"Would you like a snack? I've got sweet ones, salty ones..."
Brought on as a temporary guidance counselor at Shujin Academy in the wake of the Kamoshida scandal, Dr. Takuto Maruki has an encouraging smile and a basket of snacks for any student that comes down to the nurse's office for a listening ear. While clumsy and relatively young, he has a genuine passion and compassion for helping those who are bearing up under deep and terrible emotional scars. As he advocates for them to the more results-oriented Shujin faculty, Dr. Maruki devotes a significant amount of his mental energy to considering how best he can ease their pain while maintaining the discretion to let them pursue their dreams at an appropriate pace.
