To most of the world, Pernelle is the pet and living mascot of Peacock Silk boutique. As an exceptionally well behaved peacock, Pernelle is beloved by all, yes, yes? But those who have awakened to Persona can hear this bird speak, revealing an excitable, theatrical avian with a bombastic demeanor. Within supernatural spaces, Pernelle is a creature with more anthropomorphic -- if cartoonish -- features, though still very much a peacock in shape with an ostentatious heart and soul. His true loyalties ultimately lie with Peacock Silk's owner, Tsumugi, above all else, but he is otherwise a lover of freedom and an incorrigible cheerleader of selfish impulses. Pernelle is more than happy to play anyone's shoulder devil, and always has an encouraging word to give... even for his enemies.

Persona

Anqa: Anqa is a beautiful, doll-like bird sewn together from golden silk, with conspicuous iridescent stitching and gemstones for eyes. Her face resembles falcon's upon the long neck of a heron, and she is in possession of a long train of feathers made of sashes that smear into a brilliant sunset gradient. The plumage on her head, resembling a peafowl's crest, is a row of sewing pins. Occasionally, the stitched seams of the bird separate, and something dark and amorphous threatens to reveal itself before it sews itself back up. (A mythical bird said to only appear once an age, and can only be found at a place of the setting sun. Though she was originally made of all perfections and a bringer of good fortune and wisdom, it is said that she eventually became a plague that brought calamity, and had to be slain.)
