A bright and cheerful young woman, Maki Sonomura was once bedridden from grave illness. Perhaps that's why she seems to seek to live every day to the fullest now. She splits her time between her studies at Sumaru University and a part-time position at Hiiragi Psychotherapy, where she uses her artistic talent to help people. The truth is that while these things are part of her, she was also at the heart of the SEBEC incident in 2009, and was rescued and helped by dear friends... and another part of herself. Now, it's her turn to help others.

Taishan Niangniang (also known as Bixia Yuanjun) is a goddess of Mount Tai, as well as the dawn, destiny, and childbirth in Taoist tradition. She is said to be the daughter of either the Lord of the Underworld or one of his judges, and is noted to heed the pleas of children. A spectral woman with long, dark, flowing hair and a white dress. She wears a white porcelain-like mask covering her entire face with holes for her eyes and a serene expression. Three phoenixes are inlaid in pale silver thread on her dress.
