(|===================== Central Street - Big Bang Burger =====================|)
-====================================================== Tokyo/Shibuya Ward ====-
Look out, WcDonald's: space-themed fast food chain Big Bang Burger is here to
take over the galaxy with its flashy venues, delicious menu items and unbeatable
prices! Just look at that cartoon-eyed Burger-kun mascot happily soaring through
the universe! The location on Shibuya's Central Street is even flashier than
most; it takes ruthless advantage of its size to have an three-layer light-up
steel entrance under its bright red sign, bringing to mind moving through
several airlocks before finally entering the pneumatic doors.
Inside, a cheery marching band-style jingle plays on loop, and the worker at the
counter just as cheerily welcomes you to Big Bang Burger, which is "open
twenty-four hours a day because there's no day or night in space!" You can order
your meals for there or to go, though the sit-down menu is more expansive. The
to-go menu will still let you order seasonal items like the spring-only Earth
Burger, full of veggies for a probably healthy bite, or the autumn-only Moon
Burger, topped with a fried egg, or perennial favorites like mainline item Big
Bang Burger, Saturn Fries (a potato with onion rings like Saturn), or Venus
Salad (a fruit salad fit for a goddess).
Sit down, though, and you can take on the Big Bang Challenge, a contest where
one can attempt to take on three levels of increasingly enormous burgers, one
per visit, to take home fine prizes--/if/ you can do it before the time limit.
It is (g)astronomically difficult and gets more expensive with each level, but
at least it's discounted to only 500 yen at night.

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
Evening in Shibuya means crowds.
Hana Fukami has been out and about on Central Street though, and now she's hungry. So it is that she's just ordered at the counter at Big Bang Burger, having decided to get something low-key on her way home. She already let her planned company know she'd be a little late.
The jingle is cheery; Hana's tray is now full of food, her bank account just slightly less hefty. And...
There is almost nowhere to sit!! Hana looks a little disappointed as she realizes she might have to take this to go instead of finally having a seat for a bit, walking around to look for--
Well. There might be someone with a spare spot!
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
Evening falls - and that means dinnertime. People flock to restaurants to get a bite to eat after a long day. Shinobu is no different. She's far away from home tonight, which means she has to find another way to feed herself. She's not the type for someplace fancy, and her usual places either close early or are only open way later... so today, that means dinner at one of Tokyo's biggest fast food stops.
By the time Hana arrives, Shinobu is already seated. She has a burger, fries, and a shake on her tray. She's working on the fries now while occasionally sipping idly at her shake. There's a lot of people here... She scans the crowd - and in the process, happens to see someone who seems to be having trouble finding a spot.
It's so packed, that's no surprise... And so, Shinobu sets down her shake, raising a hand to offer Hana a wave.
"Hey, over here. I've got a free spot, so long as you don't mind sharing a table with a stranger." She offers.
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
Hana's tray has a Big Bang Burger, fries, and a drink! And that tray wobbles a little as Hana looks around only to spot--
"Really?" Hana confirms, "Well, if it's no imposition..."
She does have to confirm that part, just to be polite--but once she does, she takes a seat across from Shinobu and exhales. "Whew. I didn't really want to get back out there without eating first," she admits.
Then she smiles. "Thank you. My name's Hana Fukami. What's yours?"
Hana has a TV show! ...But it's really more Ayame's style than Shinobu's, admittedly.
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
"Nah, not at all." Shinobu replies with a dismissive wave. "No more of an imposition than standing around with nowhere to eat, right?"
Hana takes a seat, and Shinobu offers her a smile.
"Can't blame you there. Tokyo's hell to get around at this hour, especially on an empty stomach." She sympathises. Hana introduces herself, then. Hana Fukami... Does she recognize that name? Maybe in passing, off of Ayame's TV... but nothing comes immediately to mind.
"Shinobu Shimizu." She offers with a nod. "Nice to meet you."
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
"Thanks again," Hana answers, and smiles back this time.
"Exactly," Hana says. "And parking is a long way off..."
"Nice to meet you, Shimizu-san!"
Then she lets out the breath she feels like she's been holding. "Itadakimasu," she says, and picks up her burger. "Excuse me," she says, and takes a small bite. She's very... polite!
But after a few moments...
"If you prefer to sit in quiet, that's fine," she says, "But I think it's a nice chance to meet someone new, this way. So what do you do?" For work, presumably.
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
"Yeah, that's a hassle." She replies. She walked, herself - but that doesn't mean she can't empathise. Hana returns her greeting and Shinobu nods again.
She notes how polite Hana is. Whereas she's the type to just dig right in...
"Nah. Actually, I appreciate the company." She assures. "So yeah, it's a nice opportunity!"
As for what she does... Shinobu 'hm's to herself as she thinks on how to describe it, finishing off a few fries.
"I do a bit of everything, I guess? I'm something of an errand girl, I take work where I can get it." Shinobu replies with a shrug. "Deliveries, heavy lifting, repair work... That kind of thing."
She nods to Hana.
"How about you? What do you do?" She asks.
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
Hana's smile warms as Shinobu says she appreciates the company. "Oh, good. Me, too. I love meeting new people," she says.
A bit of everything! "Oh!" Now, some people might decide that was awkward--but Hana smoothly navigates to, "That must be exciting, always getting to try new things or at least in new places."
Hana takes another bite as she listens to the question in turn, and then once she's chewed, "I'm in television!" she says, and doesn't immediately launch into what she does in TV because that would be bragging. "So you might say that meeting new people is part of my job as it is!"
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
"I do, too." Shinobu agrees. It is sometimes awkward explaining what she does - but Hana reacts to it well, and that makes things go a lot more smoothly.
"Definitely. Keeps things fresh, and it gives me a lot of opportunities to meet and work with new people and pick up new skills, so it's never boring." She agrees. ...It's not the most lucrative or secure work out there, but she's not going to complain about funds to someone she just met.
She listens, then, as Hana explains what she does.
"Television, huh?" She remarks with interest. "That's pretty cool. Yeah, I bet that would give you a lot of good opportunities to meet new people. See new things, too. What kind of shows do you do?"
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
"Exciting!" Hana agrees, when Shinobu says it's never boring. Of course, Hana would never bring up funds in a situation like this--it would be terribly rude--but she can focus on the upsides of such work without too much trouble. "You must have a lot of interesting stories."
Hana eats a fry!
"Well, I've had a couple of roles in dramas," she says, "But most of what I do is our talk show. We keep housewives company during their day, and interview all sorts of people. It's very rewarding work."
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
"I've certainly got a few." Shinobu confirms. "You wouldn't believe some of the stuff that goes down."
...She pauses for a moment, and chuckles.
"...Well, maybe you would, actually." She works on television. She can only imagine some of the absurd stories Hana has heard in her time.
She listens as Hana explains - she's had a couple of drama roles, but what she mostly does is her talk show. Shinobu nods thoughtfully. So meeting new people really is part of her job.
"I bet. Sounds like a great opportunity for you - you get to meet new people, and keep folks entertained who could really use it. Win-win." Shinobu comments with a nod. "I bet my sister'd love your show."
She says it fondly - it might not be her kind of show, but it's clear she doesn't look down on it.
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
Hana laughs softly. "I might," she agrees. "I've seen quite a few stories..."
"It's great," Hana replies brightly. "I do want to do more acting," she says, "But the way television can reach people in nonfiction, too, is really special. So as you say--it's win-win!"
Her sister... Hana smiles. "I hope she does, then. You sound like you get along well. ...I have four brothers, myself. It's nice to have family, isn't it?"
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
Shinobu smirks, as Hana confirms.
Acting and non-fiction... Shinobu nods along.
"Yeah. That's a whole different kind of experience, I bet..." She considers. "Who knows? Maybe your work'll put you in a good position to get more acting gigs. Until then... you've got something else good going, too."
Family... Shinobu smiles.
"Yeah, we really do. I've got two sisters, myself... Even now, we're still pretty tight-knit. Must be the same for you? " She replies - and then laughs a bit sheepishly, massaging the back of her neck. "...Yeah, it really is. I owe a lot to their support, dunno where I'd be without them."
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
"That would be wonderful," Hana says. "That's often how show business is--getting your foot in the door in the first place is one of the hardest parts. Don't tell anyone, though." She winks.
"But I do. I love our show."
And they're close! Two sisters... "Yes," Hana answers. "Well, I don't see them all as much as I'd like, but I get to see my older brothers and their wives quite a bit. Then Seiya-kun's in university, and Kouya-kun's off traveling..."
It's like that.
Hana seems happy to hear it, though. "I feel the same. I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am without them."
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
Hana winks, and Shinobu laughs.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." She replies, with a conspiratorial wink of her own. She nods, then. "Always good when you love what you do."
Hana reminisces about her own family. Shinobu nods sympathetically.
"I get that. My sisters are close enough that it's easy enough to take a trip, but... we've all got our own stuff going on so we can't always meet up whenever we want, too. That's just life, though, I guess." She shrugs, and then smiles when Hana echoes the sentiment. "Guess that makes us both pretty lucky."
<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.
Hana likes Shinobu so far. She seems like a fun person, and she was nice enough to invite Hana to sit with her so she wouldn't have to just go.
"Oh? That's great," Hana says of Shinobu's sisters. "But so it goes for adults. It's just how life is," she agrees. "I makes it more important to appreciate the time we have."
Hana beams back. "So it does! Then, we'll just have to be the lucky table for now."
<Pose Tracker> Shinobu Shimizu has posed.
"So it goes." Shinobu echoes with a nod. Appreciate the time we have... She thinks it over for a moment. "Yeah... That really is key, isn't it?"
Hana declares this the lucky table, and Shinobu laughs.
"I like that! Yeah, that sounds great to me."
