(|================================= Aoba Way =================================|)
-=================================================== Sumaru City/Aoba Ward ====-
Ample shopping can be found at the stores that dot Aoba Way, but not just the
normal kind. Aside from a door to the Velvet Room for Persona Users, one can
hear and spread all kinds of rumors at Kuzunoha Detective Agency. At the
internet cafe Double Slash, one can surf on the web to find some of those very
rumors *and* munch on various snacks served at the back bar by an apathetic
teenage boy. The blue carpeting and wall-to-wall aquariums lend the place a
relaxing atmosphere.

The bar Parabellum has a more noir vibe, with a mostly wooden interior, brown
leather seats, green glass lamps, and brick pillars along the walls. The elderly
barkeeper offers a number of unique mixed drinks, all named after weapons...
which might be a clever cover for the fact that, according to rumor, he sells
*real* weapons. The fashion boutique Rosa Candida offers the latest in trends
and (per rumor) armor, its decor stark yet stylish, with clothes and bags alike
on display for customers along the walls and on a central table. A pair of
changing rooms are naturally available; to use them, just get the permission of
the saleswoman in red first.

Etheria offers spa treatments to the weary among bright lamps, stained glass
windows, off-white decor, and an esthetician with a giant blue crystal crown.
The name of the place fuses "ether" and "materia," and the treatments are
effective: those who use this spa walk away feeling refreshed in mind and body.

And, of course, it's not Sumaru City without a local Satomi Tadashi Pharmacy
branch. This one looks the same as all the others: aisles and walls laden with
medicine of all kinds, overseen from the back counter where magazines are
available by one of seven identical sisters. Satomi Sister #1 runs this one; an
English-language piano version of the store's theme plays here. "Always in the
side of those who fight: our local... drug store~ o/`"

The actual New Year's Day may have passed already, andmany businesses may have shut down in response to the holiday or, additionally, the bank holiday that is still ongoing, but just as many places are still open to cater to those who are on holiday, travelling, or celebrating.

And despite the shock Remi received a couple of days ago... she still needs to support herself. Her work at La Chat Maron in Tokyo was a useful distraction from her woes, but as she arrived back in Sumaru by train, she received another one.

A text from a new acquaintance, asking to meet, who happened to be in Sumaru already.

A quick confirmation and a detour from her original destination, Remi was stepping into the Parabellum. She's (overly) bundled up for the cold, of course, though she loosens her green scarf as she steps in and looks around. Spotting an empty table in the corner, she goes to grab it as she waits for Hana to show up.

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

Hana spent the morning working, the afternoon with Yua, and now the early evening she's going to meet someone while she's in Sumaru! Parabellum at Aoba Way is not so distance from where she was just then, so Hana makes her way over after having texted Remi. Now that she's had a chance to think about her name...

Well. Hana's in pink, as usual, and she glances around the bar to spot--there she is. With that, the TV 'personality' walks over with a smile, taking off her own overcoat to set on the booth beside her.

Hello, Ryuuja-san," Remi greets warmly. "I think I have you at a disadvantage today!"

sShe smiles. "But I'll tell you that in a moment--how are you doing? Do you know if you got that part?"

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Remi herself is in blacks with a green cardigan, as is her usual style, though she has an extra black coat on over the cardigan. (Sadly, she's still shivering some, but it's not so bad now that she's indoors.)

She smiles and stands to greet Hana when she walks over, "Ahh, Fukami-san, so wonderful to see you." She looks surprised, and looks at Hana curiously. "Oh? Pray, dear, do tell. But please, have a seat. What would you like to start?"

She sits again, as well, and gives a rueful shake of her head. "Sadly, it appears not. But otherwise I am doing... well enough." No, she's still deeply troubled by her reunion with her family, but that isn't something to share with a near-stranger. "But I am still gainfully employed--I'm just getting back in from Tokyo, in fact, so your text reached me at a good time."

She leans back in her seat. "But tell me dear, how have you been? Oh, and Happy New Year, of course."

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

Some people don't handle the cold well! ...But it really is kind of noticeable. Hana is too polite to comment on it yet, at least.

"Likewise," Hana says. "Hmmm, I don't think I need a gun today," she jokes, because of course the rumors about this place are just rumors, "I think I'll just get a soda to start--I have to decide if I'm up to start drinking before I go home..."

She does sit, and gives a sympathetic look. "Unfortunate. But, I'm glad you're doing well otherwise. --Oh! Well, good to know. I of coursse live in Shinjuku."

"Happy New Year! I've been quite well. And..."

She says, "This isn't the second time we've met! I wondered about your face, and then I was able to place your name. You were in Seven Sisters' theatre program in high school, weren't you?"

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

As Remi said last time, she has a regrettable medical condition that causes poor blood circulation. (Though, this didn't seem to be a problem four years ago...)

Remi chuckles good-naturedly, "Of course not. Who would even think to buy such a thing?" She knows that the rumors are not, in fact, rumors. But that's fine. "Soda it is, then. I suppose I may as well join you in that." Ordering their drinks will be a simple and quick afair, and Remi will also start pondering food options.

"I see, I see. I happen to live in Aoba, not terribly far from here. Though one of the places I work is in Akihabara."

She regards Hana curiously, as she makes a guess--except it isn't, is it?--about attending Sevens. "Why, yes. That is correct." She frowns thoughtfully as she studies Hana. "I like to believe I've a good eye for faces, dear, but I'm afraid you really do have me at a disadvantage, then..."

Is there something familiar...? No, sue's not sure. But she was away from the rest of the world for quite some time...

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

Oh yes.

"Right?" Soda! But Hana did drive...

"Oh, yes? That's handy, then." Akihabara... "May I ask what you do?" Hana inquires.

Then, it isn't a guess at all. Hana smiles. "And therein lies the disadvantage," she says. "I looked... very different, back then. And I went by a different name."

"Perhaps you'd remember a nice boy by the name of Touri? I was your upperclassman at the time. I remember your choice of performancse were very distinct."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Remi knows how to drive, but doesn't ahve personal access to a car at the moment. It's fine. "It is at this venue called La Chat Maron. I am one of the servers there." That is, noticeably, a butler cafe.

But as for the disadvantage, when Hana says she looked very different, and went by a different name, something clicks for Remi. "Ah! I believe I see what you are driving at."

Touri... it takes Remi a moment, casting her memory back. But armed with that knowledge, and of her being an upperclassman, now Remi can connect the face. "Ah, yes! You were in... Gekkoukan's Drama Club, were you not? Well, darling, it is certainly unexpected to see you again. And you look... positively stunning." There are other, stronger words she could use, but she's trying to stay positive yet polite.

There is a quiet chuckle as Hana mentions her choice of performances. "Well, thank you dear, I did rather enjoy making a strong statement with my acting, when I could."

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Oh, how lovely," Hana answers. "You must be very dashing in uniform. Maybe I can come by sometime with a friend." She's heard of it, conveniently enough. She doesn't go such places often, but she does know someone who might enjoy it...

Hana smiles; unlike some, she doesn't particularly have issue with her old presentation... and while she might be more inclined to keep it to herself, publicity has made that impossible. "Thank you!" Hana answers, and there are little flowers over her head. Stunning is a neutral word, in some ways, ,but very good in others.

"I was, yes. And you're welcome; you were very bold. That stuck with me."

"Well, now that we're re-introduced..."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Remi smiles warmly. "I do like to think so... perhaps, if I am on duty, you and your friend can request my service and find out for yourself? I must confess, it does scratch the acting itch in some ways..."

She smiles a little more when she sees Hana's reaction. She meant it in very positive terms, and is glad to see it received as such. "You are quite welcome."

Depending on how far back Hana's memory goes, she may remember, when Remi was a second year, she performed as Oberon, opposite Yua as Titania. And of course, her stint as Romeo in her third year, had some very electric chemistry opposite her Juliet...

It was the source of not a few rumors about them, all of which they publicly denied. (Many of them just so happened to be true, however.)

"Why thank you, that means a lot to me to hear. And I, in turn, was quite fond of your performances. Oh, I shall ahve to catch up on what you've been up to."

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"That's a great plan," Hana agrees. "I'm sure it does! It must require a lot of improvisational skill, too."

But she smiles again--and then, well... her memory only goes so far back. Mostly because she hasn't registered that Yua was involved in one of the performances; she may have missed that one, or just hasn't put it together yet. Still...

"It's funny," she says. "...We could've been better friends back then, if we'd been at the same school." She ventures it, because she only has rumors of Remi being someone who loves women, but she was certainly self-identified as gay back then, herself.

"I've had a couple of roles on television," Hana says, "But right now, I just have the show. I'm hoping to do more acting, though..."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"Then, feel free to text me, and perhaps we can make an arrangement," Remi offers. "Oh it most certainly does. I must admit, it did take me some time to fully get into the spirit of things, but I like to think I have adapted admirably enough. But it is certainly a different challenge from what I am used to. Though an enjoyable one."

That's fine. Perhaps it will come up another time.

But better friends, if... "Oh, do you think? Well, I certainly imagine so, if we were schoolmates and fellow Drama Club members..." She trails off and looks at Hana thoughtfully. What she said isn't untrue, but... "... or did you have something else in mind, perhaps?"

"Well good for you, dear. And I certainly hope you get that chnce to do more acting. Perhaps, with the success of your show, you will be able to write your own ticket?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Wonderful. I'll do that. Her name is Miyako; she's a close friend." And soon, housemate! ...Well, not yet. But soon! "That makes sense; it's a set of skills that you had to develop, distinct from conventional stagecraft." A beat, "I'm glad it's fun. I did similar for a couple of projects in university, but never for very long; just once-offs."

And... Schoolmates, Drama Club members, and... "Well, I'm presuming too much," Hana admits. "But if there was any truth to the rumors about you and your Juliet..." She elides just what those rumors were, "Which I heard about after I graduated, well We had a few other things in common, too." Gaaaay.

And she smiles. "Hopefully," she says, though she looks troubled. '...If..."

She shakes her head. "Well, nevermind, I shouldn't call dwon gloom. I hope so, is all."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"Miyako. Then, I shall look forward to your visit." Remi doesn't know about the housemate situation. She's silent for a split second at the mention of university. Right, Hana would have gone on to study acting.

Unlike Remi, whose scholastic career was cut suddenly short. And she'd taken... a different path.

"Well, I suppose I am just... enjoying the change of pace," she says, though she doesn't offer any details of what that change is from yet.

"Ah, thse rumors." Remi remembers them well. Though she doesn't seem troubled by them. More... amused. "I do remember those well."

In some ways, they feel like they happened only yesterday, since they came from a time shortly before she was abducted.

But if there was any truth to them... then they had a few other things in common. Remi's eyebrows both lift slightly, as she catches the implication, and she pauses to study Hana for a moment. It feels like such a risky thing to admit, but hasn't Hana all but admitted it, herself?

"... is that so?" she says quietly as she takes a careful sip. "Well, they do say some rumors carry a kernel of truth."

She catches the troubled look, and sets her class down. "Is anything the matter, dear?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Great."

A change of pace... Hana hasn't asked, of course. Instead she says, "That's lovely, then."

But indeed--those rumors. She remembers them, and was amused by them. Hana tilts hr head lightly, tapping perfect fingernails on the table. Did shemisjudge?

"Hmm. I see," Hana says. "Well, if you ever want to discuss kernels," she says, "Do let me know. ...I can tell you about my boyfriend sometime, too."

If Remi knows she was 'Touri', and has a boyfriend now, well... That might make it more of an admission on Hana's part still.

"Oh, nothing," Hana demurs. "I just have... someone in my life trying to discourage me. It's nothing to worry about; we alll have people who don't want us to succeed, don't we?"

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Hana considers the offer, studying Hana for a few moments longer as she mentions her boyfriend. Remi did know her back then, and if she is bothering to make it a point to mention him now, in relation to those rumors...

"... I see." She swirls the soda in her glass for a moment as she stares down into it. "I may be willing to discuss kernels, though... you will understand if I wish to protect the confidence of my 'Juliet', yes?" She looks up to Hana again. "... I had a boyfriend or two in high school, whom I also felt quite strongly for."

That's her quiet admission to her own personal truth.

Peop,e who don't want them to succeed. "Mm. Regrettably, I fear that may be true." Though Remi can hardly imagine it rises to the same level as the NWO. "But I am quite certain you can preservere."

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"It can be somewhere more private," Hana assures Remi. "Not that I think this place is a bad venue for talking, of course. It's lovely. I really like the ambiance."

"But of course; she's not here, there's no need to gossip," Hana assures Remi. She smiles back. "We're the same in that way, then." She's had girlfriends, too, after all. "It's nice to meet people who are... like-minded, now and then."

But, "Mm. Then you undersstand. ...Thank you. You, too!"

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"Oh, I have no fear of us being listened upon," Remi reassures Hana. "I simply did not wish to... well." Remi smiles sadly. "... it has been some time, since she and I last saw each other. I would not wish to be a disruption to her life as it is now, that is all." It's not too hard to look up who played Juliet, of course, but Remi has no desire to reenter Honoka Wasa's life.

There is a brief look of surprise, as Hana admits that they're the same, at least in that way, before it settles again. "I see. Then... it is nice to finally make your acquaintance in that regard as well. I must confess, it is not something I normally wish to advertise... outside of a few close friends of mine, you are the only person I have shared that with."

"And thank you," Remi says with a slight lift of her glass, as Hana offers her thanks. "What kinds of roles would you would you like to tackle?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Ahhh. ...No, that's fair; I won't seek her out or anything like that, don't worry." She might be living that way now... or not, and she put it behind her. who knows?

But for now, Hana answers, "Of course. It's not something people are..." She considers. "Easy about," she settles on. "I'm honored that you felt you could, even if I pushed a bit."

Pause. "But it's not exactly something I can talk about publicly, either; a woman in my position can't really deviate too much from expectation..."

And be into women, too.

But, "You're welcome. And--dramatic roles, ideally. My agent finds it easy to get humorous roles for me, but it's the drama I really want. Period pieces might be nice; modern shows, too. Anything where I can show some range."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Remi seems to relax some, as Hana promises that. "Thank you for understanding, dear. Wherever she is now, I hope she is doing well for herself."

Not easy about. Remi nods, taking another sip of her drink. "Certainly not," she admits. "And while I will admit to a certin... thrill in causing speculation, both of us had families we had to be careful to protect." She shakes her head. "Not at all. If you hadn't offered that gesture first, I may not have come out with t at all. And besides, I did not admit anything I was not willing to share."

Expectations... "No, I suppose not. An unfortunate thing, that."

"The goal of any actress, is it not? To show off their range?" Remi says. "But I do hope you are able to find such a thing someday. I should be curious to see that range of yours."

She looks at her soda for a moment, swirling it around in her glass. "I feel as if I want something stiffer to loosen my tongue a bit." She offers Hana a smile. "But I do hate to drink alone. Perhaps I could buy you a drink, to match?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Yes."

But, "...Mm, yes. Kids like a little trouble, right? ...That makes sense, though. I was lucky; my family was supportive. Well, is supportive." But then she smiles. "Good, then."

But while it is unfortunate... "Yes," Hana says. "A woman like me... they expect me to be funny. They don't expect me to be emotionally affecting. And that's what I want."

"I apprecaite it!" Then she waits a beat, and smiles. "...Sure," Hana says after a moment. "I don't have to be back for a bit yet."

"Surprise me."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"I suppose that's true... but honestly..." Remi mulls it over in her head for a moment. "... I knew my parents had certain expectations of me. I think we had... an understanding. I could do what I wished in high school, as long as I was ready to meet those expectations upon graduating. It would not surprise me if they knew of my Juliet, but... we never discussed it."

She shrugs it off. Nowadays... she doesn't know what the score with her parents is. That's something she's still unpacking.

"What a dreadful thing, to be locked into one kind of role. But I understand, to some degree. I do not expect to easily find roles for women with stage combat..."

But Hana accepts the offer, and Remi smiles warmly before standing up. "Then, I shall return shortly." And when she does, it is with two mixed drinks, and an appetizer platter for them to share. She sets it down and takes her seat again. "There we are. I hope it's to your liking?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

Honestly? Hmm. Honesty can be dangerous. "I see..." Hana frowns ins ympathy. "'You'll grow out of it', mm? I understand. That's unfortunate."

Now, who knows? Parents can be difficult.

"True. Fewer women get to play out the battles of the world--but not none! You have hope for it." She smiles.

And then, drinks. "Oh, this looks lovely," Hana answers. "it is!"

"It's nice, to make a new-old friend."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Remi inclines her head. "Mmm... yes, something of the sort, I suppose. As I said, we never really discussed it." Remi does come from a pretty wealthy family, and it wasn't a secret... though she hasn't exactly been advertising those ties lately, it might be possible Hana knew of it from back then.

Remi smiles. "I suppose that is true... I will strive to hold onto that hope."

After she returns, she takes a sip of her drink. "I'm glad." She raises her glass. "Indeed. To friendships both old and new."

Afterwards, she'll take a sip. "Oh, interesting..." She considers the taste. "... I could get used to this. Mostly I am used to drinking wine." She leans back after picking something from the platter. "So then... do you recall, how I mentioned The Three Musketeers?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

Hana can guess. She doesn't need to know all the details. But Remi will hold onto hope, and that is nice. That is good.

Hana takes a sip, too, and raises her glass in turn at the toast, echoing it with her motion.

Then, "It is nice--I like cocktails," she says. "They're all so different... But still do the trick." She laughs faintly, and then takes a bite.

"I do," she says. "What about them?"

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"I must admit, this is my first cocktail, but I could be quite fond of it... and that's true, they come in such a variety, as well." But then again, so do wines. "Perhaps if we do this again, I shall have to ask you for a recommendation."

She takes a longer sip of her drink. "Ahh... perhaps I share too much, but... I grew up on stories like those. Tales of action, and adventure, of derring-do. And in many of them, the dashing hero rescues the beautiful damsel. And sometimes I would imagine myself as the damsel... but just as often I would imagine myself as the one saving the damsel. A childish notion, of course, but... one I have never found myself able to let go of."

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Oh, really? Well, how fun! I'd be happy to recommend you something later." She smiles. Wine is nice--she has no complaints with it--but when she goes out to a bar, well... There are other things she tends to like.

Hana siips her own, and listens while snacking a little. "Ohhh," she says. "That's very fun. I was never half so adventurous," she admits with a little laugh. "...But I think that's good. To be able to see yourself on both sides..."

"I don't think it's childish at all. There are so many things in this world that need a good hero--and there's nothing wrong with being the reason the hero wants to come home, either."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

Remi smiles in return. "I shall look forward to it." Remi is half-French, of course she loves her wine, but it perhaps does not fit the current milieu.

Remi is also snacking as she goes. She chuckles lightly. "Yes, well, even I would not dare to run off with a sword to chase adventure." Well, not without also bringing her Evoker, of course. "But I suppose Drama Club and Fencing Club became my way of chasing a little bit of that adventure."

"Thank you for saying so. That's very kind of you." She nods slowly as she considers. "... I suppose you are right. And of course, as I got older, and I began to notice others, well..." She already had an inkling.

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Haha," Hana laughs about chasing adventure. "Maybe not in a literal sense," she answers, becuase of course that kind of thing isn't done. "But there are plenty of adventures left in the world that may or may not call for a blade. LIke those, yes. And there's plenty in the adult world, too."

Kind? Hana means it! She considers, though. "Hmmm... Yes," she understands, starting to take a deeper meaning in it. "There's something to be said for versatility, too. In that respect, I've only sometimes been more of a 'rescuer'--though... women were complicated, of course, for me--given who I am now."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"Of course." Adventures that require a blade... Remi mulls that over for a moment. "I did take up cooking earlier this year--or last year, I suppose I should say. Plenty of occassion for chopping ingredients. It has been an interesting journey."

Only sometimes a 'rescuer'. Sadly Remi isn't doing much rescuing these days, but... "I see." She frowns in concentration, taking another sip as she considers. "... Mmm, yes. I can see how that might be the case. I must confess, I have never wanted to be other than as I am now... despite my choice of stage roles."

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Oh, cooking can be fun," Hana agrees. "I've mostly just done what I needed to get by until the last couple of years, and I've been experimenting since. It really is interesting."

Assuming they're speaking the same code, of course, Hana is sure she knows where they stand there. "Well," Hana says, "That's fine and good. I think gender is something that can be more flexible than people think... Though good luck getting a lot of people to believe that," she sighs. "All the same, I was content for a while as I was,, but..."

"Well, I'm happy now."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"I have been doing mostly the same." Yes, of course she joins her friends for dinner often, but... she does appreciate knowing how to fend for herself, as it were. "To be honest, it has never been a skill I needed until recently, outside of the nicities such as tea preparation. But I have taken great pleasure in it. And I have been slowly learning how to cook all of my favorite French cuisine."

It's a language Remi only learned relatively recently. But as for gender being flexible, Remi slowly nods. "Yes, it seems as if that may be the case. If I am being honest, it is not something I gave much thought to until last year when I reconnected with an old friend of mine and learned they now identify as X-Gender. I have had much to think about."

Content before, but happy now. Remi raises her glass with a smile. "I am glad to hear it. We could all do with a little more happiness in our lives, non?"

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

"Same," Hana admits. "I could mostly get by on whatever I already knew how to make--being more elaborate with dishes is something i started to do more recently, and it's been fun! Especially when you have someone to cook for, don't you think? A friend, for instance." But not necessarily just that, either. She smiles though. "Good. French food can be so delicious..."

And, "A lot of the time, one doesn't really need to," she says. "But once you start thinking, you notice all the ways in which it shapes our lives even more than before. I'm not X-Gender myself, but that was one of the areas I explored, back then."

She smiles back. "Yes, I agree."

"...And this is a good start!"

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"There is a certain amount of... satisfaction, in learning how to prepare your own meals, don't you think? Even if I am still chasing the elusive macron..." Remi sighs. "One of these days..."

But as for cooking for a friend. "My dear friend Yua-chan has been teaching me to cook, so I will share my efforts with her, though... I admit it does not feel quite the same as cooking 'for' her... That, sadly, I have had not much occasion for."

"You explored it? Interesting... then, you did not simply know?" She's curious, but she's looking at the process from the outside.

"It certainly is," Remi responds with good cheer. She hasn't had a night like this in quite a while. She really needed this.

<Pose Tracker> Hana Fukami has posed.

It's definitely different; Hana never had 'people for that', precisely, though there was one person in particular who did a lot of that and deserves credit for it. But, "One day!" She'll get there!

But Yua... "Oh?" Hana asks. "I happen to know a Yua who is a very good cook, myself. Wouldn't that be a small world?"

But... Hmm. It's not quite the same... "I see, I see."

"No, without a guide to work from, I had to discover it all over time. At first I just thought that whatever I was feeling was normal for a gay man. As I met others, and had more experiences, I began to understand that it was a little different..."

But she smiles back. "Good." Then she gets a beep--

"Oh, excuse me," Hana ssays, and looks to her phone.

"...Hmmm. It seems I'm wanted at home sooner than I expected... I'm sorry to run, but can we pick this up another time? I'd be happy to explore more of this with you, and explain my findings."

<Pose Tracker> Remi Ryuuja has posed.

"One day," she agrees.

"Fancy that..." Remi muses about Yua. She resolves to ask in a moment, but she'll be interrupted before she gets the chance.

And indeed, Hana is interrupted by a notification on her phone-- and needs to leave. "Not at all, dear. Thank you for texting me. I think I needed a night like this more than I realized." For multiple reasons, even. "Do text me when you're in the area again--or perhaps next time, I can meet you in Tokyo. And I would be delighted to pick this up then."

Remi smiles. "Either way, have a good night, Fukami-chan, and thank you for the delightful company."
