"Prey subdued."
An immigrant of many years to Kagurazaka, Eveline "Eve" Deschamps radiates the meaning of 'French chic'. A coolly calculating operator who is highly meticulous and brooks no nonsense, she runs Fleur de Lis, a bar and restaurant that serves as a neutral ground for the supernatural happenings of the world. The bar is named after her teenage daughter, Yuri, who she holds as her light in this dark world. Slow to trust yet diehard loyal once she does, possessing a perfectionist streak, and rarely showing her true feelings to strangers, Eveline is a huntress and Navigator of great skill and experience, slickly tracking even the slipperiest foes and serving as a part-time private investigator in her personal life using said skills. Even so, her motives in the field are unclear, masked by her professionalism and unwillingness to elaborate. She harbors a great sadness behind those cold eyes, loathe as she is to explain why.
Background
VIVE LA FRANCE
Season 1, Episode 1
Persona
Guro Rysserova: The horse-tailed witch of the Wild Hunt. Unstoppable, implacable, and connected to figures from other folklore sources such as Gudrun and Kriemhild.
Eve is a powerful Navigator, and her abilities to sense are finely honed after twenty years with these abilities. Her Resonance and scanning sense is primarily scent, filtered into data that gives her the information she seeks. She's practically a human bloodhound for the supernatural. A player may decide their PC's own Resonance scent that fits their character!
Her scanning works on 'how do you relate to conflict and violence'. Your strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities emotionally and otherwise are laid bare (within OOC consent rules!) and allows her to better understand who she's up against.
Unlike many Persona Users, Eve always fights in tandem with her Persona when it attacks. She has trained her combat skills like a muscle, and prefers being in control of the violence.
Special Skills
Eve is skilled at tracking and investigation, working as a private investigator of the more mundane kind who deals with background checks and relationships. She is also the owner of a bar, and is a mean bartender, making drinks in accordance with the person she's talking to.
Eve is heavily well-read on sociology, philosophy, law (mostly French but she's dug into Japanese a bunch too), and psychology. She is a voracious reader and an avid learner, and used to be in law school.
As a Persona User, Eve is incredibly skilled at figuring out Foraine intel, and does not need to do legwork to figure out who they belong to.
