"It's a work in progress..."
She's a strange one, that girl... Always looking *through* people, always saying things that *almost* make sense, always disappearing into the art room when she could be doing anything else! Yoko often seems spaced out or distracted, unless she's creating something. An artist with a particular passion for sculpture, she's confident in classical techniques as well as modern materials. Having been accepted into Gekkoukan High, Yoko intends to work hard to achieve her dream of a scholarship to attend college abroad. She's going to need that work ethic to compensate for an unfortunate ailment…
Background
- The only daughter of Momoko and Wataru Hirano.
- Her behavior became erratic before withdrawing from school due to illness two years ago. When she returned a few months later, her personality had become quieter.
- In her first year at Gekkoukan High, and has joined the Art Club.
Season 1, Episode 1
Something strange has been happening lately... Mysterious apparitions have been lurking around a select few people that Yoko has met, and they don't seem to be the usual kind.
Unbeknownst to her, she has become a person of interest to the Ryouhara family.
Purrsona

Hiding our tails! Preening our whiskers! Dancing in the moonlight, drinking from the lamps! We are Bakeneko, the yokai cat!
Bakeneko: Bakeneko is a calico cat the size of a Great Dane, accompanied by ghostly fireballs. Its tail is easily the length of itself over again. It's strangely expressive for a cat, happy to stand on its hind legs, with a grin that just gets wider, and wider, and wider…
Resonance (READ ME)
Yoko's Resonance And You!
Her Resonance sense is unusual among Persona-users: rather than as a sound or a feeling, other Personas are visible to her despite not being summoned or even being in a cognitive space. They may appear as a momentary impression and then vanish, or act almost like characters in their own right. Examples:
Shinjiro Aragaki's Persona weighs heavy on his mind at most times, and he is constantly aware of the responsibility of having it. Castor, in turn, is a near-constant presence that lurks closely.
Minato Arisato is has the power of the Wild Card, with the power to don countless masks. His Personas appear as a nebulous and indistinct Jumbled Mess of figures that are hard to distinguish from one another.
Umie Akabane is an experienced Anti-Navigator with cloaking abilities. Despite standing about three feet away from each other, Yoko wasn't aware of anything from her.
THIS ENTIRE SYSTEM IS OPT-IN! Resonance is a tricky thing: Yoko is not trained to use it or even currently Awakened to her own Persona, and sometimes things just don't work for no apparent reason. If you don't want Yoko to see your character's Persona, just tell the player so! You are welcome and encouraged to puppet your character's Persona if you want to.
For those who are sensitive to Resonance, their first impression of Yoko's is usually that there's a cat somewhere nearby. They don't know how they know or why it matters, but they do. Deeper observation often brings the scent of sun-warmed fur, a warmth that's nearly /too/ hot to be comfortable, the sound of something rumbling, or the taste of oil.
Approaches
Wax Poetic (Friendliness, Focus) - Yoko nerds out about something, and her enthusiasm might be enough to intrigue the target.
All Dolled Up (Diligence, Patra) - She shows off her latest sculpture. In cognitive spaces her current little guy might perform a trick to impress!
Satisfaction Brought It Back (Smarts, Patra) - Yoko Noticed That.
