<Pose Tracker> Yua Ooshiro has posed.

Yua wanted to go out with everyone tonight... and she did!!

(Even if she has mixed feelings about Myunghon missing it all.)

"We're home! That was fun...!" Yua declares, as she gets out of her Outside Shoes and into her Inside Slippers. "But now I'm really tired... did you have a good time, Mimi?"

Yua can only keep so many social plates spinning in her head; she has so many good feelings, she's dropped her theatrics briefly. Don't worry, she's bound to pick them back up when she needs them.

<Pose Tracker> Miho Ijuuin has posed.

Well, almost everyone. It's fine. Miho and Myunghon will have to have cryptic conversation over drinks another time.

But they're home, and Miho also says, "We're home," at the same time. It's one of those important little rituals. Her shoes are traded, and she says, "I'm glad you had a good time."

She nods, then. "I also did. It was fun," she agrees. "I have a topic to consider in my leisure time."

She reaches to take Yua's hand, because they're inside now, and will guide her towards a comfortable place. "Couch?" she asks. "Or straight to getting ready for bath?"

<Pose Tracker> Yua Ooshiro has posed.

"Another thing to master! That's exciting!" Yua is excited for Miho, because, of course, mastering topics makes Miho happy.

"Mm... let's sit down first, okay?" Yua decides, after a moment. "I'm all charged up... if I don't empty my head, the water's going to be too much." There are bubbles! And heat! And wet hair!

And that's all fine, but sensory overload is, like, looming right there on the horizon.

She of course will settle right in beside Miho on the couch, and...

... grab her weighted blanket from where Eiko has thoughtfully folded it on the arm of the couch, tossing it over her head so that she disappears beside Miho.

Not for the first time, Yua has gone to the blanket dimension... and Miho will just get to wait there, being a convenient heartbeat-and-body-warmth-and-embracer for the next twenty minutes as she hums to herself and rocks against her.

This is normal. This is a normal thing Yua does.

And so is this: "Okay," Yua says, under her blanket. "You can come in now!"

She means throwing the blanket over Miho's head, too. ... at least it's a weighted blanket, so it's designed to be heavy, not hot.

<Pose Tracker> Miho Ijuuin has posed.

"Yes," Miho agrees. Soon, she will have a full understanding of snails. She may not be a total expert, but she will understand their anatomy, classifications, and so on. Just because she can.

"Very well," Miho answers Yua, and indeed they will sit down first. Tiger may be sleeping, because he doesn't come in immediately, but Miho watches as Yua disappears, clinging onto her and going into the Blanket Dimension bodily.

Miho will hold her in this world, and for her part, stare into nothing in particular for those twenty minutes.

For those minutes, Miho can stop pretending that she naturally has facial expressions, just for a little while.

But eventually, "I will enter," she assures Yua.

And when under the blanket:

"Hello again, Yua. Better?"

<Pose Tracker> Yua Ooshiro has posed.

There's a few reasons why Miho isn't in the Blanket Dimension while Yua is cooling down. For one: that's definitely more stimulation, not less. For another: being in different dimensions helps Miho cool off, too. Yua knows this! Well, she understands that Miho also benefits from the Blanket Dimension, anyway.

Luckily, Miho's here to anchor her so she doesn't disappear into the Blanket Dimension... forever. At least until they can disappear into it together!

"Mmhm," Yua says, looking up to Miho with a smile. "It was nice to see Recchi... I just got really excited."

She lifts herself up, a bit, so that she's more level with Miho's face. (Relatively speaking. Miho's still taller than her, even sitting down.) "Thanks for going out with me tonight... I really wanted to. I know you probably wanted to talk about what happened in a lot more detail, but I didn't want it to get too late to go out... you know?"

(Yua is really bad at judging how long a conversation is going to take.)

"But I wasn't just making it sound better in public," she says. "He really was nice to me... well, he did make me a little upset, but I think it was an accident? Since he asked about my eyepatch... you know." Yua shakes her head, still smiling. "But he wanted to know about my history, too, so I don't think he had bad intentions or anything? And he was upset when he realised it was that kind of story... he wanted to help. And he didn't stay much longer after I'd calmed down a bit... I think he wanted to give me some space, since he said he came to visit here so I'd be the boss and I could kick him out if I wanted to. So... I really get the feeling he's trying to be gentle, even though he's a little frightening... do you get that impression, Mimi?"

Yua sounds a touch unsure; she isn't as good as reading people as Miho is, so she's clearly seeking validation over her own intuition.

<Pose Tracker> Miho Ijuuin has posed.

Time to stop the effort of Expressions is important for Miho now and then; they're not quite as difficult to put on while she's on her medication, but when she's stressed, that's the first thing to crack--or to not crack, as the case may be.

But Yua answers, and Miho does not have to try very hard to smile. "It was," she agrees. "And you did. It was nice to see you so excited."

"I enjoy going out with you. ...I am interested in that discussion, but I could wait."

Yua is bad at that, and that's fine; Miho doesn't object to doing this first. But...

Hmmm. Miho thinks back to how she's seen Kimitake in before. Yua says that he made her upset, and that gets a lifted eyebrow out of Miho, but she explains it off simply enough. No bad intentions...

"It is, I suppose, normal to be upset at such a story--particularly for a public servant."

"I also have that impression," Miho says. "He can be forceful, as I can, but he is trying not to be in your case."

And if he's being all right to Yua...

Well, that makes it easier to accept the arrangement. Her father would know if something untoward were planned, after all. He knows everything.

"So... Yes, I do have that impression."

She doesn't comment that Eiko didn't send up any particularly notable red flags. Yua probably realizes that Eiko was watching. And if not, it's best not to upset her.

<Pose Tracker> Yua Ooshiro has posed.

Yua is aware that Eiko is looking out for her; she has some level of awareness that all their servants kind of have a secondary (primary???) occupational role looking out for her. She doesn't particularly think about the fact she has that protection, though; not because she's bothered by it, but just because it feels so normal.

"Mm... it's a family trait, right? Speaking forcefully... and decisively." Yua smiles, reaching up to touch Miho's cheek. "I love that about you, but other people just don't make my heart flutter like that, so it can be frightening instead of exciting... but I did get the feeling he was trying not to be so imposing to me. Kind of like Father, right...?"

Yua pauses. "... um... or should I be calling him my Uncle, now?" She asks, her brow creasing in consternation. "I'm not sure what those rules are... I don't want to offend them!!"

(Yua might be far more likely to speak out of turn to Takashi than any of Miho's blood relatives, but, well, she's trying her best.)

"I'm still kind of nervous," Yua confesses, "but Kimi-san put me more at ease... like, he said I'd only need to go over there if he was hosting someone for dinner? Or if he needed to go to a party... he said I could be here the rest of the time, since he had maids to take care of his home, and he was okay organising that kind of thing himself. And he wanted children of his own, but he said we could all raise them together, and we wouldn't have to lie to them or anything... though, um, he doesn't have anyone special like you are to me. He said men are more casual about that kind of thing...? Maybe it's been hard for him to commit to anyone up 'til now... maybe he'll be able to find someone now he has a cover story!"

It's nice that Yua is thinking of him, anyway.

<Pose Tracker> Miho Ijuuin has posed.

A family trait... "Yes," Miho says. "Though it is taught as much as it is innate; we learn to be decisive." Miho leans into Yua's hand, lightly. "Of course," she says. "...And yes. Like Father. Father is the patriarch, the Father of the clan; it is... fine, to still call him that way."

Probably.

Still nervous... Hmmm.

"Is that so?" Miho asks. "That's good. I haven't finished discussing the details of what is necessary for our arrangement with him, but I am glad that he was able to reassure you in this way." Children of his own, and... Hmm.

"Men tend to be," Miho agrees. "Not universally, but often. Many women like us also are, but I think deciding on a long-term relationship is more common."

"...It's nice, that you would think of him in this way. But perhaps he isn't looking. If he's willing to take good care of you, though, I would be glad to help look after his children as well. If they are to be yours, after all..."

Then they are hers, the logic goes.

<Pose Tracker> Yua Ooshiro has posed.

"That must be why you're all so imposing!" Yua declares, though her fingers are soft against Miho's cheek, and she doesn't pull away. "It's, like... nobility, right?" Of course she'd think that now. "Well, so long as he's okay with it... I should be married to you, anyway, so he's my Father!" Surely it's as simple as that.

"Mm," Yua nods, when Miho asks her next question. "He said he didn't want to overwhelm me with what was going to happen longer-term... I guess he was talking about how he didn't know for sure himself, either." That's logical, right? Since Miho hasn't finished discussing it. "But... he wanted to check and make sure I was okay with bearing his children and being their mother, since... he was worried last night might have put a lot of pressure on me. But... if this is what we have to do for our family, I'm okay with it, Mimi," Yua insists.

"Well, maybe he's not looking... but I don't think he's going to treat me unkindly. He said he wanted to work well with me, and... he wanted to be my friend, even though he wasn't interested in me 'that way'. Besides, this way, Hiroki will have siblings!" Yua adds, smiling. "And we'll have even more children, Mimi! I think I'd like to have a big family... it won't be too hard if you're beside me!"

Clearly, Miho's logic is also Yua's logic.

<Pose Tracker> Miho Ijuuin has posed.

Imposing! "Yes," Miho agrees without blinking. "Yes, it is." Like it, or just is? Well, don't worry about that. "It is my understanding," she says of the address, which is probably good enough.

"I'm sure he has ideas and intentions," Miho says. "It's only the details we need to settle." And of course, Miho has to do the settling. "I see, though... yes, it is good that he checked. It's true that last night did put pressure on you--on us. But if he's willing to follow up in such a way..."

It does seem to be what they have to do for their family.

"...All right. What's most important is how he treats you. If you are assured..." Then that's a relief to Miho. "'Friend' is acceptable to me. Perhaps we will reach that as well."

Siblings, and...

Miho smiles. "Good," she says. "Then that's what we'll do."

<Pose Tracker> Yua Ooshiro has posed.

Yua certainly seems to think Miho's understanding is good enough. Miho's mind is always working, after all! Nothing gets past Miho!!

(Well, as far as Yua can tell...)

But of course that means Miho has to do the settling; Miho is the one who understands people, who understands how to navigate them and find a path forward. And Yua? "I trust you," she says, because of course all Miho's settlements are dust in the wind if Yua isn't happy.

As it happens, though, Yua is very happy that Miho is willing to take care of her. If that involves Miho making the decisions... isn't that only fair?

"He didn't lie to me," Yua says. "That's what's most reassuring, I think. He admitted that his unit isn't good at saving people who get trafficked all the time... and he admitted that there's still a lot of anti-Korean sentiment in Japan, too. But he was good at figuring out what I was trying to say... he even helped me make a more plausible cover story, since he could tell right away I was telling him a story about my history." It helps that Yua outright calls it a story. Yua does not, in the slightest, realise how much she's playing her hand there. "It's a relief, since sometimes I can't get around saying something... but I can't ever tell the truth. Still, saying nothing is hard, too... he really recognised that, since he's helped victims before."

... of course Yua feels better about the story he helped her tell, right? It's more accurate. He'd know!

"I'll need your help figuring out how to act, and what to look like... since I never learned that stuff, Mimi. But I think he'll be patient with me... he has been so far!" Yua smiles, hopefully. "And you'll be right here... so I'm okay."

Yua rests her head against Miho's chest, breathing out in a soft sigh. "We'll be okay..."

At some point, Miho's going to have to get her up so they actually can take a bath.

        At some point.
