(|============================= Yumezaki Center ==============================|)
-=============================================== Sumaru City/Yumezaki Ward ====-
Yumezaki Center is unmistakable: countless bright billboards invite and welcome
in people of all walks to walk down its indoor and outdoor shops. One of those
doors leads to the Velvet Room--but that's only for those who can see it.

One of the more casual stores is Tony's Shop, which is really just several
tables on the sidewalk set up with various rings, necklaces, bracelets, and
other accessories. Tony, the stoned-looking blond foreigner who runs it, is
supposedly a smuggler for the Sicilian mafia, if you can believe it--but he does
have some rare goods for sale at times.

One can chow down at Peace Diner, which offers a variety of burgers, fries and
shakes; the part-timer who works the register is infamous for being a big fan of
period dramas and so talking like a ninja. Sevens rumormonger Chika "Chikarin"
Ueda, a first-year, likes to hang out here too to swap info for her school
newspaper.

A burnished bro in a Hawaiian shirt runs Bikini Line, a tan salon with a
tropical aesthetic, including palm trees, tiki totem poles, and an abundance of
hibiscus flowers. Though it might seem a little shady--literally--the tanning
booths here work wonders, leaving clients feeling healed in mind and body.

And, of course, it's not Sumaru City without a local Satomi Tadashi Pharmacy
branch. This one looks the same as all the others: aisles and walls laden with
medicine of all kinds, overseen from the back counter where magazines are
available by one of seven identical sisters. Satomi Sister #7 runs this one; a
techno remix of the store's theme plays here. "The eternal ally of those who
fight: our city's friendly! drug! store!! o/`"

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

"So that's what's going on?" Lisa Silverman asks Chikarin, thoughtful as she gets an answer to the question she'd asked. "Huhhh..."

"Yep!" Chikarin answers, the blue-haired girl grinning at the idol before her. "Not bad, huh? So, what's yours?"

"...Well," she says, "I overheard at the studio these people talking about..."

Lisa stands out in a crowd, and so does Chikarin, the Rumormonger. The Peace Diner is a warm, yellow-ish sort of place with various booths and a girl at the counter who talks all formal, like period-drama ninja.

Reiya doesn't talk like that, but maybe he would if he weren't being secretive.

There's a little of a line...

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Ririka goes to Sumaru... rather a lot. And she doesn't mind, for the most part, since she wants to support her sister. But that's still a lot of train time, and sometimes it's just easier, after classes and band practice, to eat out here. And it's nice to mix things up every once in a while, so...

> omw onee-chan. Burgers okay?

And so she is here, grabbing burgers. Ririka also stands out in a crowd, not particularly for being famous (though she is a little Known), but mainly for being so tall. Today's dressed in a light jacket, t-shirt, cargo pants, and sneakers, her hair in a ponytail.

She steps inside and... oh, there's a line. Well, that must just mean the food is good, right? She moves to start getting in line, but then pauses as she sees Lisa. Oh, she should go say hi... but the line...

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

At least Ichika can drive Ririka home if they want; that's an option. Ichika, of course, answers:

>Sounds great. Bring extra fries?

But here and now, Lisa stands out primarily for being white and blonde, even before people recognize her as an idol. But she also recognizes--

"OK," she says to Chikarin, "Sec, there's this girl--"

She walks over to the line. "Hey... Kawase-san, right?" Lisa inquires. "From the concert?"

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Ririka will admit getting rides home is pretty nice.

> Sure thing!

But before she can deliberate, Lisa happens to come to her. "Oh, hey, yeah, that's me. Are... you doing okay?" That was a rather strong last impression...

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

Lisa smiles back. "Oh, uh, that."

She rubs the back of her neck as a gesture. "Sorry-ia... I wanted to apologize for storming off. I just kinda lost my temper..."

"But I'm fine, I'm fine!"

"It was just kinda lucky to run into you here, was all."

"So you're back in Sumaru?"

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

"Oh, there's no need to apologize," ririka says with a hopefully reassuring smile. "You seemed like you were having a hard time, and I don't think Mishina-san was helping things any..." She won't repeat that nickname.

But she's fine. "That's good to hear."

"Eh heh... Yep. I'm actually out here to visit my sister. I'm picking up dinner for us." She nods her head at the line she's in. "You here to pick up dinner, too?"

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

A hard time? "I'm fine," she says again, to make sure it settles this time. "...He kinda drives me nuts," she admits, "But it was his show, so I didn't want to make a scene or anything." It is best not to repeat the nickanme. Even though it's definitely part of her namecard now.

"Oh, your sister? Does she go to school in Sumaru?" Lisa can ask a personal question because she also has a sister!

"I was mostly just in to check in with Chikarin," Lisa admits, gesturing to the girl in the Sevens uniform. "She tends to know what's up when you want to know what's going on in town. You just have to trade her something interesting to know, too."

Pause. "...I could go for a burger, though..."

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Ririka will definitely not repeat it! "Okay, okay." If she says she's fine, Ririka won't press on that. "Yeah, I can understand that..."

"Yeah, we're both from Iwatodai, but she wanted to go to school in Sumaru, it's... kind of a long story." She doesn't want to blab her sister's entire life story, but that much is probably safe to say. "But we want to stay in touch, so we make sure to make the time to hang out."

Beat. "... plus she's got a van, now, so I can get rides back, which is kind of nice."

She looks over to the indicated girl. "Oh, I see. Like... a Rumormonger? I've heard of those."

"Well, you're welcome to wait in line with me," she offers with a smile.

There's a beat, and she starts thinking of last time. Her fingers are drumming lightly on her thigh. Should she say something? Is it more awkward to say or not to say? Oh, heck with it. "Say, I wanted to ask last time... are you Lisa Silverman, from MUSES? I really enjoyed your work in SMILE."

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

"Ohhh, OK." Lisa smiles. "That's cool. It's important to spend some time together, as sisters. Especially if you're in different cities for school, I guess... Mine is younger, so she's in elementary."

A van! Lisa is surprised by this. "She's already got her license? Quick work for a high schooler."

But, she knows the term. "Eheh. Yeah. That's what we call them in Sumaru, anyway. So you're familiar!"

"Thanks!"

She will. And then--

"Oh! Yeah," Lisa says. "That's me! Thanks! Getting to cameo in a big movie was a lot of fun."

And of course, the songs.

"You're in a group yourself, right? Polychord, was it?"

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

"Yeah, it is," Ririka agrees of spending time with sisters. "Oh, cool. I'm actually the youngest of our family. Onee-chan is a year older..."

But there'll be a bigger age gap between her and her eventual sibling, huh... she's still thinking about that.

"Is it really that fast...?" Ririka says, pondering. "I hadn't thought about that..."

"I am! I've talked to one over in Hirasaka before, so." Though they were discussing more of the supernatural side of things...

"Yeah, you guys were great. And congrats on getting that cameo!"

Ririka grins a little, "Eh heh, yep. We're less 'idol' and more 'rock'... well, rock and we mix in whatever else we like."

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

"Oh, cool."

"Yeah! Since you can only get it at 18 for a car like that," Lisa says. "I don't have a lot of need to worry about it, but I know some people who've thought about it. I can walk or take the train most places here in Sumaru."

One in Hirasaka! Cool.

"Thanks!" Lisa smiles. She doesn't seem to know about the supernatural side of things--she certainly doesn't have Resonance. But--

"Oh, yeah, I'm aware. You guys were on TV once though!" So that's a big step. "It's pretty different, right? You get to play whatever you want. But for me, don't tell anybody but a lot of what I like is just getting to dance..."

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

"Oh, yeah, I guess that's true... we both just have early birthdays, so, I guess I didn't think about it." Rirka nods. "Yeah, I'm kind of the same. And my train pass is getting a lot of use, I guess," she says with a small laugh.

"You're welcome!" Ririka grins, "Oh, yeah, we were. On sumaru Sundays." She didn't want to bring it up to sound like bragging.

And, well, that moment still brings up a lot of emotions.

"Yeah, we do. I actually write and arrange a lot of what we do, though Tomori-chan helps me out with lyrics a lot..." Don't tell anybody... Ririka nods seriously. "Oh, yeah, I bet that's a lot of fun, too. We don't really do any choreography... That's more difficult, with the instruments, I guess..."

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

"Seems like!"

Lisa smiles. She doesn't consider it bragging--but then, she is the one who brought it up. MUSES have more fame than Polychord, so it doesn't feel strange to her to pump Ririka up a bit.

...But she doesn't know about that moment's emotions.

"Oh, yeah? That's really something!" Lisa nods along, as the line advances towards the ninja girl. Almost there...

"Yeah," she says, "Instruments would make that harder, huh? But I guess we've got different lanes, and all."

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

Ririka kind of appreciates that Lisa is familiar--and not just because it keeps her from having to bring it up herself. It's also nice to know people have seen the band and that they're getting some reach.

"Yep! But I'm kiiind of a music nerd, so... I find that kind of stuff fun? We started with covers and arrangements, but I wanna start doing more original stuff, too. How do you guys develop your songs for MUSES?"

She has to remind herself to keep an eye on the line, but at least they're making progress.

"Yeah, that's true. But that's what makes it good there's so many different types of music, right?"

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

Lisa has to keep up on these things--it's important!

"It's good to know what you're into!" Lisa agrees amiably. "Original stuff... That's most of what we do--though I mean, I'm not a big songwriter or anything. Meeho really wants to write more of our stuff, though!" A beat, "It sorta varies? Sometimes the manager brings us songs and we see if they're good for us, but we get to contribute more to others. We try to 'draw on our own experiences' or at least get the starting points for ideas."

She nods along. "Yes. It's cool! Do you have any of your CDs on you? I could give one to my friends."

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

That it is! It's why Ririka tries to keep on top of music news, too.

MUSES is mostly original stuff. "Yeah, that makes sense. But, that's cool! I hope you guys get to do that." But she nods as Lisa says it varies. "I see... I guess that's kind of an advantage, huh? That you get help with getting new material..." But drawing on their own experiences... "Yeah, I've been thinking of that, too... there's some stuff that I haven't really figured out how to talk about otherwise..."

But Lisa asks her for a CD, and Ririka blinks a little. "Oh! Um..." Rirka shrugs off her backpack and digs through it. "I think I have... oh! Here we go." She hands over a hand-burned CD-R in a sleeve, with handwritten notes from the band members. "Here. This is one we sold at the show we did this summer, in Tokyo. I hope your friends enjoy it! Oh, and I can also give you our page online, too. We upload a lot of stuff to share it..."

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

"Thanks!" Lisa says. "Mm-hm. Having a manager and all, he can make connections for us we wouldn't be able to make for ourselves--and handle bookings, and get us in touch with fans, and all that. It's really helpful. But going it on your own is kind of cool too, right?"

Things to talk about...

"Mm, yeah. Music's good for that, huh...?" She grows distant for a moment--but the CD solves that.

"Thanks!" Lisa answers. "I'll show Sheba and Meeho. But hmmm, how about..."

SHe pulls her phone. "How about we exchange contact info? That way you can give me the website and I can tell you what they think!"

<Pose Tracker> Ririka Kawase has posed.

"It's really cool, but it's als a lot of work, haha," Ririka admits. "We don't have a manager, really, but I do at least ahve someone I can ask for advice, you know? He runs this cool store that sells instruments in Iwatodai. But it took a lot of work to book that show we did... I'm just glad we got a good turnout, to meet our quota..."

"It really is," ririka agrees, also growing distant for a moment. "I've been doing music almost as long as I can remember..."

But Lisa offers, and Ririka grins. "Oh, sure! That'd be awesome." She gets her phone out, and pulls up the contact info to make the exchange. "This is so cool, I'm glad I ran into you again."

<Pose Tracker> Lisa Silverman has posed.

"Oh, yeah?" Advice... "That's cool." Their quota! The turnout! Lisa gets it. "Me, too!" She doesn't see any reason not to wish for Ririka's success, after all. But...

It seems they both have some things they aren't prepared to share at the moment.

But once they finish exchanging info, "Me too!" It's time to order!!

...But it did go better than their last meeting.
