  • Summary: Tsubasa hangs out at the Cardboard Dragon, because it's safer to be around people who can help if their father pulls anything. There, they meet So-Young! Myunghon continues to not provide minors with beers.

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

Tsubasa has been spending more time idling at the Cardboard Dragon, these days -- and if we're being specific, 'these days' means 'since July 26th or so', which is to say for about a week. They come around during the after-school block, which might seem weird, because the kids are supposed to be on school holidays by now. For the first few days there, they were getting help from people moving shit to a new place! They've also been seen studying.

And sometimes, as in now, they're just kind of vegging out playing video games on the couch.

They're definitely hard to miss. They come in with a different hair colour and style every day -- today's is magenta and green in a big shock of a mullet -- and they're wearing the Kasugayama boy's uniform wrong, with the bottom half of their top unbuttoned and tied around their waist, revealing a neon blue and black binder underneath. Their tan is so fake it's basically orange, and incredibly dark, and it doesn't quite hide the uneven skin of massive scarring across their entire right side, though they wear concealer to help cover it up more. They have regular makeup on, too, though it's hard to call it 'regular,' white and blue painted on more akin to war-paint than anything particularly pretty. It matches their blue eyes!

Also, they bring a dog with them. The dog is called Lance, and despite Lance being a boy's name, Lance is a girl dog. A Tosa Inu -- a fighting dog, though of course dogfighting is illegal in Tokyo -- who's a little scarred up herself, and more to the point, a scrawny little runt. She borks a good greeting, but she's incredibly friendly.

Lance, presently, is having a little dognap by her food and water bowls which Myunghon has thoughtfully made into a Cardboard Dragon staple.

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

So-young has had something of a... week. Disappear off for a holiday in Okinawa for a week, come back, watch someone die. You know how it goes in the cutthroat world of orchestra(??) It's a testament to her fortitude - or perhaps her sheer bloody-minded stubbornness - that she's still on her feet and moving despite that, having squirreled away the experience in the back of her head. She's repeatedly telling herself that if it weren't for them it would be two bodies rather than one.

Still, fortunately for Lance's nap, her 'bam!' through the door is rather more muted than normal, and she lets out a rough sigh as she slings her violin case over her shoulder and into her hands, swinging it back and forth a little more than an instrument case really should be swung as she steps briskly over towards the living area and more or less launches onto one side of the couch.

Her thoughts were obviously so scattered that this is the first moment she realizes she's not alone. She doesn't cry out, but her eyes are a little wide for a moment as her brain spins up to speed. The idea that someone else might be lazing around the Cardboard Dragon is not at all new to her - she's much more in tune with how the group rolls by now - but the fact she _missed someone so completely_ is enough to make her frown at herself. She's certainly not the sort to get paranoid, but it's also not the greatest of reactions either.

That concern only lasts an instant before she deliberately bolsters herself with a bright grin, nodding her head in recognition and greeting as she fishes out her violin. Several seconds to narrow her eyes at the TV screen, and she's playing quick improvized notes - trying to match the game's music on the fly. She's obviously heard the piece before, just doesn't have it in recent memory. In her concentration, she doesn't speak out loud yet, apparently quite happy to just exist here as Tsubasa's more or less complete opposite, monochrome and femme.

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

"Uh... hey?" Tsubasa offers, as an adult swans up and all but dives onto the couch next to them. So-young isn't totally unknown to them -- they've seen her around here-and-there -- but they sure as hell don't know her name. Uh. Ichika's kid sister was a fan of her?

So-young's frown is met, then, by an expression which is only a little freaked out; not so much because So-young is an unknown but just because that's a weird way to enter their space.

Maybe it has to do with that guy who died -- though of course no one would think Tsubasa knew anything about that. Phoenix was there.

        "Uh..."

She's... grabbing an instrument? She's... playing along to the BGM? Tsubasa looks from the television, back to So-young, back to the television, back to So-young. "... you doin' that by ear, or ya knew the chords already?" They ask, and musician to musician, what they're asking is whether So-young is just figuring out how to play the music by listening to it or whether she remembers the instructions.

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

The unknown violinist glances over for a moment with that same bright smile. It is obviously a little put on - she's forcing the cheer a bit, but it's less 'I am feeling miserable but hiding it stoically' and more 'I am refusing to even consider the idea of being sad, damn it' if the light in her eyes is any indication. "A little of both, actually! I used one of the tracks from this game in a concert. It wasn't this one, but I did my research." She opens her mouth-- and then clamps it shut with a frown.

"... telling you which one might be a spoiler," she realizes.

There's a pause, and evidently So-young is at least a little aware of how rattled she just made this other person, as she slows her pace down a little and lets her guitar sag away from her chin. "... I _am_ sorry for the surprise," she admits. "My mind was completely elsewhere. There was some pretty rough business a night or two ago, and frankly I'm still working through it."

"So-young," she adds, not really bothering with the surname right at this moment. "I suppose we haven't properly met, but--" It amuses her to count each fact off on her fingers, because it's still a completely ridiculous situation either way you look at it. "I am Myunghon's half-sister. Elder sister? To different fathers. ... probably? We only found out about this a couple of months ago tops. This is, somehow, not the most messy thing in my life right this moment."

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

"Oh, you play concerts an' shit? Cool." Tsubasa is much nicer about it now than they were at a concert when they were trying to act all tough and cool! "I used to play, but, uh, ain't no more."

They shrug, pausing the game and putting the controller aside on the coffee table for now. "That's cool," they say, accepting her spoiler veils. "I ain't played much games before, so, like, it's new to me." Even though Myunghon's games selection is probably charitably described as 'retro'.

Tsubasa pulls a leg up onto the couch, instead, so they can turn towards So-young more effectively. "I, uh... heard somethin' happened," they settle on, with just a ghost of a pause (as they figure out a lie). "Like -- from a friend." Smooth, Tsubasa. "You cool...?"

Another pause. "Uh, name's Tsubasa, by the way. Tsubasa Seki. Yeo-sama's helped me out a lot, so, uh... I hang around. So you're their, like, sister? Cool." And another. "... guess adults got messy shit goin' on too, huh?"

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

"Oh?" Oh no, that might have been the wrong thing to say, because So-young's practically lighting up in curiosity as Tsubasa pauses the game, her brain easily captured by this particular change in topic. "Hmm, it's always hard to tell what someone might have played in the past. I mean, you look very guitar or drums now," this is said as if it's a pure compliment, "But for all I know it might have been the flute."

The biggest indicator that So-young is not okay is that she's pausing before she speaks, but it's not like Tsubasa knows that and it's unclear if So-young even recognizes it as a habit of her own. "... I do not know, to be honest," she admits with a faint grin. "It was my first time-- seeing something like that. I've had a bit of a rough time sleeping the last couple of nights without a drink in me first, or at least an hour of wailing my feelings out on this." She pats the violin, now in her lap.

The paradox of all this is that So-young feels steadied by the idea that Myunghon surely must be used to this sort of thing, and Myunghon is steadied by trying to hold strong around So-young. Despite being new siblings, they're well on their way to awkward codependency issues!

So-young nods in recognition of Tsubasa's name, and then smirks. "Oh, like you would not believe. It only gets weirder and more messy as time goes on. We are learning to live with each other, despite being almost polar opposites. Maybe it helps that I'm stubborn as hell and refuse to leave them alone?" she playfully adds. "... still, I get the feeling they could use a few more people around them."

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

"Uh, yeah, guitar," Tsubasa shrugs, though they look a touch evasive under the scrutiny. "Bass." Is that why their voice is so gruff and growly, like they've been smoking a six pack a day for the past six years?

(No, but their dog IS bass boosted.)

They shrug, though, at her faint grin. "Heard it was, uh, a lot. Maybe, like... talk to a therapist or somethin'? Or, y'know..." Meet a bird and have all your HP healed before revealing to your best friend that actually you're all manic about it because you're secretly having the world's worst month? "... somethin' like that." Yeah, no, there's no earthly way Tsubasa can describe the way they coped with it.

"Anyway... maybe they can help you, too," because despite So-young talking like it's Myunghon who needs the support around them, Tsubasa thinks they're a pillar of the community and one of the coolest adults around despite the Man trying to keep them down. Such is the privilege of the young.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

The inner door to the Cardboard Dragon can be heard opening and shutting -- that mystery door that leads to the *THIRD* floor of the Cardboard Dragon that's usually blocked by a massive cactus called Johnny-kun. It doesn't take long for Myunghon to enter from above, dressed in... one of their oversized, cursed shirts, this one with some kind of giant burger mascot with legs and overtly cutesy eyes and doing the doki-doki pose that reads 'I AM YOUR LOVE BURGER'. And black leggings and flip-flops.

"Tsubasa-kun, is that-- oh--" Myunghon pauses, spotting the both of them on the couch. "Nuna, I didn't know you came by again." They're wheezing a little as they speak, which probably explains why they have the oversize shirt on, because getting kicked hard in the ribs has really sucked, especially when they've been neglecting the whole condition on adrenaline overnight when they first got back and had to have Shinobu wrangle them into proper treatment.

They take a moment to ensure Lance is still comfy -- dognapping! wonderful -- and then steps closer to the couch, peering at the game idly. "Oh, did you advance past that monster that was turning everyone into statues? Nice work, Tsubasa-kun." They also really have no idea about videogames, but they like getting invested in things people around them are getting into.

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

"Oh, excellent!" So-young leans back. "A good bass is a joy to listen to. I've thought about picking one up, but I never got around to it in the end, and I'm not actually very good at using a guitar. The soft twang can really enhance a piece of music, though." She plucks at her strings as she tries to emulate the sound on her violin, quick low notes, but it's really not at all the same.

"... I suppose you're right, but... where do you even start with something like that?" she asks, genuinely lost at the very idea. "I feel like therapist-patient confidentiality might go out of the window very quickly if I lead with 'good morning, I watched someone get killed by someone I'm fairly sure was a government spook and I'm feeling a bit affected by it--'"

There's a light smile on her lips as she watches Tsubasa's quiet faith in Myunghon, but before she can say anything more, Johnny rumbles as a portent of something to come. "I only just got here," she admits, craning her neck back to look in Myunghon's direction and look them over. For someone whose primary impression of Myunghon's clothing is 'shirt and trousers' or 'suddenly extremely soft librarian', she has to snort in amusement at the sight of the t-shirt, making a mental note to find some really awful ones to gift them later.

"Practice did not go particularly long today. The orchestra is back on, but a few members are still feeling shellshocked at their results, and we're still more or less on break," she smirks with relish. "So I went easy on them."

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

"Cool," Tsubasa nods, though they notably don't continue the music talk much on their part.

        (Sore subject.)

"Uh... guess so," they shrug, when So-young gives all those reasons why she can't see a therapist. "But you could like, change the details. Talk 'bout seein' some fuck get jumped by a guy. Say you reckon it were called by a dude with power an' you're scared a crossin' 'im. Don't gotta jump straight to 'I saw some fuck get killed by an assassin of the Man'. Ain't you did illegal shit you had to talk around before?" Do they do illegal shit they have to talk around?! How is this seventeen year old giving So-young advice on how to speak the unspeakable.

        And then, HEREEEE'S JOHNNY --

"Lame shirt, Yeo-sama," Tsubasa says, glancing over. (Their voice is fond, but, like, they have to give them shit about this. See also: seventeen.) They can hear the wheeze, but they don't give them shit about that.

Instead: "Yeah," they nod, when Myunghon asks about their game progress. "Now I'm in this, like, swamp or whatever, so everythins' poisonin' me, but it's like, whatever, I got a healin' spell." Not a... poison curing spell?! They're just healing the poison damage until it goes away?!

Still, So-young's some kinda, like, orchestra boss, huh... Tsubasa gleans that much, listening to her own report.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Myunghon does catch the last of what So-young was talking about, but they don't particularly want to just breach it since they're not certain how much Tsubasa is in the know, though it might not be that concealable with how much they're smarting at present. They positively feel So-young's eyes appraising them, so they promptly mumble, "... my chest still hurts a lot, so I couldn't put anything remotely tight on," still with that slight wheeze to their voice.

There's something like an indulgent grin as Tsubasa calls their shirt lame. "I think that's a slightly fonder 'lame' than the last one, though, so this one must win more points. A seven out of ten?"

They cast their one gray eye between the two of them, and makes a face as Tsubasa reports in that they're in some poison swamp now. "Reiko-san said this game is *emotional*. That I'd cry at the end. Instead we've just been turned to stone and now poisoned. Am I supposed to cry at how unfair it all is?"

Watch out, Myunghon, you're positively sounding ignorant parent-like about videogames and that's prime bullying material from teens!!

"Mmn... they have to go back to play right after their exams? Tough," Myunghon remarks, on So-young's own report on how the orchestra is doing. They're starting to root for these faraway kids now. "I'm going to make tea. Do you two want drinks?"

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

"... that hardly seems like it would narrow things down enough to be helpful," So-young grumbles as she folds her arms, but at least we are out of serious discussion of coping strategies and into more ridiculous territory. "Also, you are not going to get me to list off my sordid university days in front of Myunghon. I have a reputation to keep up as the respectful and proper elder sister."

That last statement alone suggests that perhaps we have gone into truly ridiculous territory, but So-young seems content there. It's her own coping mechanism to be as bright and loud as she can. If the idea of illegal shit bothers So-young, she definitely doesn't seem to be showing it much, but then she's been hanging around some of the Cardboard Dragon crew for a while now.

"--oh, you're around there." This is probably dangerous, because as So-young gets more comfortable she probably gets exponentially more likely to blurt something telling out. "I think you're a few tracks out from the really good bits."

"... hmm," So-young hums as she watches Myunghon move. "Just be careful. Things like that take a while to heal fully, and I know you're not the sort to just stop for a week and let it happen. They don't _have_ to," she adds, a little arch. "Some of them want to drown their sorrows in music, but I'm not going to demand it of them. Tea would be good, thank you."

"Oh-- come to think of it, I left a gift box here a couple of nights ago, hopefully they're not all gone--" she's hopped up from the couch suddenly to turn towards a shelf, fishing out a decorative paper bag she'd kind of tossed there before chasing after the others that night.

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

"Sure, sure," Tsubasa allows So-young's grumbling, all too easily. Part of them surely knows it's above their pay grade to fix the trauma of adults, so they let it go with her -- probably-not-really-a-joke about her university days.

"Eeeeehhhh, six an' a half," Tsubasa wobbles a hand on the horizontal plane, when Myunghon asks them for their lame shirt rating, though they're still joking around in their gruff way.

(They ain't gonna call attention to their chest. They wouldn't do them like that!!)

"That's 'cuz Officer Shimizu's talkin' 'bout how we went into the swamp to get th' Dewblossom what's th' only thing what can heal th' last dragon alive, an' if we fuck this up the Princess is gonna hole up cryin' forever 'cuz that thing was her only friend growin' up." Tsubasa leaps to Reiko's defence immediately, only to add, a moment later: "Not that I'm bothered by it or nothin'. It's whatever, man."

They're so tough, they would never cry about a videogame dragon. Shut up, no they didn't.

But Myunghon declares their intentions for tea, and they nod. "Sure. Got any beer?" Tsubasa always asks that, and Myunghon never has any real beer.

        Hope springs eternal...

"Don't kick your own ass too bad," they suggest, to Myunghon, on the heels of So-young's concern. (Still not paying any direct attention to Myunghon's chest.) "That's just doin' th' bastard's work for 'em."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"What? Why? I've already told you some about my own university days, I think that would only be fair," Myunghon protests to So-young keeping a tight lid over her time at uni, while they head to the kitchenette. It doesn't take them long to brew tea, though like always, they're not about to risk bringing a whole tray over when they've just taken their sling off and probably aren't doing as much rehab as they should... then, and now.

"I have soda. What flavour do you want?" Myunghon does reply to Tsubasa's preference of drink. No non-alcoholic beer this time!!

They do make a face at So-young to say, "I get the feeling you're about as careful with spoilers as you are with sensitive information. Don't ruin this for Tsubasa-kun, at least."

Because they've only been half-paying attention when they're *here* and sometimes Tsubasa's played on and they're missing context and they squint to say, "Oh no! No, yes, that is very important. Wait, that jerk with the mask is with you again. I thought he betrayed us a second time because he couldn't deal with the Princess saying no to him. I can't stand guys like him at all."

As Tsubasa and So-young both caution them, they mumble, "Being inactive for a week is not an option. Though-- nuna, I at least have some confirmation our client is in good hands now," they're trying to be ambiguous for both opsec reasons, but Tsubasa, being there, probably can tell they're talking about the surviving Hayashi sibling.

The way Tsubasa puts it does have them smiling a little more fondly. "I will be careful. Here you go." Barley tea for So-young, Barely Tea for Myunghon, and... Soda! Of a predetermined flavour of Tsubasa's choosing. Hey, getting free soda from the game store is kinda like cred...

"Oh, is the move going all right, Tsubasa-kun?" Myunghon is reminded.

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

So-young helps by helicoptering around Myunghon instead, deciding to scoop up the tray anyway after unpacking the boxes and tossing a pack of chinsuko cookies and little tarts onto a plate. She then immediately steals one of them for herself as she walks back towards the couch. (This whole process may involve the crinkling of plastic, one of the world's leading causes of Sudden Dog.)

"That's because, as the elder sister, I get to be unfair. ... though, honestly, there wasn't much crime amongst the theatre kids," she adds with an easy shrug. "Lots of interpersonal drama, and I'm pretty certain I told you my deepest, darkest secret already," So-young adds blithely. Whether she feels it rude to leave Tsubasa out of the story, or just wants to see how fun their reaction is, So-young leans in a little conspiratorially. "I got thrown out of a one night stand because I couldn't stop laughing at the guy's junk. If only, if _only_ I'd had a camera on me," she positively beams, looking not at all contrite about it.

So-young blinks as Myunghon gives her the news, and finally she feels her shoulders untense a little, something inside of her uncurling ever so slightly. "... I'm glad for that. Are they-- I hope they aren't too shaken up." She finds that she's frowning, aware of how ridiculous that sounds, how little it stands for, but she shakes her head. What's done is done, she supposes.

There is also relief in knowing that Tsubasa is a fuck-you level force for good in terms of trying to get Myunghon not to do things, and So-young files that away for later too. With how some of the Cardboard Dragon folks can get, she's sure she's going ton need some up her sleeve, especially with even Umie having stalked off dangerously. "I'll be careful! I don't know how the plot goes, exactly. All I've got are the song titles."

(This is a white lie - her research process is better than that, and besides:) "I knew a girl who was really into this game, though. Wrote her own fiction about it, pages and pages." There is no judgment in her voice whatsoever. "I remember a _lot_ of them were about the jerk in the mask."

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

"Let's go cola," Tsubasa supposes, having struck out once again on the beer that will ONE DAY be in the fridge.

Lance, of course, perks up at the sound of crinkled plastic, getting up and ambling over to WRUFF at So-young with a wagging tail. New friend???? New friend!!!!

But So-young leans over, and Tsubasa snorts. "C'mon, dude. You super deserved it." What kind of chick goes to bed with a guy then laughs non-stop at his junk!! Ichika's best friend will not STAND for this body-shaming!!! ... well, they'll still laugh about it, evidently.

(The fact is, though, they're snort-laughing in disbelief... because they're just not powerful enough to really tell So-young off about that, and this really isn't the kind of environment where they can really say it's fucked up, especially making fun of how fucked up someone's junk is to a pair of trans people. This may or may not go over her head!)

Spoilers and sensitive information... "So, what, you the bull in the china shop?" Tsubasa just, like, up and asks So-young, apparently not being much of the delicate sort themself.

To wit: "Oh, she's cool?" Tsubasa asks, before they hasten to add: "Uh, I heard what went down from my buddy Phoenix." And, well, maybe it makes sense they'd be friends with them. They did drag them out of that burning building that one time, apparently.

It's still totally cred. Tsubasa takes the soda, cracking it open. "Thanks, Yeo-sama." Glug, glug... haa!!

"It's cool," they add, after a second to take a breath. "Got my stuff hauled over pre' quick... already told my father he could quit with the old joint. Uh, an' to leave me alone. He was way pissed, but since Officer Shimizu was there, he couldn't do shit... man, oughta seen th' look on his face when she told him he couldn't even raise his voice." Tsubasa seems to get some kind of savage satisfaction from it, but it's a dire kind of way to describe one's father, isn't it?

"The jerk in the mask is like the best guy," they add. "Like, yeah, he keeps betrayin' 'em, but he's got good reasons for it."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Myunghon does pause as they look at the pack of chinsuko cookies. It reminds them that they haven't actioned using Yua's recipes for them -- it didn't look like it was out of their skill level at present, and now that So-young has some store-bought ones to use as a comparison...

"That is still pretty messed up," Myunghon does point out on the topic of So-young's one night stand, though the fire isn't really in them because their chest is hurting and chest injuries suck in a whole new way other than arm injuries. "I mean, if it was me I'd probably... I'd probably just stop trying to date altogether, or probably never get... over it."

They've probably had to think about it a lot more now that they've had some sexual experience with Tsumugi now and how much your body doesn't leave you no matter how much you wish it would, even if you had some idea of what you wanted it to look like. Which they don't, really, it's not as easy as just wanting to be at point B from point A for them! Fresh, new, massive waves of dysphoria!

Is So-young cool? Myunghon nods to Tsubasa, and says, since that ice has been broken, "Do thank them for me, will you?" It makes logical sense that Phoenix is someone Tsubasa is friends with, since, yes, they did save them from Aoba Park. "Phoenix, and the other boy that appeared too. It would've been much worse without them."

Myunghon doesn't quite answer So-young on how Hinata is doing, because even in the best case scenario, that's just not something that you just... her brother is dead and her life is changed forever. They failed her. Even when she's in safe hands, they failed her.

Tsubasa recounts the story of how Reiko was there to shut their father down, when they told him that they were going to move -- to the point where Reiko even pointed out he couldn't raise his voice. "... if he tries anything else, we'll be there, okay?" they say, with rising empathy and affirmation in their voice.

But the jerk in the mask is popular! With fanfiction... and Tsubasa points out he has great reasons too. "Mmm... maybe I should play this myself. Every time I pay attention, it's three hours in and I don't understand what's happening."

<Pose Tracker> So-young Park has posed.

So-young wastes no time in fussing over Lance, delivering a brief but heartfelt string of silly rhyming noises ('whoosa boosa woosa it's yoosa'). She doesn't have a hand free with which to check whether chinsuko cookies are safe for dogs, but woe betide that plate should she ever do so.

"Well, yes, I am aware of that now. I will be the first to admit it was not my finest moment," So-young admits with a tilt of my head. "In my defence I was much younger, and it was supposed to be laughter of joy rather than anything else, but of course the overall effect was much the same." She puts on a rather wry smile, but can't stop the mischief in her eyes. "It was my first time seeing one! So naturally I asked if he could spin it in a circle, but that didn't seem to go down very well. I hardly understood why at the time."

"That is me," So-young immediately nods to Tsubasa's statement, not at all contrite about this part at least. "I have a habit of knowing exactly what I want and how to get it, and bullheadedly flattening anything in my path towards it. ... well, so long as the things I am flattening are old crusty idiots who think a young female conductor won't get anywhere. I've recently added drunken policemen to that list as well," she adds, with rather more bravado than she had at the time.

She perks up as she listens along. She's not aware of the specifics, but the general strokes are easy to understand. "Getting to live on your own is extremely freeing," she notes with sincere relish. She never knew her father, and Myunghon's done enough to warn her away from theirs that she sees no reason to sugarcoat her feelings on the matter as she nods in approval. "Make sure you decorate, even if it's just pinning things up on the walls. The best advice I ever got was to make sure your brain registers it as 'yours'."

<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.

Lance lights up at those silly rhyming noises, volunteering her own, 'boof!!', because the humans are making NOISES and she can ALSO MAKE NOISES.

Myunghon is braver than Tsubasa is, and they look relieved, hearing them point it out more plainly. "Yeah, like... he trusted you, dude," they mutter, though they take a minute to examine the coffee table while saying it. They can't quite bring themself to appreciate her mischief, because they still hear in her tale the way she made his body into a whimsical joke.

(Probably the only reason Hajime wasn't laughing was 'cuz he wanted to get them on the hook, huh...)

Still... she says she's bullish, and they believe her, at that. So-young seems nice enough; they decide in this moment they can't trust her.

They were, notably, asking if Hinata was cool -- that is to say, not dead -- though of course it's difficult to tell with a teenager's lack of directional prompts. "I'll pass it on. Uh... sorry ya had to see all that... heard it was rough." It's awkward, as far as missives go, but they feel like they ought to say something.

"I, uh... put it in with th' Kuzunoha Agency," they add, a touch awkwardly, to Myunghon. "Jus' in case my father... tries it himself, or... whatever. Uh, not like he ain't gettin' away with everythin', but... maybe if they dig somethin' up... y'know."

They pull their leg in a touch closer to them, on the couch. "Ain't had no choice, man," they grumble, feeling a stab of unfairness that they don't get to have a home life with a family any more. "Uh, guess it's cool I can sneak a dog around, tho'... ain't got much posters from me old joint, ain't had space. Pick some up over summer, I guess... oh yeah!" Their head jerks up, as they turn to Myunghon again. "Gon' be out past Saturday, th' Boss invited me to stay with her for summer. Uh, 'cept for this week, real pain in the ass to transit from Iwatodai for my make-up exams. Already told Auntie, it's cool."

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

The rocky road in which Myunghon has known So-young has ended them admitting, perhaps a little spur of the moment, but not from *nothing*, that they find Demons easier to talk to than So-young. They're still a bit messed up that they got to that point! They don't particularly feel like pressing the point that they feel like So-young doesn't sound more aware despite her saying she is, so they drop it and raise their eyebrow as they declare with pomp and glamour how they have the habit of knowing what they want and how to get it...

        ...

That has them drifting off significantly as they start thinking about Tsumugi again, and how much of the discussion they've had has been couched under the idea of being free to take what they want, and discard what they do not. ... is this the kind of person Tsumugi wants them to be? Is So-young the kind of person they'd admire?

To have the true power to take what you desire, and be free of a guilded cage... it does... feel like a Rebellion of its own kind. That was Myunghon's own impression of So-young at the time, and it still stays.

"That much is true. Having this game console here does make it feel a little more like home, does it not?" Myunghon does sound a bit more muted, but does turn towards Tsubasa as they convey their condolences on having to... see all of that.

Myunghon thinks that they're putting on a brave, gentle face in this next moment as they nod quietly, but they've missed that their hand on the teacup's shaking. The sight of Akira Hayashi's death isn't about to be forgotten or taken off their sense of guilt anytime soon.

"It... was. But we stopped the worst-case sccenario," they appeal to logic and rationality, because they have to.

But the Kuzunoha Agency is now involved in if their father, Hanzou Seki, ever tries anything. "... I understand," they nod patiently. "I know Uchida-san, and she's someone I trust with that."

But Tsubasa has summer plans! They do perk up more genuinely, in that way that their countenance does get genuine and soft and kind, even when they don't believe it themself. "Oh, that does sound lovely! Are you two going to go somewhere on break?" That does make them wonder if Shinjiro has summer plans, now that he's back in SEES. It's strange how much summer vacation is a Big Thing for the students but... they're nothing for the adults. Their lives don't change.

There's a soft breath again after, as they rub at their diaphragm. There's an ill noise from them for a moment. "Ooh. Mm. Sorry, I might go lie down again. I think there was some paracetamol around here..."
