A quiet, exotic-looking young man hailing from rainy Akita, not much is known about the boy slinking through the back rooms of the seedy nightlife in Sumaru. A fragment of something else entirely, the boy has some form of connection to the masked EDM artist, 'Gin,' whom is said to have died in the Club Harai Fire in the fall of 2012. The late artist's mind-bending messaging of counterculture and supreme Japanese restoration is a ideological mausoleum surrounding the boy, and more oft than not he is haunted by the idea of 'synthesis' and his own eerie understanding of the dead artist's legend. His possession of a old prop of Gin's labels him as a true superfan, but rumors of ancient connections to the darkest occult in Sumaru linger around the boy like old ghosts. Even now, the extent of the influence he wields is not well understood by the waking world, leaving him to struggle with vacuous gaps in his memory aided by the shadows alone, a boy lost in the heartless rave.

Background

The boy known as Shiryuu is a studied creature of many faces. For most, he is only a face in the crowd -- unimportant, nondescript, studious, quiet. It is really only when one stands in his path that he begins to become 'someone' at all, and when he does, he is swift and terrible. Who then, would really know anything of the bloody events that brought him to Sumaru?

Season 1, Episode 1

  • He's been seen working at the reconstruction worksite for Club Harai in Sumaru, though his work is mostly menial labor. He appeared shortly after the explosion there that claimed the life of well known club artist 'Gin.' His status as an EDM fan is well known among the work crew there, whom regard him generally as a skilled, quiet, hard worker who is probably being very underpaid. That does not stop them from making fun of him for the flirty girl that visited the worksite once. The boss told him to stop causing a stir.
  • He is paradoxically also known as a very dangerous person in the schools of Sumaru, particularly Kasugayama. Rumors abound if the silver-haired guy is just a tough fight or if he really did kidnap someone??
  • He also seems to know quite a few other dangerous people, and has a habit of appearing at the site of many freak disasters. He was there during the fire at the Aerospace Museum, and was one of the patients at the hospital when a freak waterspout threw a research ship halfway through Narumi Memorial.
  • He seems to have the same last name as an ancient ninja clan that was recently connected to the Akabane family. No way this guy is related.. right?

Persona

I am thou... thou art I. With this, I have come to guide all of the wayward descendants of Amaterasu.

A mechanical kami wearing a mask, the Persona Sarutahiko Okami appears wearing wind chime regalia and the uniform of a Shinto kannushi. He wields a massively long eight shaku gohei, standing at the apex of an impossible network of ancient rope bridges. it represents the early god who guards the bridge connecting Heaven and Earth, Ame no Ukihashi, upon which Izanagi and Izanami stood when they made the world as we know it. He is the leader of the earthbound, patron of martial arts, and he represents strength, guidance, and the way.

'Gin'

A mysterious, nameless figure at the head of a counterculture movement in the electronic dance community. He was killed in a freak accident at his club in Yumezaki, which caused a massive explosion and a fire that took the better part of a day to extinguish. It's not known what connection this person had to Shiryuu.

The Ryouhara Clan
