2025-12-11: Bury It
- Log: Bury It
- Cast: Tsubasa Seki, Myunghon Yeo
- Where: Cardboard Dragon, Hirasaka
- OOC Date: 2025-12-11
- IC Date: Fri, Aug 24 2012
- Summary: Tsubasa goes to Myunghon for support after their mother rings them for their birthday... but when they find them clammy and pale in the wake of their suicide attempt and the rescue they just pulled off, there's no room for Tsubasa to ask the person who promised to look after them for help. Instead, they manage the crisis as well as they can, calling Takemi to update her on the situation and ventiliating the Cardboard Dragon, encouraging Myunghon to find alternate accomodation until the fumes subside. They have no idea what they're doing, but they do what they can.
- Content warning: Suicide attempt, misgendering/deadnaming, phone calls from your abusive parents on your birthday
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
There are some numbers, when Tsubasa sees them calling, that really make their blood run cold.
They answer, anyway.
It's not as simple as shutting them all out.
"Oh, Tsubaki-chan!" And Tsubasa is used to hearing the stretched-thin-over-something-hidden voice of their mother, getting it wrong.
"Hi, mom," they answer, their own voice wound tight.
"Happy birthday...! You're eighteen, now... my special little girl's really growing up..." ... and Tsubasa is silent, as Etsuko's breath hitches over what must be tears. "Oh... won't you come home, dear? Your father's said this has gotten beyond a joke..." Tsubasa lowers the phone to look at it, hearing her speak, through the distance, "you can't stop talking to us like this! We just want to work things out... sweetie, are you there?" She can hear the way Tsubasa's shallow breathing has gotten fainter.
Until -- click.
Tsubasa ends the call with a rough finger against the end call button, and they flip their phone shut again, shoving it roughly in their pocket.
"I'm going out," is what their rough voice announces as they leave the Kawase's household, even though Ichika's mother just saw them bringing Lance back in for her morning walk not a half-hour prior.
...---...
It's mid-morning when Tsubasa arrives in the Cardboard Dragon on Friday, sans dog. They're in a bright orange tank with a little cartoon cat on it, one eye 'X'ed out in permanent marker and a scar on its opposite cheek which was also definitely added after printing. (Their jeans have also definitely been ripped on purpose.) Today's wig is magenta, cyan and yellow; their makeup, as always, is cyan and white over that incredibly fake orange tan.
As far as Tsubasa's told anyone, there's nothing particularly special about today. But never mind that -- there's blood leading up the fire-escape, and Tsubasa's amble becomes far more animated as they run up the stairs and force the door open. "Yeo-sama?!" They bark, in alarm, as they scan the room. "Yeo-sama!"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
You can in fact just stop talking to your parents! Especially when they try to murder you!! Check out how much Myunghon is... oh, Myunghon's also doing a real bad job at that. Okay, it's not as easy as it looks...
...
The Cardboard Dragon had a visitor that collapsed in a pool of blood overnight on the back lot and Myunghon had a REAAAL hard time carrying one 180cm assassin boy up by themself to the shop itself, and while they've taken the opportunity to wash the storefront, cleaning the rusted metal and concrete pavement of the back lot is far, far beyond their capability at present.
Tsubasa bursts into the scene and -- yeah it still does kinda smell like blood, and also still reeks a lot of bleach and toilet cleaner in a way that's kind of dangerous, and Myunghon's currently hunched over on the couch in a... well, a stupid t-shirt with the anthromorphic bicycle declaring they're TWO-TIRED to go, along with a white skirt and leggings and also they haven't put their binder back on.
It feels like a betrayal, still, but they're still breathing a little irregularly and their already-pale skin is looking even clammier with a pallor, the bag under their singular eye heavier than it usually is.
The damn bathroom is the source where all that stink is coming from and there's a whole wad of used-up duct tape kind of threshed to one side.
"T-Tsubasa-kun?" Myunghon calls out. "Tsubasa-kun, I'm here..." A pause, as they realise what the youth must've seen. "I'm-- okay. I'm okay, someone was injured overnight and I had to take emergency care of them..." they natter a little quickly, as if they have to get the door bolted before the proverbial horse jumps out.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Bleach. Toilet cleaner. Blood. Tape on the door.
...
Tape on the door.
"Yeo-sama!!" Tsubasa sights them and runs over; they have noticed all these other details but they're put to the side, for the moment, when they find them on the couch. They actually put a hand on their shoulder to right them up so they can look at them, an intense scowl across their face.
"Take my hand," they issue, sharply, holding it out. (Myunghon may note a relatively new burn wound, on their palm, though it's healing nicely by now.) "Get up. We're going to sit outside." It doesn't sound like a suggestion.
Tsubasa doesn't know shit about chemicals, and even they know that mixing bleach and toilet cleaner is toxic. Of course Myunghon is clammy and rambling; they're poisoned.
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon winces a little, perhaps knowing that Tsubasa would be too perceptive to not notice -- they know they're perceptive; they've seen the thread they assembled all by themself, in that safehouse, all those weeks ago. That scowl does actually pierce through and that tiredness gets shredded to something approaching terror in contrast to Tsubasa's scowl. "T-Tsubasa-kun--"
Take my hand.
There's a timidness that they think a twenty-three year old shouldn't have, but they're little more than a fragile bag of bones right now and they do notice the burn wound... which makes them hesitate to take it, and then they're outside in short order, Myunghon still trembling a little.
"I'm okay, I'm okay, Tsubasa-kun, I already called a doctor, I already... got treated..." Myunghon finds themself incapable of holding back the begging tone in their voice. Please, just be okay with it. "I'm sorry, okay? I'll be okay. I'll be okay," they keep repeating, tone fragile.
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Outside first. Questions later.
Tsubasa doesn't make them go any further from the back alley, at least. They lower them down at the foot of the stairs, and go over to crouch by the wall, diagonal to them.
"It's cool, man," they say, shaking their head, and staring forward at the alleyway instead of directly at them. "You jus' gotta get some fresh air. Ventilation's shit in there, yeah? ... you musta panicked tryin' to clean the blood up when you dragged that guy in."
That's a lie. They're doing a lie. But Myunghon is begging, and Tsubasa's not that thick. It's not... that hard for them to figure out it was a deliberate attempt, but no one bleeds this hard from their lungs being shredded.
Which means they tried to do it, then had to deal with some bag of blood crawling in and asking for help, independent-like.
Fuck.
"Nothin' to be sorry for," they say, still looking forward. "Take a minute. Get ya head clear. Shit'll make more sense when you ain't gettin' gassed. Ain't got nowhere to be."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon's independently also so proud of Tsubasa's deduction skills. They're really going to earn that private detective badge of theirs. It's a somewhat haphazard walk down the stairs because they didn't even think to put slippers on, but the fire escape isn't so dire that they're just going to have to ask Takemi to get them a TDaP shot later.
"Y-..." Myunghon pauses and they do recognise what Tsubasa's trying to do -- give them an out. A quiet pause, and they don't quite have the will to just say 'yes', so they sit quietly with the youth and take deep breaths and try to not make it sound too wheeze-y or erratic.
"... thank you for... the tip, the other day. On Hamagami, Michijima," Myunghon whispers, and it's an extremely obvious topic jump, but they also feel it's important to acknowledge. "I sent people on the case... we were able to stop them in time. They're still out there at the moment, working on the others..."
This topic change doesn't make them feel any better, they realise. So what're they doing, as their leader, while their people are working hard doing actual real good for a change?
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
Myunghon can't quite agree with Tsubasa's out; they notice that, too. Their mind's like a steel trap, and that, too, gets filed away. But, right now...
"Thanks," Tsubasa says, looking their way for a moment to nod firmly to them. "I knew you'd be able to take care a them. Woulda been too dangerous fer me to break in an' try 'n bust 'em out meself... so I really owe ya one."
They are thinking, in the back of their head: is that the right thing to say to someone who, by all their estimates, just tried to leave the mortal coil? ... but what the fuck is the right thing to say? They don't know things like this, man.
They said they'd already seen a doctor, and Tsubasa does wonder whether that's a lie, too, but... someone had to rip the tape down. Whoever did that probably called someone... huh.
So do they call someone now?
"Been a bit outta touch 'round here, since I'm on holiday," Tsubasa starts, after that awkward pause. "Hangin' out with Ichika's been great... miss how real shit is 'round here, tho'. Eh, I'll be back in a week an' change, so I bet I'll be complainin' in no time flat... but how's shit been 'round here?"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
It would've been easier to just take the out, gracefully, but that they can't quite bring themself to just do it does mean... something, to Myunghon themself. They're not quite sure what, yet. It's too difficult to untangle, unravel, with their brain clouded and weakened as they are.
There's a soft nod at Tsubasa's thanks, however, as they admit, "It would have been no safer for myself. I'm just glad we had people who had the right... skills," is the way they somewhat clumsily choose to describe 'a bunch of goons they've made restless from their lack of appetite in doing real crimes who can finally let off a bunch of steam on other goons'.
Is it the right thing to say? They're not sure. They've never answered this contradiction to themself. They desperately need to pretend to not be someone who other people can't trust won't be there tomorrow, until they... can? Their head's already hurting and it hurts more to think about.
"... nuna came by and called my doctor. Tae Takemi," Myunghon does share, perhaps feeling like they can't reassure Tsubasa enough. "Reiko-san got me in touch with her and..." A pause. "Well, I do trust them a bit more than other doctors..."
Tsubasa does start on a topic themself, and that does seem to cheer them up lightly. "I'm glad the two of you've been able to have a nice time... have you been doing much together?" A pause. They realise they don't quite know where they're spending the holiday, but perhaps it's better that they don't know, their paranoid brain thinks, in case the cops come blitzing in again. But they're going to be back in no time, since the holidays are going to end, of course.
"It's been... well, you can see it right now," Myunghon does whisper, since there's still all the bloodstains they're gonna have to hope gets scrubbed down by rain. "That person I saved was hurt by the Joker Killer too... and..." A pause. "I'm beyond certain I was visited by them as well."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Cool you knew someone," Tsubasa affirms, and if Myunghon is talking about people in their gang, well, they're not going to ask too many questions about that which a cop can beat out of them later.
Tsubasa would say that Myunghon's head is hurting on account of the bleach fumes. And Tsubasa is probably right, even if it's not a complete answer. There's a reason why they brought them outside to have this conversation!
"Takemi-sensei," Tsubasa echoes, and that's sensei in the sense of mastery, not sensei as in she's literally a teacher. The proper respect is important to Tsubasa! They pull their wallet out of their pocket, and pull a card from their wallet, and it's the same card for Takemi's clinic which Myunghon gave them last time they were in trouble. "Yeah. I remember. Mind if I give her an update?"
They won't pull their phone out until Myunghon gives them the okay, though.
They nod, looking to Myunghon, again, when she asks after Ichika. "Yeah. We, uh... figured some shit out, actually," they add, and it's just having to be responsible here that saves them from being incredibly awkward about it. "So, like, it's me an' her... but it's her an' Ryuji Sakamoto, too. We all know about it, we're cool with it. It's... been real cool, really."
It's just... when something like this happened... well, they thought they had better ask an adult, since they're so buried in Eiji's Palace, and...
Tsubasa shoves it back down and focuses up.
"The Joker Killer again, huh," they scowl, their expression stormy. "Shit. Good you're okay. What they tell ya?"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Myunghon realises that they did go to Takemi when Tsubasa was injured, back before the police kicked the door down on the safehouse next to Taeyun's, and their lack of realisation on this matter has them seriously questioning how much they've hurt themself. "Y-yes..." Myunghon answers, blinking a few times.
Do they mind if Tsubasa gives them an update?
A pang of anxiety fills their heart, like they're getting tested here, but it's fortunately truth that Myunghon is speaking. "Y-yes, go ahead. They came all the way here to give me oxygen and bronchodilators..." they mumble, breathing a little more erratically, even though they shouldn't be in trouble. Takemi shouldn't say anything... so why do they feel so scared right now?
(It really is, perhaps, that they fear they have messed up being someone Tsubasa can come to when they're worried, instead of someone they have to worry over.)
"Oh..." Myunghon pauses, as Tsubasa explains how their relationship's ended up. "I'm glad you two sorted things out... and... no, I understand that fully. Something... similar happened with me," they confess. "A month back, I confessed to being attracted to Shinobu-ssi, but she felt that she couldn't return the feelings, since she wanted it to be... casual." A slight pang in their state, head throbbing as they hope they haven't mischaracterised it.
"As a result, I wound up being with... Tsumugi a lot," Myunghon answers. "I'm quite... really attracted to them, they have a lot about themself that I feel like I want to understand. But then... well--" Wait, are they seriously going to confess this? What if Tsubasa doesn't like what they hear...
"... but recently Shinobu-ssi and I came around to... emotionally supporting each other too," is the way they put it, as they try to feel out what it is that's started between the two. "And I did talk about my interest in Tsumugi, and she seemed fine with it. ... to be honest, I think Ichika-kun was the one who gave me the idea it was possible, too. Does that sound... strange?"
No, what sounds really strange is that you're saying all this when you've tried to leave them both not long ago, comes the immediate mental chastisement.
"The more I think about it, the stranger it is that... society expects one perfect partner, for the rest of their life. Sometimes it works that way... but it rarely does for many, doesn't it?"
There's a deep frown on the topic of the Joker Killer, though. "They pretended to be someone who lived here ten years ago... or perhaps it's true. They didn't hurt me, but I understood the threat behind their words... and..."
There's a faint sigh, as they draw their phone and shows Tsubasa the picture from when 'Taka Suho' was here -- and the way the stretched, shadowy hands mask their face. "That was what was recorded on the CCTV."
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Cool." Tsubasa nods. "I'll get to that in a sec."
They just have to... figure a couple more things out, first. They're working -- they're working on it. Internally. In their head.
They don't blame Myunghon for worrying them, though.
They can listen to Myunghon while they're working on it, though. So Shinobu prefers things to be casual, just like Ichika did... but things got complicated for them since then.
"That sounds a bit like how me an' Ichika started out... but, well... I was in love with her, so... she decided she wanted it to be physical, too. Uh. Y'know, like -- normal." Tsubasa rubs at an arm, a touch awkwardly. "Ain't sound strange or nothin', tho'. Uh, not to me, anyway."
Tsubasa shakes their head, when Myunghon invokes society. "Ain't how it works, jus' gets said to tell folks they oughta stay with people what beat 'em." It's not really inconsistent with the way they've promised to stick by Ichika, they think; they've assured her that she can opt out if things get bad. Just because it's a bad assumption for a society doesn't mean it can't be a nice sentiment individually.
They lean over to look at the photo when Myunghon brings up the Joker Killer, their frown deepening. "Freaky shit. Yeah. They ain't normal."
Tsubasa will give Myunghon a moment to finish their thoughts before they stand up. "'Kay. Gimme a sec." They walk out to the entryway of the alleyway, leaning against the wall -- back turned to Myunghon, they don't really want them able to read their lips right now, which is a thing they're pretty sure they can do, they can do anything, man -- as they flip their phone open.
A short conversation follows; Tsubasa has a low register, so it's hard to pick everything up, but they're giving 'Takemi-sensei' an update on what they've found. Something about 'full sentences', a pause... 'Nah, nah,' gets invoked at some point, something about cleaning up. Something else about cleaning up, a few moments later. Asking if that's cool.
... they don't know what to do about this, huh? They're just... impossibly good at putting on a brave face and handling it.
The phone flips shut, finally, just a few minutes and a lifetime later, and Tsubasa shrugs themself off the wall to amble back to the walkway. "Takemi-sensei's just sayin' to call her up if you start feelin' worse," they settle on. "Said it's good ya got some fresh air, tho'. It's cool."
Tsubasa crouches back down, arms draped over their knees. "I'll head in there an' jam ya windows open in a bit. Start a fan up. Make sure the spills ain't still fumin'. ... ain't a disaster or nothin'."
... they probably should have asked the doctor how to handle this, like, emotionally, huh.
Fuck it, they're doing it live.
Tsubasa glances to Myunghon, sidelong, and throws out a deceptively neutral: "... you wanna talk about it?"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
"Like... 'normal'," Myunghon whispers. "How is..." A pause. "It's not very... emotional with Tsumugi, but it's not just physical either... it feels like trying to unpack... possibility," they choose to latch onto this topic because they've been stewing so much about it. "I'm so interested about everything about them, I want to know more, I can't stop thinking about them, but they don't do... emotion, as much."
"... so I'm not certain how I feel about the... physical side still," they confess. "It feels like I stop being... X-gender. There's very harsh reminders of it."
Tsubasa does go lift up to go call Takemi, and Myunghon does to their credit look away and mostly sigh and devolve into their own face. There's definitely a palpable nervousness still permeating Myunghon's entire demeanor, the way they still think they're on the hook, that this is something that needs to be handled.
They do admire the way in which Tsubasa puts on a brave face and manages it... but they're already tormenting themself with the thought that this, undoubtedly, might bleed to something like 'I need to put on a brave face because the adults in my life aren't'. That this is a very Merry way of dealing with things that they don't want others to have to put around themself.
Take them back to the day when they met and they were confidently playing parlour tricks with cards and giving them a bit of money to take to the tanning salon, please... the days when they can reassure them they can bring Lance over to dogsit. They need a do-over.
But this is reality, and also the bed they've made.
"Y-yeah," Myunghon stammers by the time Tsubasa comes back. "So-young cleaned up the worst of it last night when Takemi-sensei was there, we did open the windows for a bit..." they're wincing at the idea that they've got to go clean their mess up. This is not something they ever wanted to ask of Tsubasa.
Do they want to talk about it?
"... I'm so sorry," Myunghon finds themself a broken record again. "There aren't other words for it... ... it's..."
They glance towards the splotch of blood around them. It's hard to imagine Shiryuu was just laying there hours ago. They had to help him escape death, after So-young and Tae helped them escape death. At that point, motivation and a desire to help kicked in again, pulled them away from it...
"... would it sound like a sad excuse if I said that it feels like I'm a different me, in those moments?"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"... I don't know too much 'bout that yet." The physical side. "There's... reasons... I can't, yet. But look, however it works for you... it's cool, man. Default's for settins', not people."
Tsubasa does what they can, though, and then they come back.
"Prolly gotta be more than a bit," Tsubasa supposes, shrugging a shoulder, when Myunghon mentions how they did open the windows. "Tho' I guess that don't feel too safe, neither. Sucks. Maybe, uh... go crash at my place while the Dragon's airin' out? Ain't gon' be back 'til vacation's out, like, start a next month..."
(Tsubasa still doesn't know what's on the upper floor.)
They're trying to fix it; they don't know there's a better way to approach something like this. They thought about doing it to themself, but... seeing it in someone else? Not... really.
Still... they apologise again.
And Tsubasa doesn't let themself feel how they feel about that, right now.
"... there's a lot a shit piled on ya. You don't gotta apologise for that. Anyway, I believe you... uh, I had that kinda thought before I cheated death, too. Ain't, like... rational. Jus' want the shit to stop, yeah?"
Tsubasa keeps looking forward, though, at the far wall of the alleyway.
"Ain't your fault there's so much shit."
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
Default's for settings, not people.
... it's not a bad way of putting it, Myunghon does think.
"Mm..." Myunghon does nod at the topic of the windows, and how much it's going to take to fumigate. They're going to have to close the shop up today... should they call Shinobu? "I can do that. Auntie Taeyun would be able to help..." they ruminate. "Or I could stay with Shinobu-ssi too..."
There's a lump in their throat, still, the way Tsubasa has to direct their own attention away, while trying to have a brave, understanding tone. There is a lot of shit... and they do believe them -- before they cheated death... like they just wanted the shit to stop.
...
Myunghon does feel that incredible fright in them right now, that this is the new normal going forward, the distance that's going to exist between them.
"... I know I messed up," is what they came with next. "That's... that's the reality of what I did. That's what happens when..." They're trying so hard to not lose it and start crying because the next avaiable words is 'when you fail and people find out' but they're right there on the tip of their tongue.
"When you don't take responsibility..."
Those words, instead, come out a little cold, because that's the bludgeon all the doctors save Tae have hit them with, and, knowing what they've done now, isn't that just... truth?
"Thank you for being here, Tsubasa-kun, and... ...I understand... if you don't think I'm trustworthy anymore after this." Those sobs do start coming out, they can't hold them back anymore. "I did... I still do want the best for you, for Ichika, for everyone here, it's not like I've ever been lying about that... oh--"
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"Yeah. She'll," know what to do, "help ya." Tsubasa... really wishes Auntie were here now, to be honest.
... but she isn't. It's just them. Here's where the buck stops.
Myunghon isn't the only one trying not to lose it, though.
Tsubasa listens to Myunghon saying they messed up -- that they didn't take responsibility. (The problem is that they did, Tsubasa thinks, sharply, before they cram it all down again.) They are quiet, for a long moment; their lips press tightly together. They take a breath, in through the nose, out through the nose again because the steel trap's their mouth right now and it's very much shut.
"When I asked if anyone were nice to you," when Tsubasa, in tears, begged Myunghon to look after them, "you said it was a work in progress. Wouldn't do no good if I fucked the progress." And they're still keeping their tone quite level, all in all.
They suppose that's why they assured them we would. They should have read between the lines. They're supposed to be sharp.
"Ain't about responsibility, tho'. Ain't about nothin'. You're just in pain. Prolly so much pain I can't even get me head around it. But, look... right now, you don't understand shit. You're hurtin'. Jus'... let people help. Yeah?"
Tsubasa reaches over, clapping a hand on Myunghon's shoulder; they can't quite manage a reassuring expression, right now, but they look them in the eye regardless. "C'mon. You gon' be cool while I go clear the joint out?"
<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.
We won't. We're here for you, Tsubasa-kun. Every step of the way.
You're so nice to me.
You ever had anyone like that...?
... it's a work in progress.
The words do resonate very strongly, because right now they're very much in the vulnerable space where they're looking at their strongest moments like they were an alien that's been cast out from their body for their weakness, pawing at it from behind a translucent glass pane.
On that day, when they convinced Tsubasa that there was no danger underneath, were they hedging their bets when they said 'we'?
They remember the question making them frightened. To have anyone nice to them would mean to hurt them when this, this, inevitably happened. And that's always been the eternal paradox with them. Do they convince themself and everyone that they're only here for a short time and they shouldn't waste their breath on them, or do they... you know... reach out, try to fix themself, their heart, try to have some support, cry out for help...
Even in their emotionally shattered state, they do notice the way Tsubasa has to exert a lot to compose themselves. They know there's words they know they shouldn't share there. It doesn't take much imagination to know what's behind 'wouldn't do no good if I fucked the progress'.
That they can't know what it is will have them guessing and inventing worse 'what-ifs' for a while. That's just what the paranoid brain does, doesn't it?
But Myunghon is in no position to deny any of the feelings Tsubasa has here either, so there's a mute, almost listless nod. But Tsubasa does get to to speaking about -- how it isn't about responsibility (it feels so much like it)... they're in pain. Yes, that is correct... so much pain they can't get their head around it? Tsubasa's been through so much in just the last few months they can't imagine they wouldn't qualify as someone who...
No, it's not about comparisons, about stacking up pain like they're coins on a scale.
That Tsubasa can at least look them in the eye does force them to reckon with what it is they want her to do.
"... I will. I'll call Shinobu-ssi," they affirm. They're scared it'll ring hollow. "I'll call Takemi-sensei if I feel like I'm a danger to myself again... I'm... I'm cool... just... tired."
Like the bicycle, Myunghon feels too tired to do much of anything right now...
<Pose Tracker> Tsubasa Seki has posed.
"It's okay to be tired, Yeo-sama," Tsubasa says. "You been through a lot. Sorry I ain't..." A pause; they trail off, and shake their head. "Nah. Bad example apologisin' when I tellin' you not to."
What could they even apologise for? Not knowing what to do here? Not being able to fix it? ... not being worth sticking around for? No. All of those feelings can just go straight into a little box they'll unpack later, when Myunghon isn't actively in crisis.
... right now, they do kind of have to be the adult. There's no one else here.
They'd feel... even worse if they said the thing that made Myunghon really do it.
(They'll wonder, later, whether disappearing to Iwatodai contributed to them trying to really do it to begin with.)
"You're... important to me."
Tsubasa breathes out, as they heft themself back up. "Aight. I'll be back out. Jus' chill a bit." They squeeze past them on the stairs, climbing back up into the Cardboard Dragon; their lungs are already fucked, they think, so a little more won't hurt. Jam the windows open with books or whatever else they can grab; see if there's a fan around, put it in front of one of those windows so it can pull in the fresh air, turn it on full blast. Open up the bathroom -- ugh, fuck, the bathroom -- try not to throw up making sure all the cleaning supplies are properly mopped up and not still gassing off. Same goes for the main floor -- check for bleach spills.
It takes a little while; they're not very talkative when they get out.
But they at least stick around until a real adult shows up.
... it's more consideration than they've shown most adults, but it's about making sure Myunghon's safe.
