  • Summary: Ixquic sends Rumourmonger Merry a message saying she'd like to meet them! And so, meet they shall, after Kaneshiro's Palace is dealt with.

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

Kaneshiro's Palace has come and gone.

Literally gone. It's not there anymore; Akari checked, the day afterwards, in case it needed a day to settle. Then she'd been anxious, and Akari is *never* anxious. Was it handled? Is he going to come back as Super Kaneshiro, swearing a blood oath against everybody who'd ever been in his Palace and sending out the Yakuza cyborg enforcers to hunt them down?

(The cyborg enforcers she's imagining have piggy helmets, now.)

But then she'd caught the results on the news. Which means there was only one thing left to do.

Akari remembers Kaneshiro's arrival in the Cardboard Dragon, and how mad it made her, and she *knew* Myunghon had been in the Palace - Ixquic had practically forced herself into their group. But she also can't just go down there and check on it. After school she wouldn't have her outfit, and going in the Dark Hour was, well...

...look, her father has been on her case lately, the last thing she needs to do is sneak out and be across town at midnight. But there's one option that remains!

The only hard part was getting Myunghon there, because Akari only has one phone (it's a nice phone though) and she isn't sure she wants Myunghon to know her actual, real life phone number, so no texts. Instead, she'd sent an email from the email account she used to sign up with Darkside of Sumaru.

Subj: TO MERRY ONLY

If you're not Rumourmonger Merry don't read this!

[There are twenty lines of blank space as a spoiler guard.]

I want to talk about the Merry Men (and women) (and other)'s trip to Buckingham! Can we meet at the SUPER TRAINS? Or, the super train station. I don't want to get on the trains there.

Here's a few times we could meet. Just let me know which one works! If you dare...

-Ixquic

---

(Ixquic had to fight her embarrassment that she did not manage to get ixquic@gmail.com without the number, because this is the first time she's ever emailed anyone directly about the supernatural. At least she has just ixquic at the Darkside.)

And that's why...

The Legendary Magical Warrior, Ixquic, dressed in her full costume - including mask - is sitting on one of the benches. She didn't know when Merry would be able to make it, precisely, so she has brought a sketchpad and is doodling what appears to be a fantastical ninja woman with some sort of rope or chain weapon. She's spending a lot of time on that, drawing it (and her) from several angles.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Fortunately, Akari, we're not in the even more miserable timeline where your best friend is now a masked cyborg and the town is happy (?) but played in a depressing minor key and piggy-helmeted goons are everywhere. Yet. Maybe? Yet. It's probably okay.

But there is a response, plain enough! They picked a time a few hours before they were going on a Mementos trip with the Cardboard Dragon team. (There might've been a little opsec paranoia about having to pick a time via e-mail, because they're never sure who's intercepting e-mail, but there's no better way at present.)

And sure enough, Rumourmonger Merry appears at the entrance to Mementos, five minutes early -- though it seems like Legendary Warrior Ixquic has managed to arrive even earlier than them! It's nice to be polite and show up early. They're trying their best to mask any of the fright that Ishiba's managed to inflict under their skin, but it's particularly easy to do so when they're in their Cognitive Coat, which... has seen better days, because the cognitive appearance is tied to the real item in their mind.

"I am here, Legendary Warrior Ixquic," they greet with a bit of playfulness in their tone. "I'd first like to thank you for your help with the Palace. We wouldn't have had nearly as much success if you hadn't been there."

There is a genteel bow, as they tuck their head down. "Thank you, on behalf of Hirasaka."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

Parts of Sumaru are probably already minor key. Just not the part where Ixquic lives. It's hard to imagine her in a miserable timeline.

Though, depending on your point of view...

Ixquic hastily closes up her sketchpad as she stands up, coming to her full height. She's not as tall as Merry is... yet; she has the kind of rangy build that suggests she either just had or is in the process of having a growth spurt, and now that she's not running around everywhere for a change it's easier to see. She's not precisely uncoordinated but she's perhaps not quite as graceful as she'd like either.

She's also grinning. "Greetings, Rumourmonger!" she says, brightly, matching the playfulness. Help with the Palace... that makes her smile more honest. "It was good to be there. People like that... they don't deserve to win. I saw the way they treated you."

And they don't entirely look great. Is their outfit supposed to look that tattered? Akari's fingers itch to try to patch it up, though she doesn't exactly have her sewing supplies with her. Maybe she ought to have carried THAT instead of her sketchbook. Ixquic's gaze - well, her eyes are behind a visor but she's definitely looking at the sleeves of the coat for a moment.

"Hirasaka deserves strong defenders!" Ixquic doesn't just mean herself. "Did he, you know... send anyone else in after?" Is the Cardboard Dragon safe, she means, but Akari doesn't know a whole lot about property law, for some mysterious reason.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

The way they treated Myunghon, huh? That does narrow Ixquic's identity, likely, down to someone who was there on that day. In truth, Myunghon probably could make a pretty good guess right now, but they're respectful of people who want to take a guise behind their identities. There's a reason, and that's more important than whether they know or not.

The Cognitive Coat has taken a bunch of damage in the battles in the Palace -- the battle against Jin Shirato one of them, given the burns and shrapnel that's pierced through. But there's a replacement on the way. It'll be reborn!

Anyone else... there's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it hesitation, but then they have to convince themself that the harrassment coming from Officer Ishiba is *likely* not related to Kaneshiro. If they convince themself of that, they'll be in connecting a lot of conspiracy threads elsewhere. "There has not... for Hirasaka. The deadline he imposed has passed, and nothing has happened," explains Merry. Does that mean there IS someone else?

"At this point, I'd rather not worry about whether someone else will come of the shadow... we already have enough to be concerned about with the unknowns we saw -- such as that dark figure that appeared to try to assassinate Kaneshiro."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

It doesn't necessarily narrow it down all the way, given Kaneshiro was hardly any nicer as a Shadow, and Ixquic has poked her nose around other supernatural spaces too...

...but it doesn't exactly *not*, either. Akari is not as good at opsec as some notorious Phantom Thieves.

"Well, you definitely handled him," Ixquic says, remembering their actions with the Shadow. "So I'm not surprised he gave up. I guess that's how they all did the Change of Hearts..." Which means she was right, and Umie was, if not wrong, at least without all the information. "Ha, we actually hit the evil out of him!"

Akari is not always the most alert - well, no. That's not true. Akari notices a lot of things, some of which you'd probably rather she didn't. But it all gets filtered through whatever she's thinking about today.

All that to say that Ixquic *definitely* notices the hesitation, but what she thinks about it is hard to tell. Especially with the mask that she hasn't taken off covering her upper face. At least this one lets you see her face... some of her sketched outfits didn't. (But that was before it was Cognitive, anyway...)

"Good!" Ixquic says, until the wind is very firmly taken out of her sails by Merry reminding her about the assassin. She shudders. "I've never felt anyone who felt like... THAT. I thought it was demon at first! Have you ever heard of anything like that...? That's one of the things I wanted to know."

"I haven't been doing this very long," Ixquic finally admits. "I'm a magical warrior, reincarnated from the depths of time! ...buuut I've also only been fighting here for a few months. So I don't know everything. I didn't even know that Palaces were like - like that. Or Mementos! I haven't been in very far myself. So if you know something... please, tell me! I'll trade," she adds, because she's a Sumaru kid - she knows how rumourmongers work.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

Then we're going to find how careful Ryuji is about opsec... it's probably a good thing that 'you shouldn't trust your phone communications' is not in-genre.

"Mmmm. I have not even stopped to think about the particulars. I know that there is such a thing as the 'Treasure', but that it is formless... the Phantoms know of a way to provoke it into being," Myunghon considers. "It is a stroke of luck for us that their method worked for us, since my plan was to try to find something incriminating to distract him well enough away from Hirasaka."

The assassin does make them pause and recall that feeling too. "No... but..." A pause. "That was no Demon. They came close to where Queen and I was and... the bloodlust I felt was very... Human." There's a deep frown that crosses their bandaged face. "I'm not certain if that makes it better or worse."

But Ixquic admits she hasn't been doing it for very long -- and wants to know things! "Hmmmm. I've been thinking of how successful we've been as a group... I'd like to have a way of being able to contact you for collaborations, Ixquic. Our team is actually planning another excursion deeper in later today. I'd offer you my phone number, but I imagine you want to keep your identity a secret... and e-mails are easier to miss."

One that will totally end well and not end in a near-wipe with the Reaper into a racist cop.

"Fufu... if only I could beam the Ixquic signal in the sky to notify you." It feels a bit good to play the fantasy up with Ixquic. It makes them able to ignore reality troubles for a bit longer.

"But... you have done enough for us, so if there is anything you'd like to know, then I'd be happy to share."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

"Everything in there was treasure," Ixquic points out, "it was all gold. But there was special gold? Was that what they were putting in the van? I don't know what you'd do with all of it!"

This is coming from a girl who is wearing pounds and pounds of gold (cognitive gold? though to be fair so was Kaneshiro's) as outfit accessories. Is the only thing she can think of to wear it?

That was no demon... "I know," Ixquic says, serious for a change. "I can tell too. It makes it worse," she decides, because it's something she's thought of over the past while. "Demons are just demons, but people decide to do things." She doesn't know that much about demons either, honestly, but she is better versed in THEM then Palaces!

A way to contact her...

"Ha ha ha! Call, and I shall come! Speak my name, and I will hear it! ...is what I'd like to say. If I had an Ixquic signal I'd give it to you! But, a magical girl can't give away her name." Well, that's a 'I definitely want to keep my name a secret' agreement. "And I can't come today, either," she adds, sounding much more... normal.

Her father DEFINITELY won't let her stay out tonight. She's antsy. She's hoping he gets a little less... strict soon. It's not like he's even around all that often...

"So I suppose it'll have to be email for now!" It goes to her phone, so it's not that bad, though it does mean she's a little slower to text. Maybe she should get a chat program that lets her hide her name? But Akari isn't exactly computer-savvy enough to do that without help.

The questions... "I don't have many right this minute," Ixquic admits. "I read the Dark Side recently! That's how I knew how to look for the Palace..." That and what she'd heard in the Cardboard Dragon, but she doesn't say that part.

But she does have one: "Have you been in a Palace before Kaneshiro's? Are they all like that?"

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

There's a luxurious little chuckle from Merry as Ixquic says everything was treasure! "True. I found a place you can convert those cognitive spoils, by the way. A boutique in Shimokitazawa called Peacock Silk. They appear to cater to Persona-Users. But... it may be difficult to do that without revealing your identity. But they are creating a replacement for this burnt coat of mine, and perhaps it will be more resilient to have wear that is tailored for the supernatural."

They wonder for a moment how it works for Akari -- the cognitive gold is translated from *something*, certainly, the way that they mentally need an article of clothing to project into being the Cognitive Coat. It's very intriguing.

Demons are just... demons. "True enough. I do find a lot of Demon Negotations more... relaxing, in a way," Myunghon finds themself admitting. "Demons are in many ways more honest about their motives, even if they can be capricious and flighty." That's one of the ways in which they feel they are No Longer Human.

But of contact... call, and she shall come! ... if only. It'll have to be e-mail for now.

"Mmm. Very well, I can manage that," Merry doesn't seem put out. "I'll play the role of the distressed, calling for help from Legendary Warrior Ixquic, when there is trouble that you might be interested in."

So Ixquic read the Dark Side... Merry steps a bit closer and draws their phone out. It's a good thing Katsuya was able to retrieve it for them. "I wanted to check, Ixquic. Do you have... this app, on your phone?"

They leave it on the Meta-Nav app, with its eerie, glitchy eye design.

Was that their first Palace, though? "My first time being so thorough about it, to be certain, but... I had been working with the Rumourmonger community to test and disprove beforehand. Everything we did at Kaneshiro's Palace was untested ground. But the hypothesis is closer to becoming solid theory, and certain variables have become constants."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

"I've been to Peacock Silk!" Ixquic says, cheerfully, which may be a surprise. "They didn't want to sell anything to me," because they didn't know she was a Persona-user, "but they invited me back anyway. But they're making a new coat?"

Ixquic considers this for a moment. "It would need to be protective," she says, "and also stretch. The fluidity - " she has to slow down on that one. "The smoothness of your arms' movement, the ability to reach out and seize your dreams...! It was really cool, what you did with it... I wanted to ride up it too but I didn't want to crash into Queen."

Also she wanted to ask Panther for an autograph. She still has one pending! She promised!!

How would she do it for Myunghon? Now Akari is thinking about it. Her brows furrow under her helmet as she seems distracted for several long moments, until -

"Huh?"

Ixquic steps forward, looking at the phone. A moment later, and she reaches behind her into her shorts' pocket, concealed under her cloak; out comes her own phone, a newer smartphone, because the Hoshi family is not what you'd call poor. She thumbs a couple buttons on it, though in Mementos, only one thing works anyway -

And she holds up her own phone, with her own eerie eye app wide open. "I didn't know how else to get in," she confesses. "I had to walk for AGES around Shibuya and keep guessing how to get in, it took all day. But I know one of the other people, she had a gun. A brain gun! To shatter the barriers holding back her psychic powers!" That's not... quite how an Evoker works, but it's not entirely not, either. "If you ever call me for help you might have to tell me how to get in faster."

Ixquic keeps her own phone in her hand, though she doesn't actually trigger it. "But I've been in here before. And under Kasugayama." A rumourmonger who lives a few blocks away DEFINITELY already knows about the shelter, so she doesn't belabor the point.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

"I see..." Myunghon can't even remember if Akari was present on that day or if she attended on a different day. ... hopefully that means that that embarrassing outing in the old EGL outfit is not KNOWN. "I do not quite know what it will look like yet. They fitted me," and then there's a pause, as they think about that finger again.

A quiet clearing of the throat, and a chuckle. It's more true than Akari might imagine -- they don't use their arms much in the supernatural in favour of the ribbons that flow out of the Cognitive Coat, because of... reasons. "Perhaps we can workshop that? Your Persona's motorcycle is also very impressive. It's hard to imagine the average Demon that won't be impressed by a trick like that -- we might even be able to Negotiate on rideback."

    But... Akari does have it.

"Mm...." Myunghon does look contemplative for a moment too long. "So I appear to be the only one of the group who has it. You are the second I know who has it on their phone. It unsettles me greatly, to be honest, Ixquic. It knows what you consider 'your' phone -- I've done tests by losing my phone for weeks at a time. It even knows how to hop onto an old gara-kei that shouldn't be compatible with modern apps..."

What does it mean, that they both have it, but not the others?

But there is a sympathetic chuckle. "You were more clever than I am. I fetched a list of Kaneshiro's assets and had to cross those out before coming to Shibuya, and..." A pause. "I found the correct place when I started feeling very ill. It is as Dark Side says -- it feels 'wrong'." They weren't expecting it to basically make them sick, though. It's a good thing it passed when they were inside.

But... someone with an Evoker came on in? "I see... so it works that way too?" Myunghon sounds impressed. "Ah, yes... the Air Raid Shelter. Many curious Demons from down there. It is one of the reasons I moved to where I did -- the other reason is that the Cardboard Dragon exists ontop of a patch of supernatural ground, and I teach people how to use Skill Cards at night."

A pause. "I think if you are careful, we can arrange for a visit there during the Dark Hour, if you'd like to browse the Skill Cards I have."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

Your secrets are safe with Akari.

Probably.

"Ooh, fitted!" Ixquic, of course, is very happy to talk about costuming, and fashion (she's better at the first than the second), and the process of tailoring, but she somehow feels that Myunghon is probably not the most interested in any of them. "I'd like to see them more at work sometime..."

The rope that she took from the Shadow looms large in her memory. She had an inspiration, a flash of insight and creativity like a lightning bolt. She HAS to work with it. But what if she wrecks it by mistake? What if she doesn't do it right...?

She grins. "Motorcycles are very cool," Ixquic says, which is the only excuse she has for why Quixote shows up as a half-person, half-motorcycle. Maybe she just really likes it? Or maybe she watched one too many Kamen Riders as a kid. ...a younger kid. "I've only tried to ride it once before. Normally it doesn't stay very long..." Well, it is a Persona. And she's not a Navigator.

But the phone... "Really?" Ixquic is surprised by this. "I have a magic phone? I mean, I knew I had a magic phone, but it's a MAGIC magic phone! How does it do that?" Ixquic only had the one, so she wasn't aware that it moved. "I don't know where it came from really. It was just... there, one day. When did you get yours?" Ixquic doesn't seem like she wants to get into the details of what receiving it was like.

"I didn't feel sick when I found it," Ixquic says. "I felt... um. I don't know. I mean I could feel where it was, sort of, but getting in was hard. I had to guess so many things! And did you know that 'secret crime base' didn't work? I think it should have, it was a very secret, very criminal base." She nods, more to herself than Myunghon.

Ixquic tries to do something on her phone - which fails of course, the Meta-Nav is stealing it right now. "Boo," she says to herself. Then she explains, "I tried to take a picture of a demon down there, in the shelter. I had a picture of a Jack Frost! But nobody believed me. I bet YOU'D believe me, but I showed some friends and they didn't believe I took it myself. That's why I need to get more evidence."

A beat as she realized she's been INVITED. "I'd love to! ...buuuut it's hard for me to get to Hirasaka in the Dark Hour right now," Ixquic admits. Ugh. Parents, she thinks to herself. "...maybe things will ease up in a couple weeks..." If she behaves.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

It is ironic, because Myunghon *is* a surprising fashion head -- one does not simply 'luck' into being able to kill it with guro-lolita or angura -- and has an established history with the Shibuya street scene in the past... but now their relationship to clothing and gender has become very, very confusing and they feel they can't walk two steps without 'betraying' their gender ideals by whatever very unhealthy ideals of 'loyal' and 'disloyal' are, and they probably need to unpack that with someone.

"I did wonder if they use those materials to strengthen the clothes in any way. It is curious how something can appear mundane in the real world, but possess a lot of hidden strength once you cross the threshold..."

    Motorcycles are cool...?

Myunghon wonders why there was a direct translation of 'thing I thought was cool -> become Persona' for Akari but not them. They can only associate negativity with what their Persona is trying to insinuate about them. Is it a self-confidence thing? Terribly curious indeed.

"Mmm... that is true that it only manifests long enough to do its job, for many people," Myunghon considers. "But that sounds like a challenge we can overcome, does it not?"

When did they get their app, though? "Ah..." Myunghon falls a little silent, glancing away at that. "A little under two years ago, if I had to say. There was a... large gap between when I first awakened to my Persona, and when I as able to look at a phone, shall we say."

They're light on details there, but it's clear enough that it's an unpleasant or traumatic experience. And the story of those bandages is not one that they've told. Myunghon nods at the topic of the Palace, however. "No one else was sick either. I think it is a manner in which how my Resonance sensitivity functions, which is... unfortunate. But-- we did end up sitting at a Benny's and guessing its form for a bit. Because... it was easier to do that in the comfort of a Benny's."

And they were forced to eat that hamburg steak.

But the topic switches to a Jack Frost in the shelter! There's a glint of amusement from Merry at... *something* about that, for some reason. "Oh, I, of course, believe you. I actually have a Pact with the Frosts, myself." They consider this for a moment longer, then chuckles.

But it's hard to come to Hirasaka in the Dark Hour. "I see... then, why don't we meet here in Mementos? This entrance is safe enough, and I do not mind arranging meetings like this. I'd like our community to be better-supplied to face the dangers we know are out there."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

For all that Akari knows so much about clothing, she probably isn't the best person to have that conversation with. She couldn't unpack it because it's not baggage she has, even in part.

"Hmm..." Using the materials to strengthen - she's got it! She's going to have to remember that, but now she has *ideas*. Again. If other people have come up with the same idea...

As for motorcycles, it may be more than that. But it may not be. Who knows how Personas are assigned? (Igor, presumably, or at least he knows how Fools get more - but that too is a topic beyond Akari). But self-confidence is the one thing Ixquic absolutely, positively is not lacking.

"Two years? Wow, that's so long ago!" To Ixquic, who is turning fourteen this week, first, two years is forever ago so Merry is old, and two, it means that Merry has so much more experience than her they're barely in the same league. She looks at Merry with some new respect.

She also has enough self-awareness to not poke the trauma, because she doesn't, despite the fact that Ixquic would normally want to know everything about someone. So there's that. "You went to Benny's? I haven't been to Benny's since I was a kid!" She's not sure if this is positive or negative.

"...you have a contract with the Frosts??" Ixquic, despite herself, has no contracts. But that means... "...can I meet them?" she asks, very quietly. She's starstruck! The prospect of a Jack Frost she can talk to... maybe she can finally check that one thing off her bucket list.

Brightly: "We can definitely meet in Mementos! I can't stay too late tonight, but I'm around a lot. Heroes don't take days off!" Ixquic draws herself up to her full height - and though she's not as tall as Myunghon, that's more a 'yet'. "And I, Ixquic... am a hero!"

...

"I'd love to though," Ixquic continues, in a more normal tone of voice. "I don't know how they work at all, but I got one!" She checks her pockets again and pulls out - yup, that's a Card. Cleave. Nice and simple.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

It makes sense. If one had to contrast Akari and Myunghon right now, self-confidence perhaps is the biggest difference between them; Rumourmonger Merry is supposed to be unflappable and full of Hope, but it's ultimately a mask that Myunghon wears in order to project their cognitive desire upon the supernatural world. The Persona is an armored archetype for their Shadow, and ultimately must answer to what's inside -- and what's inside isn't all that secure at present.

"Ahah... trust me when I say that those two years have seen a lot of failed experimentation, and you already have unearthed things I have not," Myunghon is humble about it, but it's not just for facade's sake. One of the driving principles they have about the supernatural is to not assume you know everything, even when it feels like you do -- there's always something to upturn it around the corner...

"We went to Benny's," Merry admits. It was the closest location within the zone. "... I also have to warn you it is apparently very, *very* possible when entering a Palace that bystanders can be caught up in the wave that takes you in. That was how my sister was trapped, and if she hadn't awakened to a Persona, it would've likely been a tragedy."

    But... Frosts!!

... can she meet them? Myunghon considers this... then says, "I won't promise anything -- the one I know best is a bit sensitive -- but I will ask, all right?"

A sensitive Jack Frost? Ho ho ho.... *sad noise*. But Ixquic declares herself a hero, and Myunghon claps gently and merrily. "That's right. And heroes are able to overcome challenges when they arise, right? Skill Cards let you fill in a gap in something your Persona isn't able to achieve on their own... it can help you assist your team better, or strike a Demon's weakness when you otherwise cannot."

<Pose Tracker> Akari Hoshi has posed.

Akari...

...did something right?

Well, okay. Ixquic did something right; Akari sometimes separates the two a little more than she probably ought to. But she's being praised for experimenting and finding out things, even if Merry certainly knows things she doesn't.

And Ixquic feels proud. She stands a little straighter afterwards. Lately, she's only gotten in trouble, or had felt like people were humouring her. Her parents scold her. Her schoolmates think she's weird. And other Persona-users treat her like a problem. (Or a kid.) The way Merry's treated her today isn't like that. They actually seem to have some respect for her.

It feels good, honestly. Even if it is partially a facade, part of it isn't.

But... "People can come in with you?" Ixquic has never considered this before; it's never happened to her, though she always gets out of the way before she actually triggers it. "I didn't know that." She's never even *tried* to bring someone inside with her, let alone done it by mistake! "Thanks. That seems like something they should warn you about! It doesn't even have instructions. I checked."

She likes being a hero, too. "Then I'll learn," she promises Myunghon. "I'll be back, to meet you soon! But for now - didn't you say people were going in with you? I should get out before that." She doesn't want to answer any awkward questions. "So farewell! And you can always talk to me with email," she adds, hopefully. "Did I send mine to the right place?"

Plus, they said they'd ask the Frosts, too. Ixquic likes this answer.

<Pose Tracker> Myunghon Yeo has posed.

If Akari knew the depths to which Rumourmonger Merry is a mask for Myunghon, they probably would find themselves more similar than different. Many people find empowerment in the supernatural, because they're no stranger to their real life being harrowing. They're not even close to finding out how harrowing just yet.

But as much as Myunghon wants to posture they don't understand people and that their interaction with people is just finding the right clues and acting on them, they do understand how much the identity of Ixquic buoys this young woman.

"We also did not," Myunghon sighs. "It was quite alarming, especially since the bank refused to let us out and my sister is quite stubborn, especially when faced with danger... her natural instinct is to double down." Maybe that's what makes her strong, though.

"Yes, that address is fine. If all goes well, we can discuss Skill Cards *and* Frosts next time, on my end," Myunghon chuckles, and nods as they go to take a seat. This is promising to be a pretty good trip to Mementos. Things are looking up, even as scary as things are happening in the physical world.

Yes, they have to believe, as Akari no doubt believes in Ixquic...
