There is a very small uptick in calls to the Joker Killer from the conspiracy theorist community and those around Sumaru City who are particularly vulnerable to cult-like behavior. Mostly though, rumors begin to start about 'time travel' in contradictory ways. Some earnest and speculative, others derisive and dismissive.

'- if you are watching dear old dad. I am coming to give you a hug.'
"What should we do about this, Sir?" An Aide-de-Camp asked over the finish of the video on his smart phone, and silence lingered in the air, before the rhythmic tapping of a cane against the metal floor of the Nichirinmaru began anew with a hollow clang of impact, one slow foot step after another, as the Elder Sudou continued to walk, without answering him.
"Sir?" The tapping of the cane ceased for a moment, as he didn't turn to look at him, "... You never lived in a world without a rabies vaccine for pets, did you?"
"Uh, no sir. It's always been available that I remember." The tapping of the cane began anew, and the aide-de-camp quickened his pace to keep in step, the Elder Sudou continuing to talk.
"How soon this generation forgets life before modern convenience. When you raise a dog, you become attached to them. Even when they became lame, you continued to keep them around from the memories of the time when they actually had use. But every so often, a dog got bitten on the trail by some feral animal, and began to foam a few weeks later. When that happened, it was only so long before they began to snap at their master, at the village children that wandered by. So you took them out back... and you took care of it. It was in the days before weapons legislation was quite so stringent. So you performed this responsibility with either your rifle - or a blade."
The tapping stops, and he looks then at the Tenchu Officer directly, "A true man used a blade, taking the risk of being bitten to handle the matter as discreetly as possible."
"... I-I see. I'll see it done, Sir."
Tatsuzou Sudou began his walk again towards the Kotodama chamber, his expression as neutral as if he had just ordered breakfast from an assistant.

Hisataka Shinjo watches the video come to a conclusion as if he were looking at a butterfly flying to the board to be pinned of his own accord. "Do you know why you hate him so? It is because if you stare at a bonfire long enough, you begin to see shapes flicker in the darkness around the edges."
Shifting two baoding balls in his hand, he sets the two to revolving in circles around each other with an eerie silence, given what's within each is intended to make sounds as one does. "Remain transfixed and flame itself will be imprinted upon the eye." He says, with a small adjustment of his designer sunglasses, before he turns around.
"And one will think they see shadows. Will you fade into nothing as the 'Dark Sun' that is 'the Father' smothers your empty existence with that perverse glow-"
Two gunshots ring out, with a distinct shattering of glass and crumpling of machinery. Shinjo doesn't seem to care about the discharge of the firearm around him, continuing as if it were merely cigarette smoke. "-or will you feast upon original sin and manage to persist on this fool's errand?"
Two security cameras in the room now were mauled fixtures, "I have no patience for your word games. Tell me how you know that!" The one in the Black Mask commanded, as he pointed that same gun at Shinjo's forehead. The other man raised the baoding balls and smiled, as he rotated them again. "He hears all, Hollow Boy. But you are not here to solve that particular mystery."
He pulled the trigger again - Shinjo's head jerking back for a moment, before his neck joint slowly whiplashed, now sporting a hole in his forehead.
The one in the Black Mask's eyes went wide at what he saw there as he blurted out, "W-What the hell ARE YOU?" There was no view of brain matter or skull, no trickle of blood- merely /darkness/ he continued as the one in the Black Mask gaped in alarm as Shinjo's opposite hand grabbed his right wrist, and twisted the aim of the gun away with a strength that /nearly/ surpassed his own.
Growling, the other one brought up his blade in a sweeping arc, only to see the other catch it between the two balls in his hand, drawing only a thin trickle of black from the palm. "How-" The one in the Black Mask breathed as he tried to move the blade and found he couldn't, like it was caught in a vise, "-how are you THIS STRONG?"
Staring him in the red lenses covering his eyes the man continued, like the question was utterly irrelevant. "Would you like to know the price of 'his' assistance?"
