"I won't be held down."

An upstanding(?) student at Kasugayama High School, Ichika Kawase garners respect and deference as the Thorn Boss, one of the gang leaders of the student body. She's an unusual figure as Bosses go, being a former Seven Sisters girl--and involved with another Boss, the Spike Boss who's also in her year. But that apparently isn't enough to satisfy her, and she's been spotted with other boys. Even her gang has mixed genders. Ichika can be standoffish but is quick to come to the defense of mistreated girls, and is like a different person if you actually see her relaxed. What she doesn't talk about with most is her experience with loss, or the reasons that she's so protective of the girls and women around her. But she has also started delving into the world of the supernatural, after an encounter with a particular Shadow, now wears the mask of Rebellion as an ogre seeking purpose in the hidden places of the world.

Background

Ichika's background is the subject of a lot of rumors at Kasugayama High School, and only some of them are true. It's known that she's a 'rich girl'--she went to Seven Sisters High for her first two years and only came to Cuss High for her third. It's known that her family lives in Iwatodai, right by Tatsumi Port Island.

It's a little less commonly known why she left Seven Sisters. Apparently she was kicked out, but only the real rumor heads know the reason. The suspicion is that it was some kind of ugly breakup. That would serve a girl like her right.

Persona

A Shadowy woman in a beautiful maple-patterned kimono, with long horns on her head and a fierce, sharp-toothed expression. Her black hair is long and loose; she has terrible claws on her fingers. One hand carries a greatclub; the other, a scroll. Momiji was a demoness of Mount Togakushi, who had once gone to court but was exiled by the wife of her lover. She brought writing and culture to the village where she settled, but also raided the surrounding areas with her gang.

Special Skills

Ichika is a great cook, and is known to sometimes cook for the other girls in her dorm. She's working on her driver's license. And she can fight. She can fight really well, actually, weathering a lot of challenges to her authority as the Thorn Boss with sheer force. She has never tried to take on Eikichi, though.

Her Approaches are as follows:

  • Nature Talk - Ichika discusses the beauty of nature--or uses her practical skills gained from years camping and hiking.
  • Thorn Boss - Ichika assumes the mantle of the Thorn Boss, approaching a situation with toughness, grit, and beauty.

Yusuke Kitagawa Kitagawa-san 4. The Emperor Acquaintance? An artist on scholarship at Gekkoukan. He called her Yuusei's muse, helped her out with art supplies, and made her think about what 'ought to be' instead of what 'is'. Learning that he's one of the Phantom Thieves helps her trust them more--and puts his word into context for her.
Maya Amano Amano-san 0. The Fool Mentor / Friend Ichika relies on Maya for her wisdom and coolness in general. She wants to talk to her more, and considers her something of a role model.
Yua Ooshiro Ooshiro-sensei, Sensei 3. The Empress Teacher A part-time teacher. She really cares... And knows things about Ichika that few do. This is fine.
Hyousuke Suzuki Hyousuke-san 7. The Chariot Friend A classmate and friend. Ichika's really worried about his tendency to take everything onto his own shoulders, but there's not much she can do about it at the moment.
