  • Summary: Aigis is going to need a wardrobe to blend in, and that can mean only one thing: shopping trip! Also, magnets are involved.

<Pose Tracker> Yukari Takeba has posed.

"Alright... I went through my closet and-!" She holds up the Gekkoukan Winter Uniform to Aigis. "Sorry. This is pretty much the only outfit I had that would cover enough."

Nearly all of Yukari's outfits show a little skin. "We'll just say you get really cold!" Then she examines her neck, "Hmmm. A knit scarf would be too much, probably...? Though..." She gives the side of Aigis' neck a second glance. "Actually, you know what? With this on, your neck just looks like another layer underneath. And your legs don't look that far off from tights..."

By the rising optimistic pitch of her voice, it's becoming more clear how on board she is with this plan, "You know this could really work! Just one problem..."

Yukari brings up a pair of old shoes. Then looks down at Aigis' feet. "How are we even going to keep these on? Maybe magnets? Are your feet something magnets would work on?"

Pause.

"Would magnets even be safe near you?" She looks between Fuuka, Ririka, and Moriko. "Any ideas?"

Secondhand Clothes in Kichijoji is a sprawling Secondhand store down the main thoroughfare. Despite the location, Yukari Takeba picked this place for a reason. There's several racks outside, but then rows upon rows of old clothing, both trash and treasures all throughout.

Also important, there's only one employee on right now, and not too many customers this time of day in the mid-afternoon.

"And looks like our first test is a success. Nobody even looked twice on the whole way over!" Yukari remarks, as they get to the back of the Secondhand Clothes, out of earshot. "So our goal here today is to get you a real wardrobe, Aigis-san. On a budget, there's nothing better than a store like this."

She has a small grin plastered onto her face.

"We'll build it up for you, then after today just start replacing tit one piece at a time with something you like better!"

The secondhand shops in Harajuku were too expensive. But this store gives you a worthwhile amount of store credit for the outfits you have and was super cheap.

"Now everyone remember- dresses, ensembles that cover as much as possible. The more the better. Sure it'll look a little old-fashioned, but honestly? Aigis looks really cute like that."

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Ririka's dressed pretty casually today, which for her means a black band tee, a denim vest over it, a purple skirt, and her favorite (non-chunky) boots.

She watches Yukari's efforts. "Well, at least the uniform works, so you're covered for school..."

"Yeah, and a 'turtleneck' and 'tights' should work well with a lot of stuff..." But she frowns as Yukari brings up... shoes. "Thaaaat...." She frowns a little. "Maybe we can put something in them so they don't move around...? Or... tie them down?"

ONE TRAIN RIDE LATER

"Yeah!" enthuses Ririka to the first test's success. "Oh, and Takeba-san, it looks like you picked a really good store."

She nods as Yukari reminds them of what they're looking for. "We should try to get things that can be put together in multiple ways, right? Like... if you get a nice sweater you can pair it with a lot of different things."

<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.

Moriko's looking over the offered clothes. Adding, "I have.. a spare biker jacket and pants that would work." For covering things up that is. She goes from contemplative to a very brief scowl, "Too close to some movies." Shaking her head at that.

Leaning back, looking down she is giving the shoes question serious thought. "Grip tape? Stuff like I slap onto my bike where my knees rest so it's easier to sling it around maybe." Crossing her arms, "Just precludes some shoes. Would be easier with cosplay. We could do little.. parts and false heels or something."

Still, Moriko's dressed in a red tee, her bike jacket, pale colored shorts with a clear cream colored hem and her biker boots. Which somewhat detracts, but confirms the vibe she usually puts off.

"It's all about confidence right?" Moriko replies to the idea that no one looked their way. "People keep their heads down unless you're being weird." Which. She's familiar with. It's fine.

The store's a good one though and the biker girl's already started slowly picking through a few things. Leaning back from time to time to glance to Aigis.

"Should have brought that magazine..." oh well. "Could look at some of the foreign outfits." She suggests at the idea of covering up. "That's still kinda a thing right?"

<Pose Tracker> Fuuka Yamagishi has posed.

Fuuka considers the outfit Yukari presents. The Gekkoukan winter uniform...

"Well, I suppose it'll make her look like a student, at least." Fuuka comments. Just as no one wonders why she's wearing it during vacation... or in the summer. Chances are, though, no one would look twice. She considers, then Yukari's next suggestions... And then, finally, the big question that's been hanging all of them.

What to do about shoes?

Magnets... Without knowing how her data is stored, it's hard to say - and that feels a bit invasive to ask... Still, thinking about it gives her some ideas.

"Perhaps if we combined it with a locking mechanism, we'd be able to get away with using weaker magnets... Something that clasps around the base of her foot and slides in to secure itself..." Fuuka theorizes. ...She pauses and looks sheepish for a moment, realizing how incredibly nerdy what she just said was.

They all find themselves in the Secondhand Clothes store that Yukari has brought them to. It's an impressive find... leave it to Yukari to know about a place like this.

"This place is incredible, Yukari-chan..." Fuuka notes. Huddling in the back out of earshot, Fuuka listens as Yukari lays out the missions. Ensembles that cover as much as possible, old-fashioned...

...That's pretty easy for her to look for, actually. Fuuka moves away to look at the sweaters, though as she does, she looks Aigis's way.

"Aigis-san, do you have any particular colors or patterns you like?" Fuuka asks. That'll help narrow down the selection somewhat...

<Pose Tracker> Aigis has posed.

Aigis eyes the winter uniform that Yukari presents her with. "I believe that will suffice, yes."

She smiles at Yukari as she offers a potential explanation for anyone who wonders why she's wearing the winter uniform. "My surface temperature is fairly cool, as well, so anyone who questions this claim can verify by touch." While she looks pleased at this notion, maybe that's a little bit overboard, Aigis ...

After having listened to almost all of Yukari's explanation, Aigis nods in confirmation. "I agree with your overall assessment. I had this in mind when I attempted to locate a suitable garment on Yakushima. The main components to hide are my visible joints, but as you say, my aramid casing simply appears like other layers of clothing once it's concealed."

About magnets, however: "That should not be a problem. While I do have some components which are possibly sensitive to potent magnetic fields, those are primarily located in my torso. Magnets should provide no issue when they're attached to my feet. I do not believe it will be much of an issue unless it comes in the form of a strong electromagnetic pulse." Shortly after, she gives Fuuka a nod after she confirms this.

    -=-=-

One change into the winter uniform and train ride later ...

In the secondhand clothes shop proper, Aigis takes a few moments to scan the racks. She nods at Yukari, then at Ririka and Moriko. "I did acquire some funds of my own to contribute towards this endeavor."

The rest seems to go over her head for now. Old-fashioned sounds like it's something negative, cute sounds like it's something positive, but how does one quantify these attributes on clothing?

Minato and Reiya had exposed her to Drake Adventure over the last few days, but buying clothing in a real brick-and-mortar store is a different experience than going to the next town's shop to get equipment which raises your characters' ATK and DEF stats.

"What is ... optimal?" she asks aloud. Ririka mentions being able to mix and match different ensembles together in multiple ways, so do real-world outfits have a set bonus ..? Moriko mentions foreign outfits, which Aigis thinks could be good, since she does look pretty foreign with her blonde hair and blue 'eyes.'

Fuuka asks her what her preferences are, and it's a lifeline in a sea of information overload. "I have heard that it is good to coordinate with the colors of one's natural features, so I believe blue would be good. I'm not certain about patterns just yet ..."

<Pose Tracker> Yukari Takeba has posed.

Yukari does look somewhat concerned about the verify with a touch part. "Uhhh maybe don't let strangers touch you so casually... boys could get, really weird about that."

Yukari can just imagine a scene of entering her home room to see Aigis being touched by all the boys in class and her soul just withers a little.

"Then... great!" She says to Aigis' evaluation of her aramid casing (What is aramid? Questions for later!)

"A... biker jacket?" Yukari looks befuddled by Moriko's selection, "Do we really want her to look like some Bosozuku? Getting hassled by police is the last thing we need... if they look too closely..."

However, Fuuka considers the problem and- "A locking mechanism?" She asks, confused, which may not help Fuuka's impression of how nerdy she sounds.

But then after Fuuka explains, and Aigis confirms magnets aren't a worry unless it's a very strong pulse near the torso- "Well hey then, that sounds perfect, Fuuka-chan? What all would we need to make that? Like, a trip to a hardware store? I bet if we leave now to get the parts we can still make the train to Tokyo before it gets too late."

-=-=-

As Ririka and Fuuka praises her, she grins some, "Hey thanks! Glad you approve. I'm just really into shopping around..." As she then sounds subtly embarrassed, "...I've probably been to half the stores in Tokyo trying to find the real deals."

Yukari doesn't have the largest budget, being estranged from her mother, but she makes what she has work by putting in the time.

Aigis however has her own budget, "Oh! Hey! Well if that's the case, then it'll save me some store credit." She looks down the racks, "Maybe I'll even grab something for myself.

Fuuka asks about colors, patterns, Yukari nods at Ririka's point, "Versatility like that is pretty key, especially since Aigis would benefit a lot from layers." She then glances at Moriko, "Do you mean if foreign is in? Or a more conservative look? European designers are always considered pretty chic, but brand sure isn't everything."

But Aigis herself asks what's optimal???

"Huh?" Before she repeats the word, "Optimal... Well- the only thing that needs to happen is it should always cover as much as you can. But otherwise... you should just go nuts!" Yukari smiles, as she puts her hands behind her back.

"Fashion is about self-expression. Think of it like - how you want to present yourself to the world. Not just how people see you, but more how you want to be seen. So... what do you like Aigis? What do you think would be interesting?"

Blue... gets a nod, "Rightttt, like the dress you were wearing in Yakushima? That sundress really fit you. Okay! Let's fan out and get Aigis some options!"

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Moriko has a suggestion, and Ririka looks at her. "You know, that brings up a good point... Aigis-chan, we should use this chance to figure out what styles you like." Not everyone likes leather jackets, after all. (Ririka is thinking about getting one, though.)

Fuuka has a suggestion on the shoes thing, though, and Ririka gives her a smile. "Wow, Yamagishi-san. Do you really think we can put something like that together?"

Nerdy? Perhaps. Unappreciated? Never.

"Aigis-chan, you probably shouldn't ask people to verify that by touch, it's..." Ririka struggles how to put it gently. "... might give people the wrong idea. And some people can be real creeps."

But Aigis has funds! "That's great! Hopefully etgween all of us, we can get a decent haul."

Set bonuses might be overselling it, but things can definitely synergize. But blue... "Oh yeah, you were wearing that blue dress when we first met you, right?"

But Yukari knows where all the deals are. "Wow... I hope you have better luck finding deals than I do." You know, 'cause she's so tall and everything.

"So if we're looking for blue things to start..." Ririka's humming to herself as she walks out into the store. She'll return in a bit with a few different options.

Jeans and longer skirts, and a few different tops, including a few that might layer together. "Does any of this look interesting, Aigis-chan? I dont know if you have a particular style, so I got a few different things."

<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.

Moriko actually manages to look at least a little offended, "I don't get pulled over by the police." That often. She pauses. "It hasn't happened in a while."

She is, after all, wearing such a jacket. Even if it's in dull greys and blues and not in black with studs or anything.

Moriko adjusts her jacket though. She's happy with it. Huff.

"I mean European chic would work too. I was thinking more-" she pauses, looking to Ririka, "You know what I mean right? The stuff you see on some of those mixed sports events?" She watches the dirtbike events, she can't be bothered with the rest. "The skateboarding ones?"

"Layers are part of it though." She adds, looking back to Yukari. "Probably not quite what we're after though." She admits. A bit tomboyish.

Arms crossed, she asks, "Have we considered something like blouses and overalls or something? Those are cute." She thinks they are.

Fuuka does bring up colors and patterns though. Moriko rocks back on her heels lightly and consideres that too. Even with an answer of blues. She begins to pick through the clothes agian. "Tank and a loose long sleeved top's both cute and kinda covering?" She calls out. "Maybe not." This is hard when you're trying to obfuscate. "Dresses might be easiest." Not quite defeat. "Could go the Dutch route if you're talking traditional." She means.. the traders that would wear kimonos. She just doesn't say it. This surely won't be confusing.

<Pose Tracker> Fuuka Yamagishi has posed.

Fuuka listens as Aigis explains the magnet situation. So the things to worry about are in her torso... but it should be fine as long it isn't a strong electromagnetic pulse.

...She doubts any of them would have access to such a thing, but Fuuka keeps that in mind.

Fuuka looks a little sheepish about Yukari's confusion, but Ririka expresses enthusiasm...

"Yes, um... I think it shouldn't take long to assemble, as long as we can find what we need..." Fuuka confirms to both of them. "I'll provide a list on the way."

It's a fairly simple design, all told... though it might be a little complex if you don't have the head for it. There's even an emergency quick-release, just in case!

Versatility is key... Fuuka nods thoughtfully - and Aigis offers an answer. She nods to that, too.

"So, shades of blue... We try a few different patterns, too, and see if there's anything that stands out to you." She considers. Yukari makes an important point, though.

What does Aigis like? What does she think would be interesting? Fuuka is interested to see what those answers turn out to be.

"It's okay if you don't know yet, either... You can figure it out as you go." Fuuka assures - then looks toward Moriko as she provides some suggestions. She has a lot of ideas...

"You seem to know a lot about this, Kumamoto-san..." Fuuka considers. She's suggesting things from all over - it's a little impressive.

For Fuuka's part, the outfits she selects... A heavy sweaters and long skirts, as well as some long dresses, some plain, some with floral patterns, some lacy, and some ruffled... She's picked out a few matching shawls, as well.

Old-fashioned... might be putting it mildly, when it comes to Fuuka's recommendations. But that's what she likes...

<Pose Tracker> Aigis has posed.

Everyone else (rightly) seems to be against the idea of verifying the fact that she is cold via touch. Aigis doesn't protest this -- they know better than she does. "Understood. I will trust you on this matter, and acquiesce."

Aigis pleasantly smiles at Fuuka's makeshift shoe-fitting contraption. "Thank you very much, Yamagishi-san. Your expertise is very much appreciated."

    -=-=-

Yukari explains that 'optimal' clothing choice is all about self-expression. She can work with that. (What was the term that Moriko had used earlier ..? Oh! Right!)

Aigis pumps both of her fists at her sides with a burning look of determination look on her face. "If proper fashion selection is a matter of how I desire the world to see me, then I wish to appear as one of 'the muscle' so often depicted in films." She's a guardian, a protector.

She pauses as she realizes a potential problem with that idea, and her countenance fades as she turns back to Yukari and admits, "However, that seems to go against your prior suggestion to avoid being noticed, especially by the police. But that in turn goes against your advice to 'go nuts' ..."

While these seemingly contradictory guidelines confuse her, she at least shows little outward distress as she attempts to quietly resolve them on her own. She takes a few moments to more closely study the styles of the other girls present, hoping to learn by example. "There appears to be some nuance to this that I do not yet fully comprehend. It may be best to say that I wish to exude 'strength' or 'protection' and start there."

Ririka provides a few options which mix jeans and different tops, Moriko provides a few top layer combinations ... "I feel that dresses may be easiest to start with for now, as they are less likely to leave the joints in my shoulders and legs exposed. Other options may appeal better to my sense of fashion, but present a structural risk."

Fuuka's selection seems to strike the right balance, in Aigis' eyes. While pointing to a dress with a lacy pattern, she says, "This one stands out to me. These multiple fibers weaving together ..."

<Pose Tracker> Yukari Takeba has posed.

Acquiescing sure is a relief on this one, and likely averted some kind of disaster.

"Uhhhh-huh." Is her skeptical response to Moriko- "'In a while'? We can't even afford once with Aigis!" Indeed, she can see all kinds of disaster situations if a police officer takes too close a look at her.

A quick trip to the hardware store and-

"Fuuka. You're a genius." Yukari says, impressed as they see Aigis in the finished product. "There's no chance that anyone would be able to tell!"

-=-=-

"I'm pretty good at it." Yukari replies to Ririka with no small amount of pride. "Or at least I try to be. The good news is that Aigis is my height, which simplifies things some."

Ririka is tall, and Yukari isn't going to call attention to it exactly - but outfits for taller girls just tend to be more difficult to find and can cost a little more when you do.

Moriko however talks about- "Skateboarding? Uhhhh-" She looks Aigis' way, then back at Moriko. "-Well I guess just- we'll take a look when you've put it together."

Aigis - however, notes the way she wants to be seen, "Huh!? Ah! Hmmmm." She hums, as if considering the problem, even as Aigis points out the contradictions. "... A protector." She murmurs, to repeat it, "Well not all those things have to be mutually exclusive. A Guardian can still look cute- and express themselves. Come on Aigis-san - let's take a look. If it's something you like, point it out. And we'll do what we can to make it work!"

It takes Yukari turning off the side of her brain that looks for her style, to begin to consider other outfits. "Let's go simple for now. I'll put in some thought as to how we can make it work..."

So while the others focus on outfits, she starts work on accessorizing Because - while she can make other outfits work, she definitely sees the same problem Aigis does of certain areas coming uncovered.

A few different colored pairs of gloves for different seasons, including a pair of long, some pairs of tights, some more scarves, several dress length coats...

... "... Huh." She looks Aigis' way, then back. "... Well security is often depicted as wearing a suit..."

After a few more minutes, she brings back a salarywoman outfit. A black pencil skirt that's knee length, a white blouse, and a button up long sleeved black coat, with a tie, and another all black pant suit that could be swapped out.

"It's not really what any girls our age would wear, but it would make you look professional when you really want to?"

She's at least trying her best to figure out something that would suit Aigis' specifications.

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

"European chic...? I don't think I'm that familiar..." Nor is she with mixed sports events. Skateboarding, though. "Well, that's kind of a different thing altogether, isn't it? I know it works for me, but if Aigis-chan wants to try it, I can look for something..."

"Nah, I think layering could work, honestly... if you get a nice dress without sleeves you can layer it over different tops, right?"

Fuuka confirms she can build it. "That's amazing, Yagishi-san. Do you know what kind of store we need to hit up? Maybe we can stop on the way back..."

Aigis expresses how she wishes to be seen, and Ririka blinks and stares at her for a moment before remembering where that expresion came from. She' trying not to laugh (though it's a good-natured laugh!) "Okay, Aigis-chan. We can work on that. But there's a lot of ways to look tough, too." But she doesn't want to get noticed by police. "Wellll, there's ways to look tough that don't make you look like trouble..."

But Aigis provides an assessment, and Ririka nods as she considers that. "So go for dresses for now... okay, that makes sense. No problem. This is all about figuring out what you like and what'll work for you. I'll put these back."

Ririka is going to appreciate her height not being called out. "That's a really handy skill to have." Ririka doesn't struggle with money as much, but she has a friendw ho does. "Yeah, that's pretty lucky..."

Based on Aigis' preferences, she starts looking for dresses, but she looks over when Yukari brings out the salarywoman outfit and the pants suit. "Oh, yeah, Takeba-san, that's awesome. And if you really want to sell 'muscle'... hang on." Ririka dips away, to head to where she saw some accessories, and comes back with...

A pair of shades. "Shades and a dark suit basically read as 'bodyguard.'" Which, in a way, is her objective, regarding the Arisato twins.

<Pose Tracker> Fuuka Yamagishi has posed.

Yukari calls her a genius, and Ririka says it's amazing. Fuuka looks briefly sheepish.

"U-umm... Thank you." She replies. It's rare to get that kind of positive reinforcement... Aigis smiles, though, and thanks her. "You're welcome... I'm glad it works for you. If it feels uncomfortable or it gets in the way, let me know and I can adjust it."

...Is it possible for it to feel uncomfortable for her? Fuuka wonders about that, briefly - but for now it seems to work, so it's probably fine...

Aigis explains the look she wants to present. She wants to be... the muscle? A look of surprise crosses her face. That's... not what she expected. But Yukari bring it around to 'protector' and 'bodyguard', and that makes a bit more sense. Fuuka nods thoughtfully...

Aigis does seem to like the outfits she presented, and points out a dress with a lacy pattern, in particular.

"Mm-hm. It's beautiful, isn't it? I really like outfits like that." Fuuka comments.

She looks toward the outfits Yukari is considering, taking Aigis's preferences in mind.

A salarywoman outfit and a dark suit... and shades, courtesy of Ririka.

"That might stand out a little... but I suppose it doesn't read as robot, either." Fuuka considers. That's probably fine...?

<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.

Moriko shakes her head, starts to say something, then lets it drop. The cop thing's probably close enough to true, even if she doesn't think Aigis has the vibe to draw their attention that way even in a race jacket.

As for the skater thing she holds her hands up, "I didn't say we should, just throwing ideas out. They're loose and covering. It fills the criteria."

"Cute and protective are.. yeah. What Takeba said." She nods Yukari's way, "Though-" she chews her lip. "Business-y might work. Just, not too old on that." There's a joke there. Surely.

Moriko herself, is laughing though. Just, you know. That sensible in-joke chuckle? It's not at Aigis at least!

Yukari more or less came to the same conclusion she had though and that's. "Yeah."

Moriko also nods to Fuuka, "Yeah, no rush. We've got the day to test things and find what you like." As for knowing a lot though? Her hands go up, "I know what looks nice when I'm referencing it for art. I'm terrible at wearing any of them."

"The ruffled one is cute I think." She agrees again, "Maybe not her vibe?" She points, "Might be cute some time though."

There's a brief pause though as her brain clicks back around and she gets a wide grin, "Takeba-san, you know my first suggestion was right." She can't help it. She's clearly joking about it. "A race jacket and pants wouldn't be a bad mixup." She adds quickly, in a more serious tone.

<Pose Tracker> Aigis has posed.

Moriko's suggestion about a skateboarding outfit does go over Aigis' head; it's not something she can easily visualize on her own. "As Takeba-san and Kawase-son both suggest, I might have a better idea about whether this 'skateboarding chic' appeals if I could see an example."

Yukari's accessorizing options garner Aigis' keen interest. She does have a note, though: "It may be best to limit gloves to fingerless gloves. Otherwise, they may become fingerless in short order." A beat. "I could simply take the gloves off first, though ... or not wear them on dangerous excursions."

She looks down at the red ribbon on her chest. "Do you think this could be fashioned into a tie ..?"

Ririka interprets 'the muscle' as 'tough,' but ... going in that direction strikes Aigis as straying a little bit away from the intended mark. Aigis looks to her and further clarifies, "I think a few other words that fit my aim are ones such as 'inspiring' or 'reassuring'."

'Big-sisterly' and 'motherly' also briefly came to Aigis' mind, but those are less of an exact fit, overshooting just as much as 'tough' did, but in the other direction.

In addition to several of the casual sweaters and dresses which Fuuka's picked out, now Yukari's pair of more professional-looking outfits also yield a nod from Aigis. "I believe those also fit within my aesthetic preferences, yes."

"I would like for others to take me seriously, so if such attire conveys that, that suits me just fine." Aside from the emphasis, her delivery of her joke is completely deadpan.

She tries on the sunglasses which Ririka offers her and looks in the mirror, but something about this additional accessory seems off. It obscures her eyes, but that's what she wanted to accessorize around.

"Race jacket?" Aigis looks in Moriko's direction and blinks. "Do you have a visual reference for what that looks like?"

<Pose Tracker> Yukari Takeba has posed.

"Eh, don't worry about it. That's what I'm here for." She says to Ririka with a smile, before inspecting Fuuka's outfit.

"It is really cute." Yukari says, because look- she's not into that style, but it really works for Fuuka.

And since Aigis has to cover up, it has to work for her too.

Aigis however points out the fingerless option, and Yukari considers that, "Wellll... maybe? You're not gonna be fighting that often when dressed up like this, unless it's an ambush. But- I think we should still take some. Besides? If someone tried to hassle you under normal circumstances, you wouldn't even need..." She waves at her fingers. "...those! Maybe some long grey fingerless though. I think I saw some over there..."

"Yeahhhh." She agrees with Fuuka, "It's not ideal, but you know, what is?" Whereas to Moriko, "Well, most twenty somethings wear something like this during Office Work. It's just... we're trying to pass her off as a teenager."

It's definitely not something she'd go for, but fashion is about what Aigis would go for.

But then Aigis, makes a pun! "Wha-!" She groans, "Aigis... I think you've been hanging around the Chairman a little too much. But hey- I'm just glad you like it."

Then Moriko gives suggestion, "Huh?" Before she turns sidelong to Moriko, then cocks her head, "Oh yeah I can kinda see it... though that's not exactly how you presented it in the first place..." She says, side eyeing her.

Then she looks up, "Maybe we can sell it to a cop if she's never seen near a motorcycle... you know what, I'm gonna go grab a few more outfits. We've gotta make sure she's ready for the start of the fall semester!"

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Ririka skateboards. She understands the awkwardness of having 'unusual' interests, and is, of course, going to celebrate it in others.

"A little it, maybe," Ririka agrees with Fuuka. "But not in a bad way, I don't think... plus, it's nice to have options, right? Sometimes you're in the mood to dress a different way." Ririka, for instance, doesn't wear her stage look all the time.

"It's not a bad idea, Kumamoto-chan. But--" Aigis points out an example would help. "Well, I can show you some of what I wear skating, or if I see something I'll point it out."

Aigis offers a correction on where Ririka's mind had been going. "Ohhhh, okay, gotcha. Sorry, just, that's what I think of first when I hear 'the muscle'. But... Inspiring and reassuring are cool directions to go." She pauses for a moment. "... I'm not sure how exactly to reflect that in an outfit, though..." She looks to the others. "Any thoughts?"

"Suits are definitely serious." And if Aigis doesn't like the shades, Ririka will happily take them back to where she found them.

She'll also come back with a few examples of skateboarder gear. Cargo pants, tank tops, long-sleeved flannel shirts. "Covering up when skateboarding's important-- in case you bail you don't want to get a skin rash, you know?"

She nods to Yukari. "I'll leave it to the expert, then," she says with a smile. "But since we seem to be getting a better idea of what you like, I'll look for more stuff like that."

<Pose Tracker> Fuuka Yamagishi has posed.

"It's alright. I think that's a talent that has to be worked up to..." Fuuka replies with a nod toward Moriko. "I think it's still impressive that you're that knowledgeable."

Aigis makes a very good observation. Fingerless gloves are very important.

"...Oh, yes." Fuuka agrees. ...She hadn't even thought about that. She nods, though, as Yukari points out that it's not ideal, but what is?

"That's true..." She agrees, and nods toward Ririka. "You're right, it's better to have the option."

Aigis clarifies her arms. Inspiring or reassuring...

"I think that's a great presence to aim for." She replies. But how to embody that in an outfit...? That's a good question. "Let me think..."

And with that, Fuuka disappears back into the wilderness of the clothing aisles.

<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.

Moriko points to Ririka when prompted about skater-chic, "I figured it would be her specialty. I might have been wrong." She shrugs, offering a vaguely wry smile, "I only watched the dirtbike stuff like I said." She doesn't do dirt bikes. Yet.

"There's a few options there." She admits, regarding inspiring and reassuring. Though that's going to be grabbing onto ephemeral subjects. "Could show you some sketches and what I use for references back at the dorm later."

As for taking her seriously? She's not sure how to help there. That might be a later thing. She doesn't get taken too seriously herself she thinks!

The biker in question does strike a pose when she catches Yukari looking her way, "I wasn't talking the old movie black leather sort." She pats her own jacket and adjusts the collar, "I like this one." She's proud of it! "And she doesn't have to worry about finding someone to punch breathing holes in it." As for the cop, she admits, "I mean. I have a spare helmet and offer rides often enough. Could just blame me for being overly strict about safety."

Moriko herself eventually returns with something a bit different than what her usual attitude would suggest. Simple blouses and long skirts with darker colors matched to pale and light heels. She still thinks that might be a way around their footwear issue. "Back home, if I'm only working at the inn, I wear stuff like this more often." Which... she somehow seems less confident of than her jacket. Go figure.

"Thanks." She adds, a little reassured to Fuuka, "I had to get help recently though so-" there's a pause. "Could maybe get some outside help. "We have a blonde exchange student that wants help with chic clothing." while looking to Ririka.

 She doesn't explain herself again

<Pose Tracker> Aigis has posed.

Aigis still likes the suits that Yukari had picked out, even if they may be for someone older than the rest of the group! "Perhaps we can include those in the wardrobe for occasional use, and the bulk of my available selection is comprised of more casual wear. As Kawase-chan says, it is nice to have options."

She nods at Yukari's commentary on the gloves. "Understood. I may have been overthinking matters ..."

Aigis inclines her head to Yukari in slight confusion over her consternation at her pun. "I have not been hanging around the Chairman for long. He has seemingly left me to my own devices for the time being. What causes you to believe that I have been?" (it's the hand he played in your creation, aigis. the puns make it all the more apparent.)

At this precise moment, the skateboarder cargo pants and flannel don't quite resonate with Aigis. Maybe they could at some later date, when she gets a better idea of who she is and what messages that clothing items convey.

"Oh, that's a 'race jacket'. Hmm ..." Like the skateboarder outfit, this gets mentally filed away for later as a 'maybe!'

Moriko's casual wear choices get another approving nod from Aigis. "I like those, Kumamoto-chan."

Before Fuuka disappears entirely, Aigis turns to her and asks, "Could I trouble you for your opinion on a few more dresses? What would a suitable variety be?"
