<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.
It's Wednesday and Moriko's day yesterday was not great and made sitting through school miserable. After school, she's gone out. She's decided to obfuscate a few injuries with a loose cozy Jacket, a bucket hat with a few pins, a racing patch and a singular off-angle streak of white through the otherwise dull grey-blue color and loose fit cargo pants. Suspiciously oil stained and patched. Why make things difficulty with makeup. Or explaining yourself?
The teen's avoiding the shop today. Already having called in and given the day off on grounds of injuries. The oji-san's pretty understanding. Family history helps there though. For once, she didn't want to work on her bike, even if she rode it here.
Stepping out of one of the stores nearby, she's got a couple of bags on her. Most containing some geeky anime merch, two models to assemble and a few cute little figures for her desk in her room.
She's pointedly trying to avoid letting others see it. Even as she wanders through the crowd, towards the arcade. Pausing in front of another store offering deals on manga though.
She's trying to stay out of the way of people, but her movements are a bit stiff.
"Not sure if road rash is better or worse" she mutters, with a bit of a twinge of pain as she slips out of the way of one person. The comment escaping, clearly as she clamps her free hand over her mouth. Offering the nice old lady an apology and insisting it wasn't directed to her.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Kazusa grumbles as she walks down the street with her friend Wakana. Both are in Shujin uniforms, Kazusa's worn untucked. Kazusa has long black hair, purple eyes hidden behind a pair of shades, several silver bracelts on each writwrist, and pink nail polish and socks. She also looks a bit surly, looking over her shades at everyone nearby. Wakana, next to her, has short brown hair that frames her face, seems to be of a more cheerful disposition.
"Come on," grumbles Kazusa. "I really don't want to be hanging around here any longer than I have to."
"Relax, Kazusa-chan!" says Wakana brightly. "We'll be in and out and off to go study, promise. No one will even know you were here."
Kazusa huffs, sliding her shades up just a little bit. "They'd better not."
There's a store with a giant sign advertising a special, and two people in costumes calling out to passers by to stir up interest and attention. Wakana, naturally, stops to take a look. "Hey, I wonder what that's all about. Wanna go check it out?"
"No," says Kazusa flatly. But she also doesn't seem to move on, letting Wakana check out the two costumes. Her gaze drifts over to see Moriko in her outfit, and she lets out a derisive snort under her breath.
<Pose Tracker> Shinjiro Aragaki has posed.
After getting Tsubasa to safety, Shinjiro needed a day to sulk. It wasn't because of what happened yesterday... that sucked, but that's not the important thing right now.
The important thing is that he hurt Myunghon recently and now he needs to wrestle with that fact that he hurt them in a way he can't take back. His very condition feels like an ever-present weight right now, a sword of Damocles hanging over head.
He never comes out to Electric Town, but he's here. It felt like a place he wouldn't be found, somewhere outside his normal, somewhere no one would look for him.
So when he sees a face he recognize as he walks through the crowds, observant as he is, expression closed off. But he can't stop himself from approaching.
"Kumamoto," he tells his dorm mate. "Small world, huh?" He doesn't seem very energetic about it.
And then he spots Kazusa's derisive snort, considers moving on, and in his bad mood he turns and steps towards her. "Hey, trying to ward off werewolves?" He asks, eying her silver bracelets. "If not, you've got not place to criticize."
He's in his usual red winter coat and beanie, though, so he also has no place to talk fashion.
<Pose Tracker> Shizuka Kuroki has posed.
With the help of Moriko and Ririka, Shizuka had managed to get to her feet and get on the train back to Iwatodai from Sumaru before more of the authorities had arrived. It definitely wouldn't have been a good look if they had been caught with weapons and guns on their person. She had also been able to reassure (lie to) her dad on a phone call the way back that she was fine and had evacuated with the art club. She hated lying to her dad.
Once they had gotten back, she had been taken to Tatsumi Memorial Hospital to spend the night and monitor her health. She had been given a clean bill of health just in time to make it back to school around lunch and catch the second half of her classes. Sure, a lot of it was just exam review, but Mitsuru would have probably come down to the hospital and dragged her in herself if she had thought to skip the rest of the day.
Afterwards, she had decided to go into the city to clear her head a bit. Covering up her bandages with a hoodie pulled up over her head, she walks through the streets, looking at some of the merch in the windows. Nothing for Coraleman... No one respected the classics. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that two other dormmates must have had the same idea as her.
"Riko-chan! Aragaki-san! A-Are you two okay?"
<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.
Moriko had been looking the store over, though the oncoming complaints and short answers do get her gaze to drop back down to street level. Leaning back, then forth, she tries to get a better look. Giving the two of them a mean look, inadvertantly. Which is perfectly timed with Kazusa giving a snort of dersision about her outfit.
That mean look might turn legitimate!
As for Moriko, she's here a lot. Usually without being caught by others. She's fine being the resident biker tomboy. For whatever reason, nerd things are her line though.
She tenses up briefly, looking back to Shinjiro, offering a wry smile that.. at least doesn't look as mean! "I- yeah. Small world Aragaki-san." She pauses. Rolling the bag behind her as she rocks back, like she's trying to look relaxed! "Looking for a f-" She pauses very briefly and corrects, "Gift?" There we go. She can roll with that.
"Ignore her. She's here to scare small children." Said in a bit of a stage whisper.
Shizuka is met with a more worried look, like she's not sure if either of them should be up and moving, but Shizuka had definitely gotten it worse! "Hey!" She calls out, beckoning her over. "Just ran into Aragaki-san too. I'm fine!" She raises one hand. Only slightly wincing, "I have experience crashing though." Which. Probably isn't the most dignified thing, but she was just whining about road rash too.
"Are you good?" She looks back to Shinjiro, "You too. You okay?"
She does twist a bit. Watching the tsking woman though.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Kazusa's already turned her attention back to Wakana to ask her something when Shinjiro speaks. Kazusa's head slowly swivels back towards him, and she stares at him over her shades. "... Excuse you?"
Next to her, Wakana winces a little. Under her breath she mutters, "Come on, don't make a scene, I thought you didn't want to be noticed."
"Werewolves aren't real," starts Kazusa. "And I'm fashionable," she says, putting a hand on her hip. "Didn't anybody tell you it's July? God, you must be so gross all bundled up like that."
Wakana makes a long-suffering sigh and gives Shinjiro an apologetic smile.
Kazusa glances at Shizuka as she arrives but she doesn't say anything about her--yet.
She looks at Moriko and arches an eyebrow at the scaring small kids comment. "Is a crash how you explain that outfit?" she taunts, flicking a longer strand f hair back behind her shoulder.
Wakana is looking off to the side now, looking a bit embarrassed, but she's staying silent, for the moment.
<Pose Tracker> Shinjiro Aragaki has posed.
As Shizuka joins the SEES trio, Shinjiro nods to her once. "I'm fine." He does not sound or look fine, but it's not physical injury, at least, just emotional. Moriko gets a shrug. "Just here to get a change of scenery. Not my vibe."
But, the small children joke gets a laugh. Kazusa keeps going, however, so Shinjiro considers his next response, standing tall at his full six feet. If she wants to insult them, she can clearly take what she dishes, and he's in a bad enough mood to play verbal sparring.
"Yeah, you're right, your heart's much fucking colder than the air is. You have fun looking down on people you don't even know? Must be all that sweatshop fashion fumes from your knockoff clothes getting to your brain."
He'll see if Moriko defends herself. For now, he's keen on turning to Shizuka and briefly acting like Kazusa isn't even there. "How are you, Kuroki? Been tormenting the first and second years? If not, I'm disappointed." *That's* a joke, at least.
<Pose Tracker> Shizuka Kuroki has posed.
"I'm fine, nothing I couldn't sleep off. I'm healthy enough for exams, at least. Unfortunately. Don't tell Kirijo-san I said that." She rubs the back of her head, the action pulling her hood back just enough to flash the gauze wrapped around her forehead and a bandage on her cheek.
She glances over to Kazusa, deciding against actually saying anything. Just a bully, feeding on attention. She hasn't said anything to me, so no need to say anything to her. All she does is give a small smile.
"Well, if you asked them, they'd say so, but they just don't appreciate a well-honed sense of humor. At least Ikutsuki gets me. Other than that and, well, last night, I've been good!"
<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.
Moriko leans in just a bit and murmurs, "I think you've startled the yamauba Aragaki-san." Complete with the hint of a smile. When she settles back on her heels, she tilts her head just a touch and smiles thinly. "If you have to insist you're fashionable, I think you've missed the mark."
"I rode into town. Yes, the risk of a crash does explain the outfit."
She glances first to Aragaki, who seems to be in the same mindset she is. That they're covering the other. It's fine.
Shizuka's probably got the right attitude for it though. "I won't say anything if you don't." She replies, then continues, "You looking for anything out this way?" Her fingers jostling her bag a bit, "I might know where to point you. Was here looking for stuff for my brother." and herself, but that's probably obvious despite her efforts. "Good."
"You too Aragaki?" Her tone's wholly different talking at least! To those two anyway.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Kazusa is at a far more average height of 5'2", doesn't even seem to flinch as Shinjiro pulls himself to his full 6'. "All of my clothing is designer. But I wouldn't expect you to be able to recognize good fashion. Come on, red? So not your color."
Oh, but she catches that gauze and bandage. Kazusa's attention turns to her. "What happened, did you get in one of her crashes?"
"Kazusa..." says Wakana under her breath. "If she's hurt, go easy on her. And I don't even think they go to our school..." She says this as if she expects it could make a difference.
Kazusa just seems to ignore her, for the moment.
There's an arched eyebrow at the yamauba comment from Moriko... But Wakana stifles a small giggle, covering her mouth. (Thankfully, Kazusa seems not to notice.)
She's not terribly fashionable now because she's still in her schol uniform. Though... Kazusa lifts her head. "Shujin Academy has a reputation for excellence. So even in my uniform I'm more fashionable than the three of you put together."
<Pose Tracker> Shinjiro Aragaki has posed.
"Oh, so your rich daddy bought it," Shinjiro responds to Kazusa simply, before turning to Shizuka smoothly. "Glad you're feeling better... just make sure to hydrate There should be some chicken in the fridge with my name marked on it if you need protein, too."
A glance to Moriko, and a nod. "I think hags are generally nicer than her, you know?" They are not. "I'll look around if you two want me to, but I'm not going to buy anything, I don't think. Might be able to help, though." It's not lack of interest but lack of cash.
And then, he circles back to Kazusa. "You should listen to your friend. She seems like she'd be a good influence on you if you could get the stick out of your ass. Picking on injured people now? You might be 'fashionable', whatever the fuck that matters, but she has talent that people actually get remembered for. We represent Gekkoukan, an actual art school, not some rich kid prep." He normally wouldn't say that (especially since he... doesn't attend), but he wants to defend their honor, in his heated moment of venting his anguish into anger.
<Pose Tracker> Shizuka Kuroki has posed.
The air is getting really tense... and now she's been addressed... Guess she has to engage at this point...
"Oh, I just got caught up in something last night. It's not that bad, I've been through worse, haha." She pulls down her hood, showing her full face. "I'm already getting better, so don't worry about me."
She turns over to Shinjiro and raises her hands. "Aragaki-san, come on. You're better than this, even if you don't think so." She turns back to Kazusa with a soft chuckle. "Yeah, I never really pay attention to that kinda stuff. Call me old-*fashioned*, I guess~"
<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.
"I think the designer did it wrong as a joke." Moriko replies dryly, maybe playing up her Osakan accent for that drawl. As for the implication that Kazusa was in a motorcycle accident with her. "Nah. I can introduce you to one if you'd like though." She does have a bit of a temper. It's probably not the best when paired with someone else with a temper.
She's keeping it under wraps. Mostly.
"Never heard of it." The school. That is. "You Aragaki?" She's got a tone of voice that suggests she's having fun with it.
"Hm. Some of those chase you around though. Raaa you know?" She snickers, "What'cha after? Might be fun to at least look at it all." She hooks her thumb towards the shops, "Should probably pick up a fighting game for the dorm at some point. I think everyone there plays."
As for Shizuka, Moriko leans back and offers her a brief smile, "Don't worry." A bit of a whisper behind Aragaki's back. She doesn't think anything too bad will come of this. Temper aside.
<Pose Tracker> Kazusa Motojima has posed.
Just a hint of a deepening frown, the slightest grunt of annoyance as Shijiro mentions her father. "At least he cares what I look like," she retorts.
Kazusa, you know not what you have done.
Gekkoukan. Kazusa stares--no, she's glaring--at Shinjiro, and this time there is noticeable delay, brief though it may be, before she responds. "..." Her voice catches, and then she scoffs. "S-so you're artists, who cares?" With a toss of her head she declares, "I represent Shujin Academy's Rhythmic Gymnastics team, and one of these days everyone in Japan will know my name."
Wakana is looking dismayed at her side. She mouths a 'sorry' to everyone from beside Kazusa (she's standing half a step back so Kazusa can't see her do this.)
Kazusa looks at Shizuka as she pulls down her hood. She really shouldn't be going after someone injured. That's low, even for her. It just sort of... slipped out.
... But she won't apologize.
But then the pun comes. There is an eye twitch as Kazusa processes it. "Is... is this funny to you?" she says with another scoff. "I'll have you know I work very hard on my appearance. Unlike some of you."
Kazusa snorts derisively at Moriko's 'offer' to introduce her to a motorcycle crash. "As if." But then Moriko mentions fighting games, and Kazusa tenses for just a second, before letting out a loud, performative scoff. "Oh, you play fighting games?" She says with all the air of someone who might be turning her nose up. "No wonder you dress like that," is the arch follow-up, and the turns on her heel. "Come on, Wakana-chan. Let's just get what you need and leave."
She glances back over her shoulder at the three Gekkoukan students. "Some of us know we should be studying rather than making shopping trips, hmm?" She starts to walk away.
Wakana turns to the group and offers a quick bow. "S-sorry, she's... not that bad when you get to know her, really." Speeding up, she quickly gets out, "I think your school is really cool and I'm looking forward to your cultural festival okay take care!" She quickly turns and hurries after her friend.
<Pose Tracker> Shinjiro Aragaki has posed.
Something catches Shinjiro from what the others say, as Kazusa fires back and prepares to leave.
'At least he cares what I look like.'
'You're better than this, even if you don't think so.'
Shinjiro tchs, face twisting into a grimace. He watches Kazusa leave without a word, and then turns towards the way back to the station. "I'm going back to Port Island. Continue without me."
The orphan who definitely thinks he isn't better than this, who definitely only causes harm and strife and got into a fight with a bully just because he was angry then moves to walk off, hands in his pockets. He won't be stopped by any means.
<Pose Tracker> Moriko Kumamoto has posed.
Moriko glances to Aragaki and frowns, albeit briefly. Maybe it had gone too far. She's.. got a temper though. And you know, short fuze and pain. It could have been worse all things told. She reaches out to stop him and says, "Nah ignore her. Come on, let's at least grab a bite to eat. I'll treat."
The other girl? She might try to apologize for going too far. Later. Maybe.
If she's unsuccessful, at the very least she'll call out, "See you back in the dorms." She'll try!
She at least has the decency to look a bit abashed with how it shook out.
<Pose Tracker> Shizuka Kuroki has posed.
Shizuka lets out a sigh, scratching around the bandage on her cheek. That was a close one... It WAS a funny joke, though, right? "That was a Shujin uniform, wasn't it? Those guys are serious business... Anyway, I could go for a bite."
She gives Shinjiro an enthusiastic wave as he goes off. "See ya later, Aragaki-san! Riko-chan, there's a pretty good tonkatsu place just down the road, let's go."
