Umie Akabane is a seemingly unremarkable person who works various side jobs, a konbini clerk being one of them. A lover of strange snack foods and supernatural gossip, her dry humor disguises many minor mysteries about the young woman. Thumbsleeves in summer, a knack for seeing bad luck on the horizon, and her sudden appearance in Shibuya could make a more curious person wonder where she came from, or if she's connected with a masked girl who pops up from time to time in various supernatural affairs. Then again, aren't there many like that running around nowadays?
