a true connection between them. "Mmm..." They can connect what Tsubasa must be thinking, too, given how they're very aware that the police is after them. After another arson. It's happening again for them, given they've spoken about the City Hall fires. "Shinobu-ssi and Shinjiro-ssi, hmm...?" They look a little more pained about that, but they look relieved that they didn't have to run straight into them. Even if they're certain they'd set their argument aside for Tsubasa.
"That's fine," Myunghon answers, unlatching the bag to take truly everything they might've needed out -- there's nonperishable foods, some konbini food, toiletries and supplies, as well as additional medical ones as well. "If you still need anything else, let me know. The police are still looking for you... I'm unconvinced this safehouse will elude them for long, but you were unconscious for quite a while. That, and they know I am connected to you, given the events of that night..."
A pause, as they shake their head and look more squarely towards Tsubasa, gently. "I'd ask how you are doing, but... this weaves a web of thoughts for me already."
They place a finger to their lip. "People continuing to use and set you up, in another arson... who benefits?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Tsubasa does notice how pained Myunghon looks, to speak of those two. "Uh... somethin' happen?" They ask, a touch awkwardly, because of course Shinjiro has already acted weird about Myunghon.
They're not that thick.
But -- food!! And, most importantly: some more concealer and another wig, which of course Tsubasa grabs and switches their beanie out with immediately. "They're still at it?" Tsubasa scowls, darkly, when they mention the police search is ongoing. "Fuck, man. Like... the fuck do I do?"
They flop back against the couch, with a wordless, agonised sound which goes a lot like, "UGHHHHHHHH. Right? Fuckin' sucks, man. I don't even get it. He'd hate all this bad press," and here they must be talking about their father, "but he had to know my mom wouldn't fuckin' know how to kill a guy, right? Unless he didn't know how the rumour worked, but Inoue-sensei," as in a doctor, not a teacher, "he sure fuckin' was coverin' up the Joker Killer last I was in hospital. Fuck."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon does look surprised Tsubasa cottoned on, and then gently says, "No, we... just had an argument. We'll sort things out, now that we've had a bit of time to think, ourselves..." Of course, they're not certain whether it's all ruined forever, but you gotta put up a brave act because they really don't want Tsubasa to worry about additional things right now. As if to distract them, though, there is a paper-wrapped package from inside the bag with a wig on it! It's brightly coloured, but not two-tone like their usual, sadly.
They hand the package over. It is a bright colour, at least, just not the multi-coloured ones Tsubasa tends to like. He'd hate all the bad press... Hanzou Seki, they surmise. They frown deeper, having heard about who ordered the hit on the Joker, but...
"Unfortunately, you and I do happen to be in the web of that conspiracy, yes..." Myunghon does choose their words a bit more carefully, so as to not just cast anyone and everyone as being in it. "The Joker Killer undoubtedly has the media on their side as well, given how well-suppressed it all has been."
What do they DO?
"We could try to move you out of Sumaru for a bit... I can ask Kazama-kun to drive you out. She's the best driver I trust with this. But I think a wiser course of action would be to try to counteract them with information, which I'm currently working on," Myunghon murmurs, not particularly proud of their progress, but nonetheless still trying. They have to try.
"I'm sorry, Tsubasa-kun. This does... suck, as you put it. But you won't be alone in fighting this."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Oh... sucks, man," Tsubasa offers, awkwardly. Myunghon doesn't seem to want to get into it, so it would be weird to pry, right?? "Sorry I went an' got in trouble while you were fightin'. Gotta be awkward."
What, should they schedule their assassinations to a more convenient time??? What a ridiculous apology. And yet there it lies, right out there in the open.
Still: there's a wig in that package. "Thanks, Yeo-sama," Tsubasa smiles, briefly, upon having proper hair again. It's loudly blonde, which is of course the colour of punks everywhere. (For real?!)
"Yeah, ya father sucks too, huh..." Tsubasa sighs, head flopped back against the couch. "Guess it's real convenient they can pin the fires on me when they don't wanna say the name of the guy what did it."
Still... leaving Sumaru. Their fingers drum, on the back of the couch. "Leave the Boss, huh..." Their lips press firmly together, as they find the thought more difficult to grapple with than it ought to be. Like, it's their hide, right? "... but y'reckon I'd get back here, yeah?"
They huff out a sigh, and lurch forward, elbows resting on their thighs as they slump in the other direction. "Ya workin' on it, eh... jus' not used to that. Long time, everyone said I was crazy... like, me, too. Ain't no one believed me. No one was gonna help me. Even when the Boss heard, weren't nothin' she could do." Their hands curl to fists, arms loose in the gulf between their legs. "You gotta look out for number one... that's what I figured. So, I ain't..." A pause; they swallow. "I ain't, used to not bein' alone in fightin' this shit."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon does look quizzical at Tsubasa's apology, yes, but there's a gentle smile afterwards as they shake their head. "I'm just very glad you're still with us. You can make up after a fight... less so getting the Joker Killer on you." Though they do, of course, feel heavy and awful about how it was around Shinjiro's very mortal condition, and how they have an argument they left unmended on someone who's now dead. Sometimes, you argue and then they die... and you can't fix it any longer.
Myunghon looks at Tsubasa and watches that smile briefly come to them, and says, "Ah, the colour does suit, after all. I'm glad."
Their father sucks too... "... and mother, apparently. Both sides of the family now out for my blood," Myunghon sighs lightly -- before pausing and realising their slip, then finding there's nothing more to it than to own up to it. "I guess that is another thing we happen to share, miserable as it is to find out."
The Rumourmonger definitely pinned Tsubasa as not being particularly willing to just book it for Sumaru, even as they work out that they're used to looking after number one. But now they're not alone anymore. "It wouldn't have to be permanent, but..." Tsubasa speaks of how no one believed them, back then -- not even themself. No one would -- or could help. They imagine Ichika wanted that so bad, but what could she do against such a vast conspiracy?
"... making you feel alone's the way they earn one up over you. That was how that asshole Ishiba worked," Myunghon points out. "But you know the facts, Tsubasa-kun. That's why they're scared of you. All this..." they gesture with their one good hand, the sling still on their other arm. "You must've figured out something. This is your case. They're scared of you connecting all the dots... and I'll help you."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Uh, yeah, guess so," Tsubasa shrugs. "Still sucks." They don't know exactly how it sucks, but they can at least imagine it does.
"Ch'yeah, like, it's classic, right?" Tsubasa grins, briefly, when Myunghon notes the wig's colour. "There's a reason I pushed bleach to the Boss when she wanted to up her look."
But Myunghon slips, and Tsubasa straightens up, hand slamming into the edge of the couch cushion. "Wait, yer mom, too?! What the fuck, man!" Apparently it's not business as usual, according to them.
Still... they listen to Myunghon's logic, with an uncertain noise in the back of their throat, as they look over the wall of suspects. "Ya reckon... it's worth somethin'?" They ask, slowly. "Always kinda felt like I was nuts... but I had to keep writin' it down... else I'd forget, yeah?" Tsubasa pauses, taking a deep breath. "I... need ya help with it," they confess, though it feels antithetical to expose their weaknesses like that. "Feels like nothin' makes sense, man."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
"Yeah... keep an eye out for them if you meet them again before I do, mm?" Myunghon does request of Tsubasa, though they're being a bit vague as to the 'them' is. Were they fighting with both Big Sis and Shinjiro? Must've been a pretty big argument, then... "I'm more upset at myself than anyone else..."
The colour's classic! Myunghon has a quiet snicker as they say, "Yes, light hair on the tan is a classic look. I'm lucky enough my hair turned white overnight. Makes all the black stand out," they say, though they're not wearing their usual look right now. It's a bit weird to see them be femme, maybe.
Tsubasa's hand nearly has them flinching, though. They're a bit jumpy right now. "... mm. Let's just say mother has some grievances on how I'm running things," they cup their hand with a quiet sigh. "I can imagine So-young already being upset I'm not telling her, but I'm not quite sure how to break the news." They might even be related, finding out you have a half-sister and then mom trying to off them in rapid succession.
"I know it's worth gold," Myunghon affirms. "Five million yen, dark, entering City Hall, two set up for the fall... I wouldn't even rule out your father's promotion with your latest hit, disgusting as it is to imagine." Myunghon does acknowledge they're paranoid, but they can see a pattern in a meteoric promotion and being urged to clean up loose ends. There's a gentle nod as they look towards the lists again.
"Mm, run me through your thoughts... but one bit of advice -- try to come up with fake names you remember, or some other kind of scheme to hide it. I'm just like you -- if I don't write it down, it's lost... but you remember that stupid board you've seen sometime, with the fast food mascots? The Joker Killer's the old-fashioned hamburger girl, there," Myunghon remarks, perfectly serious, as if they didn't say the stupidest thing imaginable.
"If the cops bust the door down right now and see this, they know how much you know."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Uh... sure," Tsubasa says, though they frown with concern. "But c'mon, dude, yer gonna be seein' 'em way 'fore I do, I'm stuck in here for the next however the fuck."
The gyaru look, of course, is classic. And Myunghon presenting femme... is not! (Well, not from how Tsubasa thinks of them, anyway.) "What, that ain't from a bottle?" They look surprised to hear that Myunghon's hair just turned another colour. That's movie shit!
(Tsubasa, stop insisting everything is movie shit when you CLEARLY live in a movie now.)
"Be cool, man," Tsubasa says, seeing Myunghon orient on them when they make a sudden movement. "It's -- I ain't -- it's cool," and they try their best to sit back down, despite being terribly jumpy themself. "Runnin' shit? So your mom's, what -- some sorta crime boss?" Tsubasa, you can't just call your mentors criminals. That's rude.
"It's gotta be," Tsubasa insists, though they look as if they've swallowed a bug to say it. "Like, my father put my mom up to it, gotta be, but... I was thinkin'... did she do that 'cuz she thought it was better'n him tryin' to get me to neck myself? Told me she loved me an' shit... so it's jus' weird she'd turn around and top me, man... maybe she thought she was helpin'."
Still, Myunghon suggests fake names, and Tsubasa's eyes widen as they look over their Guilt Board. The ridiculousness of Myunghon hiding their devilry with fast food mascots pales in comparison to why they do it. "Oh." Beat. "Shit."
Beat.
"Didn't think a that."
Seriously, who let this kid into the criminal's club, they should not be here.
"So, uh -- I told ya the shit with the fire, right? But like -- they said I did it -- an' they got this shrink to do the say-so, Denji Inoue. After I got the burns all stabilised, he put me in the psych ward... shocked me 'cuz he said I was psycho. And jus' kept -- tellin' me how crazy I was -- like, for months, man." They look grim, as they relate it. "Even when I was in hospital after the last time the Joker Killer hit us... he was sayin' how I was nuts. How there weren't no Joker Killer."
Tsubasa pauses, and reaches up to prod one of the dressings, on their side.
"... but... uh, look..." They start, a touch awkwardly. "I... really oughta go to hospital, y'know. Like -- guess it didn't last as long this time, but -- last time I were in this sitch, they said I got, fuckin', like, fourth degree burns, who the fuck even knows that count goes up above three?"
Their bones weren't exposed, so their burns definitely aren't that bad this time, but perhaps it's reasonable they'd be worried about it.
They've resolved not to die, after all.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon is idly noting that they're not instantly dying at Tsubasa saying 'man' or 'dude', but they're sure they don't want to be a guy either... Mr. Yeo doesn't sit right with them. Perhaps there's something in titles that rankle them more. They're not even sure they like Mx. There's a casualness that slides right off when Tsubasa says it that's pleasant. Dressing femme's also a miserable conflict with them right now, between 'I do like it' but 'also it feels like a betrayal'. Why gender gotta be messy.
"... I hope so," Myunghon admits, like they're not sure they're going to see them soon. Wow, how bad is it if they're trying to avoid each other? "No, I know so. I'll fix it."
The Rumourmonger picks at their hair. "I used to just have black hair... but next I saw my mangled face in a hospital mirror, it was all white, yes. I also thought it was only in fiction that that happens." Which, I'm pretty sure it is, but they're anime now, it's fine.
Tsubasa's very sharp, though, and has figured it out -- Myunghon has a very gentle sigh and a shaky little smile. "... that's right. I'll confide that information with you, Tsubasa. This safehouse we're in belongs to the Baengnyong -- it's Korean for 'White Dragon'. Mother runs it, but she put me in charge of a branch of it here, in Hirasaka. It's been about a year since I took charge, but, I confess, I'm not turning out to be a terribly good criminal."
White Dragon... hakuryu. Cardboard Dragon... hakoryu.
It was a pun this whole time???
Tsubasa realises they should've thought of fake names, and Myunghon waves it away gently. "It's fine, given how insistent they still are after all this time... they probably have a good idea. But it's good practice for other boards you start."
The topic moves on to what Tsubasa's thinking -- and the name Denji Inoue, the doctor, has come up before, the one who's managed to gaslight Tsubasa into thinking they're just crazy, hallucinating it... he put them in the psych ward. "That doctor..." They're going to remember that name. Then:
"They're called the New World Order -- NWO, Tsubasa-kun. There's a lot of members in the higher echelons of politics and corporate, as you've found out, and they have police, medical and media control in Sumaru as well," Myunghon points out, seemingly tangenting, but...
"I'm not telling you to be paranoid of literally everyone," Myunghon definitely says something that makes them an instant hypocrite, "But when you know the shape of the conspiracy, you can start to tell who's working a little too hard to discredit your story... and that'll help protect you from getting convinced it's just all in your head too."
But Tsubasa admits they should really be going to the hospital, as they touch their dressings. "Mm... Reiko-san did tell me a doctor in Yongenjaya she trusts. Do you want me to see if I can smuggle you out there...?"
The COP has a doctor the CRIMINAL trusts???
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
For Tsubasa, it's about which group it hurts less to be shoved into for people who don't get it. They can't stand being made to stand with the girls; but if they're standing with the boys, that means they're passing, even if they're not passing in a way society gets.
And that's how you make a theyhe musei!
(They haven't really examined how preferring to use masculine interjections might make other people feel, though.)
"Huh... that so," Tsubasa grunts, thoughtfully, when Myunghon pokes their hair. "Woulda said ya were fulla shit a couple months back, but... I dunno, man." They shake their head, and share: "S'posed to have brown hair, m'self," as if Myunghon couldn't tell that from the horrible patchwork on their skull, "but that don't count now. Hair's whatever the fuck colour I want it to be that day. 'Cept when it gets set on fire. Or fuckin' stolen," they add, glowering.
But Tsubasa figures out the crime, and Myunghon lets them in on the secret, and Tsubasa just kind of fixes them with a look that goes from freaked out to froglike over the course of their statement.
"Pfffffffuckin'hahahaha," is what they have to say about that.
Then, "tch, heh, uh, sorry, dude, jus' -- seriously, man? Ya got a whole fuckin' syndicate and made it ya store name? Like???" They somehow enunciate three question marks in a row, which is the unique gift of a teenager.
They rub at the back of their neck, as they suppose: "... guess I oughtna laugh 'bout that when she prolly used that kinda logic to try an' kill ya, huh. Sorry. I'm a dick." Hey, at least they own it, is the kind of thought running through their head, as if teenagers don't do insensitive shit constantly.
But Myunghon has a name for them! "The... New World Order?" Tsubasa asks, sceptically. "That's fuckin' --" they stop themself, "ugh, I have gotta stop sayin' this is movie shit, apparently everything at the fuckin' movies is real life or some shit. But... that'd explain why the cops knew my father, huh. So it's like this... secret bastard club, huh..."
(Speaking of insensitive things teenagers do.)
But Myunghon cites Reiko, and it's a clever tactic, because Reiko's the cop Tsubasa trusts the most too. (They might also trust Katsuya. A little bit.) "... yeah," Tsubasa nods, their expression still grim. "I... I better. Like, ya ain't did a bad job, but... burns are nuts. An', uh... the Joker Killer threw me in that burnin' buildin', an'... I decided I weren't cool with dyin' no time soon. Y'know?"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
"I really like your wigs. I haven't thought about dye in a few years," Myunghon does have a rather more pleased smile as they chat about hair. "Do you construct the wigs yourself too...? I remember you're pretty handy with clothes, but I wasn't sure if that extended to putting together the colours you wished on a given day."
Then they LAAAAAAAAAUGH in their face about it.
Myunghon, however, doesn't seem offended -- they instead snicker softly, hand to their lips as they say, "Why not? I thought I was being cute, putting up a store sign that basically says 'Bafia' when you're the Mafia." The way Tsubasa laughs seems to put them well at ease, even when it's sort of at their expense, but Myunghon's happy to be in on this joke.
They're about to say 'it seems to piss mother off too, so I'm happy', but Tsubasa beats them to the punch. "It's fucked up," they're wearing Tsubasa's words a little. "It'd be one thing if she tried to kill me and that was it, I'm out on the streets. But since that night? Everyone's still expecting orders as if nothing's happened. That's the way she plays the game... makes you keep guessing about what she's up to, only talks on her terms, not yours. That's a movie star for you, I suppose."
A deeper frown. "The Baengnyong's got a grudge against the NWO, but she sure acts much the same way as father, hhmm... sometimes, the enemy of your enemy isn't your friend after all."
Tsubasa calls it movie shit, and Myunghon places their hand to their forehead. "You might be more onto it than you think, Tsubasa-kun. If this were America, it might as well be the Illuminati or the Freemasons. A secret bastard club... that's an apt way to put it."
Perhaps Myunghon is a little swept up in Tsubasa's irreverent, insensitive phase at present.
Tsubasa agrees to see the doctor Reiko trusts, though. They draw into their planner and pulls out a card. "Tae Takemi, in Yongenjaya. I'll get Mio to go drive you there, and Reiko-san's apartment isn't too far away -- she obtained some medicine for me from that clinic when I was recuperating at her place."
Burns are, indeed, nuts, and nothing to be fucked with. "... you--" Myunghon sounds surprised that Tsubasa survived being trapped in a burning building. "... I'm still really glad you're with us, Tsubasa-kun."
They tap the mat, and say, "The trapdoor under here uses a tumbler lock. The code is 1028. That gets you to a hallway that joins with a service entrance to Kameya Alley. I've something else I need to look into... but feel free to contact me if you need anything, I'll try to be there as soon as possible, okay?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Huh? Y'can make that shit yourself?" Tsubasa looks quite shocked at that news, having apparently never thought of it. "Uh -- nah, I ain't -- have t' look inta it."
A new world has been opened to them...
"Sure, it's cute, but, like -- ain't that s'posed to be a secret?" Tsubasa's smiling as they say it, though. At least they can still laugh. They're not laughing when they relate how fucked up their mother is, though. "Shit," their scowl returns to the proper place upon their brow. "That's fucked. Like, they even know she did it?" Myunghon's gang, that is.
"Guess an abusive jackoff is an abusive jackoff no matter what kinda underworld they're in," Tsubasa shrugs, on the commonalities between them. Which also means they're calling Myunghon's mother an abusive jackoff, but they're trying to be validating about it.
"Yeah, like --" Tsubasa stops themself before they reveal the super hidden secret, which they almost did because they're terrible at opsec. (It's a good thing they don't share that quality in the slightest with their dastardly nemeses.) "Like... all this serial killer shit," they fill in, and it's only a little lame-footed. "It only happened in the movies before."
But Myunghon has -- a card! "Takemi-sensei, huh," Tsubasa reflects, looking down at the card. "Cool. That'll work." All they have to do is not fuck it up. They're seventeen, they can totally handle hiding out for a few days.
(They're literally going mad as they speak.)
"Y--yeah," Tsubasa rubs at the back of their neck, awkwardly. "Guess I never mentioned that part before, huh... uh... it's cool, this new guy in a phoenix hood dragged me outta there and I managed to scram. Though, uh, I made -- I mean, I guess everyone thought I was dead... kinda feel like a huge asshole for that."
Why would everyone thinking Tsubasa was dead at all be something they could have influenced?! Don't think about it it's fine they're just taking responsibility for things which aren't their fault because of the traumas again.
(The best lies have a little truth to them.)
"Kameya Alley, huh..." Tsubasa wonders, looking down at the hatch. "Huh. Cool. Yeah, I'll do that... thanks, Yeo-sama. Like, seriously. You saved my ass with this joint... they're hella after me."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
"Yeah, but the store's supposed to be a front... but then I became very attached to it and everyone who works with me there," Myunghon chuckles faintly, as if the joke is now, in fact, on them. They don't look too broken up about it, though, because the Cardboard Dragon crew -- the constants in the chaos of their life -- is truly precious to them.
Do the rest of the gang know? "... not sure," Myunghon admits. "If they do, they sure are acting really well like they don't. I think it's more likely Suzie, mom, didn't tell anyone. Just sitting back and observing what my next move is..." There's something like a smile, though, as Tsubasa speaks of abusive jackoffs.
Serial killer shit... that's only happened in the movies before. "It's Sumaru... it's the power of the rumours here, I imagine. It's all rather twisted, isn't it?"
Tsubasa confirms that that'll work, though. "I'll send Mio your way, she knows how to navigate the safehouse, can even move you to her church if this place ends up compromised and you need another." Is the NUN a CRIMINAL NUN too?? How many of the people in Hirasaka are secret criminals?!
Then they speak of how there was a guy in a phoenix hood that saved them -- Myunghon's definitely thinking a Persona-User, at this point... they haven't heard of anyone like that before. "Perhaps I'll have to go find this Phoenix guy... at least thank them." They shake their head, as they also thank them for saving them with this safehouse. "I'm certain everyone is just relieved to see you're still with us. We can beat them, Tsubasa-kun. Don't lose hope, all right?"
They slide their legs down the hatch, after checking their watch. "I need to take the train out to the Peacock Silk. I made sure Lance's had her food and water before I came here. I'll see you later, Tsubasa-kun." Then they gently drop down the hatch like some kind of crime boss, even if they're convinced they're a bad one.
