Summer break, finally! And Kazusa is actually feeling... decent about herself, for once. Not only had she aced finals, she'd gotten top marks. (A fact she is sure to rub in everybody else's face given the slightest opportunity), but for now, it meant that her father was actually going to be off her case for once.
Today, however, she was on her own. Most of her friends were busy, and she couldn't stay cooped up in the house all day, so... time to get out and do something. Hopefully where nobody else would see her.
Or, well, hopefully nobody she didn't want to see her wouldn't see her. She waws dressed to be seen. Her straight black hair was done up in a ponytail, she was wearing a black bustier top, a leather skirt, makeup and dark nail polish, and platform sneakers, with a designer handbag slung over one shoulder. Now that she didn't have to worry about the school uniform for a month, time for fashion.
She is strutting towards the front of the movie theater, a pair of shades perched on her nose, pretty much acting like she owns the place.

Summer break is here and Ryuji is maximizing his goofing off. The blonde delinquent has been all over Shibuya over the past few days. With no Phantom Thieves business and home work, Ryuji decides that he is going to see that new horror movie thats been advertised pretty heavily.
Today, the piratanical Phantom is dressed in a loud purple shirt and distressed jeans that were likely just that way due to age as opposed to fashion. He looks around, slouching as he walks toward the front of the movie theater.
Ryuji doesn't noticed Kazusa at first. He doesn't really know the so called mean girl in his class. However, he spots her and blinks, deciding that maybe he should avoid that particular snag before this day gets more complicated.
However, as much as he is trying to avoid having a bad time, he is still a guy so his head does turn to look at Kazusa, trying to keep it on the downlow.

If Ryuji is looking at her, well... that's kind of the point, dressing in street fashion, isn't it? Fashion doesn't mean anything if nobody's around to see it. And yet... her demeanor also says 'don't talk to me.' If she notices Ryuji, she doesn't react, and instead goes up to get her ticket, and then heads inside the theater proper.
She's probably gone to get snacks, or head right to the movie theater, right? There's an arcade, but given the way Kazusa's ridiculed people for being too into anime, or video games, or other nerdy interests at school, that's probably the last place you'd find her.
You certainly wouldn't see her at one of the new Ultimate Night Parade 4 Remix Lightning Edition machines in the arcade, shades still perched on her nose, staring at it with intense focus as she works the controls and whips out a very long combo string against the CPU. ... right?
<Pose Tracker> Ryuji Sakamoto has posed.
The blonde delinquent should probably just go see "The Dead won't Die" like he planned. He watches Kazusa leave to go do her rich girl hobbies that don't involved poor boys like Ryuji.
But something told Ryuji to keep an eye on Kazusa. Call it a hunch.
So after securing his ticket, Ryuji just so happens to see most popular girl move past concessions and into the arcade. THAT is news.
Ever so slowly, Ryuji creeps into the arcade past the fighting game machines. He is about to go to the claw machine but the most popular girl in school is playing a video game...Something she has made fun of everyone else for.
So yeah, now he is staring. He watches those super sick combos, finally whistli.ng as one takes out the CPU.
Ryuji blinks, realizing he just outted himself with the whistle. "Uh...I--" He smiles awkwardly, looking around for exits.

Ryuji's whistling is enough to get Kazusa's attention. She glances, now that she has a moment with the CPU opponent flying in slow motion towards the floor. Then she spots Ryuji and freezes. Her entire body goes tense, her hands clutching the stick and edge of the cabinet's controls.
"Saka--" she sputters out in disbelief. Her eyes are wide. This might be a flash of fear that's crossing her face.
It only lasts for a moment, though. In the next instant, she's abandoned the game where the new match is starting, her expression switching to quiet fury as she storms up to Ryuji. "Nobody finds out about this, you got me, Sakamoto?" She punctuates this with a poke to the chest. "Nobody."
Maybe not the brightest move, to poke someone who got in trouble for hitting a teacher, but Kazusa's mind hasn't caught up to her actions yet.

Ryuji realizes pretty fast that he should've kept quiet. The blonde's eyes widen as he is prodded by Kazusa. He just kinda stares as Kazusa is clearly not happy about him seeing this side of her.
There is a part of him that considered recording the event. I mean then he wouldn't need to worry about Kazusa getting on his case. But alas, he is too nice for such antics.
Finally, he raises a brow, giving Kazusa a look that expresses what he is about to say. "For real? Geez, it's playing video games. I don't really see the big idea, Motojima." He says, looking toward the exit to maybe get away before this gets anymore spicy. He starts backing up from the irate girl.

Kazusa's gaze narrows. "Yeah. Figures you wouldn't see the big deal. Nobody expects anything out of a delinquent with terrible grades. I have a reputation to maintain. If this ever gets back to--" She cuts herself off and glances to the side, letting out an angry snort, and then turns away, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Dammit. I knew coming in here was a mistake. But no, I just had to see if they had one of the new Night Parade machines. Stupid."
She turns to face Ryuji again. "Look. What do you want? Make it reasonable and I can get it for you. But don't get any bright ideas or I'll make you regret it, understand?"

Ryuji's face flattens when she mentions his reputation and grades. This didn't seem like a good strategy to get Ryuji on her side. Ryuji considers just telling the next classmate he sees. Right now however He is cursing under his breath for involving himself with this girl. It was all coming back to him on why he was hesitant. Still, Ryuji notices she does seem very upset about being lumped in with gamers and geeks. He starts feeling a little guilty. "Right...Whatever."
After a long sigh, Ryuji makes an X with his hands. "Yeah, that's ok. I'll just pretend I didn't see anything, alright? Have a good day." Ryuji starts to back up a little quicker to just go see his movie. He would pretend this never happened. He is about to get away when he backs into machine, effectively cutting off his escape.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Kazusa is clearly not here to make friends--but maybe her line of thought makes sense for someone so concerned about image and status. And, she doesn't project herself as the most empathetic person, especially not to those who seem to be on the fringes of what's acceptable.
Kazusa takes one step forward as Ryuji backs up, though she doesn't get too much closer, arms crossed as she stares him down. Behind her, the CPU is wailing on her chosen character, scoring a KO. She doesn't seemto notice.
"... Right. Like I'm supposed to believe that? What kind of idiot do you take me for?" She takes another step closer, slowly closing the gap, though there's still plenty of space between the two. Her eyes narrow. "Fine. But if you so much as even breathe a word about this to anyone else I will bury you, understand me? Nobody's going to even take your word over mine anyway."
Then why was she so worried about bribing him??? She might just be trying to convince herself more than Ryuji.
<Pose Tracker> Ryuji Sakamoto has posed.
Ryuji is doing his best to avoid a scene. Especially since he is certain that she could make up some story about him being a creep. Such was the reality of being a troubled student. He backs more into the flat side of the arcade machine, keeping his eyes on Kazusa to make sure she didn't really come at him.
"Look, yeah. No one is going to believe me anyway. So how about you go back to your game and I go to my movie? Cool?" Ryuji smiles his best Sakamoto grin and starts to try to escape from this situation by going to the side of Kazusa's block.
"Got it. Not a word... Who the hell am I going to tell anyway?" Ryuji does notice that she is both bribing him and threatening him. He notes that if he doesn't get out of here, he might be in a world of trouble.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Kazusa could make up such a story. And the thought may or may not have crossed her mind. But right now she wants to call as little attention to this whole exchange as possible, not more.
she is not persuaded by that smile. It just makes her narrow her eyes and stare at Ryuji harder. She scoffs a bit and flicks a loose strand of hair behind her shoulder. "That's right. Nobody would believe you anyway." Yes, that's the ticket. Her position is bulletproof, nobody would believe Sakamoto. That's how she manages this. "So go see whatever dumb movie you were about to see." She turns away from Ryuji and makes a shooing motion with her hand while not even looking at him.
She approaches the arcade machine, which is just now showing her character getting KO'd for the second time, still not looking back at Ryuji.
<Pose Tracker> Ryuji Sakamoto has posed.
Ryuji nods when Kazusa goes on about how no one will believe him. He might be very pissed off if this wasn't giving him the exit he needed. The blonde frowns when she calls his movie "dumb", balling his fists to keep his temper from flaring up. He wasn't going to hit her but he might say something to prolong this mess if he wasn't careful.
"Right. Have a nice day." Ryuji says starting to make his way toward the exit. He sticks his tongue out when Ryuji sees her turn her back on him.
As he makes his way toward the movie screens, Ryuji considers everything he's seen. A girl who makes fun of people for being into dorky stuff is doing said dorky stuff. She is even pretty good at it, telling Ryuji that she does this often. If he wanted to, Ryuji could expose this hypocrite.
But for now, Ryuji just wanted to avoid trouble and enjoy his movie.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Kazusa doesn't see that tongue. Instead she's walked back over to her arcade machine, where the screen is now displaying Kazusa's computer opponent in their victory pose. She places her hands on the controls again but just stares as the stage fades and transitions to a large portrait with a victory quote underneath, and a number counting down to 0.
She doesn't move, a few seconds going by until she lets out a scowl and smashes the buttons in frustration, rocketing the count down to 0 as the screen fades to black and white.
The girl is already turning and heading for the exit as the announcer shouts, 'Game over!' but she doesn't head to the screens. She heads for the entrances, not even bothering to get a refund for her ticket.
So much for going to the movies today.
